TECHNICAL
1 Position Manager – Safety & Health
Brief Job Description The primary functions of this role are planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring
health and safety policies and programs to analyse and control conditions contributing to
occupational and environmental hazards at all MRL facilities.
Provides an interface with all departments as required for traffic, health, safety policies,
regulations, and programs. This position also involves very close liaison with, and support and
coordination of, OSHA, EQA, and federal, state, and local guidelines and requirements.
Requirements ▪ Degree or Master holder in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline and a member
of relevant professional body.
▪ Minimum 12 years relevant working experience preferably gained form sizeable companies
in infrastructure construction environment and at least 3 years working experience as a
managerial level.

2 Position Deputy Manager – Contract & Commercial


Brief Job Description To ensure consistent management of all commercial proposal and issue such as progress claims,
dispute solution and final account of sub-contracts. This generally includes oversight of the
budget and spend reporting, change management of the commercial process, as well as the
development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations and
document management. The role in the sub-contracts claim and dispute solution requires close
collaboration with various departments, including design, project management, account
management, business operations, and finance.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in Construction Management, Quantity Survey, Contract or Legal related
discipline and a member of a relevant professional body.
▪ Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience preferably gained form sizeable
companies in an infrastructure construction environment

Brief Job Description Responsible for an effective liaison with the project stakeholders during pre-construction,
construction and post-construction phases for the relevant project related matters with sections
of works
Requirements ▪ Diploma / Degree holder in related discipline and/or a member of relevant professional
body.
▪ Minimum 5-10 years relevant working experience preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.
5 Position Senior Engineer
Brief Job Description Overall in charge of the infra works including the planning and coordination of site construction
works, monitoring and control of project progress and technical functions to ensure that all
works are implemented as per approved drawings, specifications and standard operating
procedures (SOP).

Requirements ▪ Degree holder in C&S Engineering or related discipline and a member of relevant
professional body.
▪ Minimum 8-12 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.

6 Position Senior Quality Control / Assurance Engineer


Brief Job Description Responsible in identifying and executing the activities for the implementation and improvement
of Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO/QMS
9001, ISO/EMS 14001 & ISO/OHSAS 8001 and Company control procedures.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in C&S Engineering or related discipline and a member of relevant
professional body.
▪ Minimum 8-10 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.

7 Position Civil Engineer / Tunnel Engineer / Building Engineer


Brief Job Description Overall in charge of the infra works including the planning and coordination of site construction
works, monitoring and control of project progress and technical functions to ensure that all
works are implemented as per approved drawings, specifications and standard operating
procedures (SOP).
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in C&S Engineering or related discipline and a member of relevant
professional body.
▪ Minimum 5-8 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.

8 Position Rolling Stock System Engineer


Brief Job Description Responsible to assist the Rolling Stocks Senior Engineer/ Senior Manager in managing and
coordinating the overall implementation of rolling stocks and depot equipment from design to
production/construction and to support the testing and commissioning stage.
The Rolling Stock Engineer shall review and evaluate the work programs & schedules, design
drawings and documents, construction technical proposals and support all the technical and
project management activities aiming at assuring the project objectives in relation to time,
quality & cost, are achieved.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related
discipline or Diploma with more than 4 years working experience.
▪ Preferably with 3 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment
9 Position Trackwork System Engineer
Brief Job Description Responsible to assist the Trackwork Senior Engineer in managing and coordinating the overall
implementation of trackwork system from design to construction and to support the testing and
commissioning stage.
The engineer shall review and evaluate the work programs & schedules, design drawings and
documents, construction technical proposals and support all the technical and project
management activities aiming at assuring the project objectives in relation to time, quality &
cost, are achieved.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in Civil Engineering or related discipline or Diploma with more than 5 years
working experience.
▪ At least 4 years direct experience in the engineering, installation, and commissioning of track
in a rail transit system. Maintenance experience may be considered towards this
requirement.

10 Position Communication System Engineer


Brief Job Description Responsible to assist the Senior Engineer/Communications Manager in managing and
coordinating the overall implementation of communications and information system from
design to construction and to support the testing and commissioning stage.
The engineer shall review and evaluate the work programs & schedules, design drawings and
documents, construction technical proposals and support all the technical and project
management activities aiming at assuring the project objectives in relation to time, quality &
cost, are achieved.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in Telecommunications or Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related
discipline or Diploma with more than 4 years working experience.
▪ Preferably with 4 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.

11 Position Signalling System Engineer


Brief Job Description Responsible to assist the Signalling & Train Control Senior Engineer/Senior Manager in managing
and coordinating the overall implementation of Signalling & Train Control system from design
to installation/construction and to support the testing and commissioning stage.
The engineer shall review and evaluate the work programs & schedules, design drawings and
documents, construction technical proposals and support all the technical and project
management activities aiming at assuring the project objectives in relation to time, quality &
cost, are achieved.
Requirements ▪ Degree holder in Telecommunications or Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related
discipline or Diploma with more than 4 years working experience.
▪ Preferably with 4 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.
12 Position Junior Quantity Surveyor (Entry level)
Brief Job Description To assist the commercial manager on managing all commercial proposal and issue such as

13 Position Planning Engineer (Entry level)


Brief Job Description Overall in charge of monitoring and controls of the contractor progress performance and
coordinate with other departments within MRL organization specifically at site level and
technical functions to ensure that all works carried out by the contractor are implemented as
per approved programme.
Requirements ▪ Diploma / Degree holder in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related
discipline and a member of a relevant professional body.
▪ Preferably with 1-2 years relevant working experience, preferably gained form sizeable
companies in infrastructure construction environment.

14 Position Junior Quality Control / Assurance Engineer (Entry level)

Procedures, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and HR
administrative functions.
