EN051 or equivalent English qualification.

This course addresses the fundamental elements of communication in business


environment to equip learners with essential communication tools to ensure
success for both individuals and organization.
Upon the completion of this course, the learners will be able to:
(1) Communication effectively in writting the basic and practical business
correspondence including letters, emails, and advanced ones as reports, proposals,
business plans…
(2) communicate effectively face-to-face communication as presenting, listening,
feedback, nonverbal messages in different business contexts including
socialization, staff meetings, meetings with colleagues, customers and partners...

(3) successfully in the job search, résume and interviewing communication including
writing application letters, CV, and prepare job interview in variety situations..

(4) personalize their communication style to enhance communicative effects and


leave good impresson on readers/audience.

The course stresses a balanced approach to communication by in written and oral


essential form of business communication. It is also to give the learners
opportunities to practice face to face communication, listening and non-verbal
messages, presentation skills, job interview; technology, multicultural and global
communication, business ethics and teamwork are integrated in content and
applications throughout the course.

- Students must attend more than 80% of contact slots in order to be accepted to
the final examination.
- Student is responsible to do all tasks assigned by instructor in class or at home
and submit on time;
- Use laptop in class for learning/exam purposes only;
- Constantly follow announcements by email lecturer or on CMS at
http://cms.fpt.edu.vn for up-to-date course information regarding assignment
submission and feedback on assignments and project work.
