Essay Writing – SOP:

As a young child, driven by curiosity and seemed to want to know everything about the world around
me, I couldn’t complete a single sentence without affixing a question mark in the end. Later, I used
this inquisitiveness in work to understand others' perspectives and solve problems efficiently and
creatively. The curiosity deeply influenced many of my academic and professional choices, of which
pursuing PGPM at Great Lakes Institute of Management is the immediate one.

I am a passionate & committed individual, who finds ways to add value to the team's growth and the
outcomes achieved together. As a Senior Analyst, I conducted sessions on Internal Risk Management
Policies and Guidelines to aid my colleagues to complete Due-Diligence before accepting
Engagements. I also shared the knowledge learned from mentors to proactively add quality checks
and deploy error-free deliverables within deadlines. Consequently, this led to improved efficiency &
productivity of my team. I attribute a greater part of my achievements to perseverance. Like many
companies, PwC also faced challenges due to COVID-19 impact, following which PwC deferred
promotions and increments of employees. As a result, many colleagues resigned, but I chose to stay
even when a co-worker left with all his responsibilities shifted to me and the replacement was
unavailable for a few months. Despite tight deadlines and challenging workload, we were resilient to
complete deliverables over a short period. It was then that I learned that one progresses and grows
faster in adversity.

My short-term goal is to join a top-tier management consulting firm and help organizations make
business decisions. And to achieve that I need the Quantitative, Analytical, and Management skills
that a PGPM has to offer. My career aspiration can only be achieved through theoretical and practical
management education. The skillset and the networking that I will acquire through PGPM, alongside
my experience, will help me achieve my long-term goal to be an entrepreneur.

As an avid reader, I enjoy reading novels and books. Sports have always been a regular part of my life
and I have also developed some of my core qualities as a cricketer. I’ve represented Sir Ashley Biggs
playing Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) 5th Division in Chennai.

With the passion to learn, collaborative attitude, and unique professional experience in Transfer
Pricing and Risk Management spanning for 3 years, I will be able to add a unique perspective to the
case discussions at GLIM. I am looking forward to one year of excitement, rigor, and passion!
