The Propaganda Movement in the Spain La Solidaridad

After I read about the propaganda movement I felt how the Filipinos suffered so much under
Spanish rule. There were many revolts to fight against the Spaniards but they no to avail.
Solidaridad was established to express the goal of the propaganda movement toward achieving
assimilation with Spain. Also, La Solidaridad was an organization created in Spain on December
13, 18888. I was amazed and learned new something regarding the movement of Propaganda,
there was a propagandist who were very smart and could even fight without using any weapon
instead they’ve used only pen and paper to write the most important content they want to say to
fought with the Spanish in regards the reformation of Propaganda of our country. I therefore
conclude that, despite the organization having failed, there's a reason behind the story. There’s
no other strong leader aside from Rizal because he left the propaganda to others he needed to
write another book. Secondly, the organization lacked funds to support the movement and also
the Spanish government did not agree to any of its demands. Even though the Movement failed, I
really appreciated the effort of Propagandists like Dr. Jose Rizal and others tried their best to
fight with the Spaniard for reformation and independence of the Philippines. The propaganda
was the vehicle used by Filipino in their quest for independence from Spain. Philippine history

The 1872 Cavite Uprising & The Reformist

Cavite Mutiny uprising of military personnel of Fort San Felipe which was the Spanish arsenal in
Cavite, Philippines. It was unsuccessful because many participants were killed by the
government soldiers. I analyzed how difficult the situation of many Filipinos during the time of
Spaniard in 1872 was because I felt like being a slave of Spanish in order to obey what the
Spaniards were saying to us to do. Cavite mutiny is one of the major factors based on the text
that I’ve read. It is the reason for many Filipinos' awakening of nationalism among the Filipino.
Therefore, it has had a huge impact in Philippine early history. It has been a series of
colonization, revolution and freedom with Spain with Spain as the first colonizer who occupied
the Philippines for over three hundred (300) years.

We Filipinos celebrated independence day every 12th of June The Cavite Mutiny of 1872 is one
the catalyst momentous 1872. It is when three Filipino priests Father Mariano, Gomez, Jose
Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora in short what we called GUMBORZA were tried by court-martial
and finally executed by Garrote. In my reflection in regards to the reformist I could say that I am
so proud of those Filipinos who sacrificed their lives to fight for the changes of the political

The Chinese Merchants and The Illustrador

Para sa akin naniniwala ako na marami ang mga pilipino ang may lahing chinese dahil sila ay isa
din sa mga tumulong upang maiangat ang ekonomiya ng ating bansa. pumunta siya dito sa ating
bansa upang mangalakal at mag palit ng mga produkto. i wondered why chinese chose to trade
here in our country despite of being poor because they like to barter their products here in our
country. the trade with china was the beginning of a major influence and contribution within the
filipino culture. also, chinese people immigrated in our country during the spanish colonization.
it was amazing that the chinese people were good in terms of business and they are creative in
doing arts.

13 Martyrs

The history of 13 martyrs of Bagumbayan who were Filipino patriots in the Philippines are
reflected to me as a Filipino woman. I feel sad about the efforts of those 13 people or what we
called martyrs who joined in the Katipunan revolution for our country to be independent. I
appreciated their efforts to be brave because they are ready to fight and I’ve also seen in their
hearts how much they love our country. having a dream to become an independent country
without relying on another country. The Spaniards are against this Katipunan revolution led by
Emilio Aguinaldo therefore the thirteen (13) Martyrs are executed to death by firing squad of
Spaniards. Also, I saw and I felt how the Spaniards treated the Filipinos including the 13 martyrs
in ancient times and mercilessly the Spanish authorities killed the 13 martyred Filipinos who
joined the revolution, and how the Spaniards against the revolution which was created by our
fellow Filipinos and I saw in the history of these 13 martyrs they were strong, never gave up and
sacrificing their lives on the things like justice and freedom that could be beneficial to the
country.

I conclude, The 13 martyrs can also be called as heroes as well because of that, the capital of
Cavite was also renamed Trece Martires in their honor and its 13 villages were named for each
of the martyrs.

La liga Filipina

After reading, my reflection in La liga Filipina is one of the things that I liked to
read as a part of our country. This organization was created by Dr. Jose Rizal in
which the purpose was not for independence but for the protection of every
member of the said organization to have justice for those people who have been
abused and also for the economy of our country. Also, this organization should
cooperate and participate with every member of a group. The aims of the Liga
were to be carried out through the creation of a governing body composed of the

Supreme Council, the Provincial Council, and the Popular Council. The members
were each to pay ten centimo as monthly dues. Each of the members was free to
choose a symbolic name for himself. I wondered if why the Spanish authorities
needed to do to secretly arrest Dr Rizal in order to deport Rizal to Dapitan. For it’s
a dangerous way of killing someone without doing bad to the society. Even though
Rizal was killed by the Spanish authorities, some of its members continued to
support the organization while others agreed to support La Solidaridad in Spain. As
I end my reflection in regards the history of La liga Filipina that every Filipinos are
unique, brave and bright and that Filipino people are amazing even though a lot of
obstacle that we experienced not only in our lives but also in our society we must
be diligent to make a solution and never gave up on things.
