continuo to do this for seven nights. On the eight day when he slowly sneaks into the old
man’s room the old man hear a noise and he wakes up. The narrator hides himself and
waits for hours and hours for the old man to fall asleep. When the narrator gets
convinced that the old man is fast a sleep he shines the lantern at him the old man turns
around the light shines directly at his blue eye. The old man awakens but the narrator
kills him by tipping the bed over him.

hearing a man scream. The narrator shows the police men the old man’s room. He also
gives them a chair to sit. He places his chair on top of floorboard where he hid the old
mans body.
