Healthcare and beyond

Over the years of success, growth and expansion that we have seen, there is one important aspect of our
business that we began to consciously think about - how we can reshape ourselves as responsible
corporate citizens of a changing world?

We believe contributing to the overall health and wellness of our world starts with lessening our impact on
the environment, and remain committed to the highest ethical standards in everything we do - right from
research and development to sales and marketing.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility involves initiatives on a micro level to include patient health,
employee and public safety, nurturing of environment and building sustainable communities. We also
engage with our external stakeholders - including healthcare professionals, investors, customers, non-
governmental organisations, and suppliers in this endeavour.

CSR Mission

We are committed to operate our business with emphasis on CSR in all areas of our operation. We will
integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of our shareholders, customers,
employees, regulators, investors, suppliers, the community and take care of environment with best
interest.

CSR Policy

A definite, well structured Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy has been framed for Ipca. CSR
policy forms a part of our corporate vision. It defines our approach on key responsibility issues and
provides guidance to employees on the company standards.

CSR Governance
Each and every manufacturing plant has implemented this CSR policy, we regularly promote awareness
amongst our people to ensure they adopt this mission in every area of work. The CSR team reviews the
progress of every plant on a quarterly basis with respect to its compliance and an annual report on
activities is prepared.

Areas of Operation:

Healthy means enjoying good health with a sound mind.

In Ipca, we ceaselessly encourage employees to maintain good health. This is done by spreading
awareness, educating and holding medical camps for employees drawing their attention to their health
condition and communicating about healthy food habits and exercise.

img_clip_image01.jpg Various training / workshops are arranged like meditation camp, yoga camp, stress
management, acupressuretherapy, health check-up, eye check-up, dental hygiene camps etc.

img_clip_image02.jpg Subsequently we conduct eye check-up and surgery camps, medicine distribution
in remote villages.

Our objective is to reduce impact on the environment through committed and consistent improvement
projects for Environment Management systems.

To achieve this, we carry out sapling plantation drive every year at all locations. In continuation, we
ensure that saplings are nurtured till the maturity stage.

We also work towards beautification of surroundings and its never-ending clean-up.

Our main objective is to create EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) culture at workplace and assimilate
throughout the organization. The benefits of maintaining a safe work environment are countless. To
inculcate this, we celebrate National Safety Week (NSW) every year. It significantly contributes in creating
wide spread safety awareness. Various functions, seminars and programmes are organized to highlight
safety issues as a custom. Poster designing, slogan writing competitions, safety oath, fire fighting drill,
exhibition of safety equipments are organized annually.

Employee development is essential for the growth and prosperity of business. Our people are our assets
and play a crucial role in the success of the organization.

Hence for their overall development we organize various programs such as, excelling communication and
improving language, time management workshops, presentation skills, TQM and many other lined up.

img_env1.jpg To update them on general knowledge, annual quiz competition i.e. Ipca Brainvita Quiz
Contest is organized wherein all employees from all locations actively participate.

Work station is also considered as second dwelling for Ipcaites, hence we celebrate various festivals with
our colleagues such as New Year, Diwali, Ganesh festival, Kite festival etc.

Along with development, it is also important to provide employees a chance to explore their hobbies, and
nurture their talent and interest. Hence we organize various sports competitions such as Ipca Cricket
Championship Trophy, Carom tournament, Chess tournament etc. At Corporate Office, Annual cultural
day, Ipca Utsav programs are developed and presented by employees. This platform portrays zeal,
enthusiasm, enjoyment wherein employees showcase their talent and cherish it every year.

img_employee4.jpg Women employees are the one who are perfectly balancing home and office at the
same time. To salute womanhood, we celebrate Women's Day at Ipca. On this day, we honor the spirit of
woman under the title 'Ipca Naari Sanman Award'. This award is to felicitate women employees who are
successfully handling home, office and at the same time taking time off and helping society.

Family members of employees are also part of Ipca family. Hence we organize various activities to
nurture, guide youngsters through Language Development classes, Career Guidance session and have
interactive event program for primary kids like drawing and poster competition. And for spouses, activities
are created to keep them involved in development of society.

Being a responsible corporate citizen, we provide support to society through various initiative programs.
Under this umbrella, various activities such as Blood donation camps, eye check-up camps in villages /
office, installation of drinking water huts etc are organized.

Moreover, we believe that improving education facilities for underprivileged children is most important in
this competitive world. We lend a hand to local schools by providing amenities such as stationery items,
carpets, sponsorships and hold various activities to generate interest and fun.
