Geoboard shape Fun

Geoboards are wooden or plastic peg trays that kids can stretch rubber bands around to make things. If
you don't have some of these in your classroom, you're missing out on a great way for kids to practice
their fine motor skills, learn how to form shapes/numbers/letters, and stay occupied for a long time! My
pre-k class loves them, but even older kids can use them to learn about things like area and perimeter.

This set of cards can be printed out, cut apart and laminated. Kids can form the various shapes by
looking at the card and then using rubber bands to copy the letter onto the 5 peg by 5 peg geoboard (an
easy-to-find size). I have highlighted each different segment a different color to help even the earliest
learners figure out how to place the rubber bands. Part of the fun for them is discovering that they can
also stretch the rubber bands around "corners". Check out my store for more sets!
