Ensuring that all machinery and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and
operated in a safe manner and that all operations are carried out according to
correct and safe procedures.
Monitoring machinery and utilities to ensure efficient operation, to minimise fuel
and oil consumption and to ensure maximum availability of machinery at all
times.
The good working order of all emergency plant and equipment at all times, that it
is tested frequently and correctly, and that it will be instantly available if required.
Administration of the Mechanical Department on a day to day basis, and
informing the Maintenance Superintendent of all developments.
Supervision of all machinery and plant maintenance and repairs and that they are

including team meetings, handovers and information on targets and performance.
Performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring all personnel under
my jurisdiction including Service Engineers do the same.
Deputising for the Maintenance Superintendent when required.
Responsible for the safe and efficient functioning of all aspects of the mechanical
equipment of the installation and responsible for safely operating and monitoring the
Engine room equipment, utilities and Power generation prime movers.
Carrying out activities to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all aspects of
the Maintenance Department.

Member of the Emergency response team and Heli deck team when required.
Taking part in the company’s competency assurance scheme, which I completed.
Carried out dimensional survey of pipe work and structure, producing deliverable
drawings and reports for clients.
Workshop Surveyor/ dimensional control.
Welding and fabricating, Pipe fitting and flange management.
Responsible for insuring equipment was sent off shore and returned when work
scope complete. Charge hand for many work scopes and reported directly to the
off shore operations manager.
Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and to run through proposals for new
projects.
Overhaul of gas turbine fuel systems (aircraft, aero derivative and heavy
industrial).
Inspection of components using Florescent and Dye penetrant, and training staff
in these techniques – qualified to PCN Level II.
Carry out calibration and pressure testing of fuel systems.
Working to a high degree of accuracy using fine tolerances.
Working with hand tools and machinery.
