Performance Task 4: Concept Map

Overview:
According to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Ambisyon Natin 2040
represents the collective long-term vision and aspirations of the Filipino people for themselves and for
the country in the next 25 years. It also describes the kind of life that people want to live, and how the
country will be by 2040. It can be achieved through the five sectors such as the a) basic research, b)
agriculture aquatic and natural resources, c) health, d) industry, energy and emerging technology and
e) disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation (Harmonized National Research and
Development Agenda 2017-2022, www.dost.gov.ph). Using concept mapping, the knowledge about
the future directions of science and technology in the country and the contribution of each individual
will be visually organized and represented. This concept map shows concepts and ideas and the
relationships among them. It is created by writing key words enclosed in shapes such as circles, boxes,
triangles, etc. and then drawing arrows between the ideas that are related or interconnected. Then a
short explanation can be added using an arrow to explain how the concepts are related
