SYNOPSIS

TITLE
CRICKET ACADEMY, KERALA

INTRODUCTION
Millions of Indian children aspire to become professional cricketers but they lack of proper
support and opportunities. This is where the point of professional training comes into light by
giving importance at grass root levels using a World class Cricket academy.
The academy will be keen to find out local talents and to give them world class training and
opportunities as children in the local level of the state lacks in good opportunities and
facilities. So aim of the academy is to search and hone skills of young talents mainly in the
local level and prepare them for state and national level.
BCCI and other sports organizations also want young talents to nurture from the beginning.
So with the help and support in terms of grants and concessions establishing a cricket
academy with world class facilities will be a good business venture.

OBJECTIVES
i) To find and hone skills of local young talents of the state at the grass root level and to
provide world class facilities.
ii) To teach and increase the importance of sports in society.

METHODOLOGY
The thesis will start by understanding the importance and necessity of an academy in the state as
well as in the local level. Case studies will be carried out of similar projects not only of cricket but of
other sports also to understand more about the project and its possibilities.

LITERATURE REVIEW
The National Cricket Academy at Bengaluru, Karnataka is the official cricket academy of
India. It comes under the aegis of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). As it

is backed by the national bureau, NCA is one of the finest in India. The academy was
established in the year 2000 at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
With practising pitches and bowling machines, the academy also offers a residential stay
to the players. On the other hand, it also provides training at three different levels.

OUTCOME
The proposal for a cricket academy is made for the children who lacks in opportunities and facilities
of the rural areas of the state and to provide them with world class facilities thereby transforming local
talents into national and state level players.
The academy also targets on national and state level professional cricketers to come and train in this
academy thus public focus to this academy will also be increased thereby increasing the sports spirit
of the people in the locality.
