Advertisement for engagement of Retired officers under the GMDA (Engagement of


Experts) Regulation, 2018 and the GMDA (Appointment of Temporary Staff)
Regulation, 2018 on contract basis

Applications are invited from dynamic, effective, eligible Retired officers up to the
age of 62 years for engagement against the posts mentioned below in Gurugram Metropolitan
Development Authority (GMDA) under the provisions of GMDA (Engagement of Experts)
Regulations, 2018 and GMDA (Appointment of Temporary Staff) Regulations, 2018.
The Terms and conditions for the posts:-

1. Chief General (i) An officer retired from the post of Chief Engineer 01
Manager in Civil Engineering or equivalent in the Central
(Mobility) Government or State Government or a statutory
authority or Board or Corporation owned or controlled
by the Central Government or State Government ; and
(ii) 15 years Experience in the field of Road
Engineering or Transport Planning in the Central
Government or the State Government or statutory
authority or any Board or Corporation owned or
controlled by the Central Government or the State
Government; and
(iii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric
or Higher Education.

2. Legal Advisor (i) Degree of LLB or equivalent from a recognized 01


university or institute in India or abroad recognized by
the Bar Council of India.
(ii) Qualified to be registered as an Advocate in any
State Bar Council of India in terms of Advocates Act,
1961.
(iii) Experience in lower judiciary or having
undertaken judicial or legal work, in Supreme Court,
High Court or any other Court Government or a
regulatory Authority or a Tribunal or any similar forum
or legal manager or above in the corporate sector having
experience of handling matters related to contracts.
(iv) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric
or Higher Education.

3. Project (i) An officer retired from the post of Superintendent 01


Coordinator Engineer or equivalent in the Central Government or the
State Government or Deputy General Manager or
equivalent in statutory authority or any Board or
Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government/ State Government and having experience
in coordination of infrastructure projects and having
worked at senior level position in government
organisations dealing with large infrastructure projects
or large corporations dealing with infrastructure
engineering matters.

(ii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric


or above.
4. Advisor (i) An officer retired from the post of Chief Engineer 01
(Electrical or equivalent in the Central Government or State
Infrastructure) Government or a statutory authority or Board or
Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government or State Government and having at least
15 years experience in Electrical Infrastructure projects
in government organizations dealing with large
infrastructure projects or large corporations dealing
with electrical infrastructure engineering matters.

(ii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric


or Higher Education.
5. Deputy A retired officer of Central Govt. or State Govt. from 01
Secretary equivalent post and having following educational
qualifications and experience as under:-
(i) Graduate from a recognized university or
institution;
(ii) Fifteen years experience out of which eight years
experience in administration, work and knowledge of
Manual of Office Procedure, ability to analyze
proposals, draft notes and letters, file management,
record management and official communications.
Functional knowledge of working on computers.

(iii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric


or Higher Education.
6. Chief Sports An officer retired from the post of Deputy Director of 01
Officer Sports or equivalent in the Central Government or the
State Government or statutory authority or any Board
or Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government or the State Government and having
qualifications as under:-
(i) Graduate from a recognized university or
institution; and
(ii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric or
above.
7. Superintendent An officer retired from the post of Superintendent or 01
(Admin) equivalent in the Central Government or the State
Government or statutory authority or any Board or
Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government or the State Government and having
qualifications and experience as under:-
(i) Graduate from a recognized university or
institution; and

(ii) Fifteen years experience out of which at least


five years experience in administration in the Central
Government or the State Government or Board or
Corporation or statutory authority under the Central
Government or the State Government.
(ii) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric
or above.

8. Assistant Legal An officer retired from the post of Assistant District 01


Advisor Attorney or equivalent in the Central Government or the
State Government or statutory authority or any Board
or Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government or the State Government and having
qualifications and experience as under:-
(i) Degree of LLB or equivalent from a recognized
university or institute in India or abroad.
(ii) Qualified to be registered as an Advocate in any
State Bar Council of India.
(iii) At least five years experience in having undertaken
judicial or legal work and legal drafting, contracts etc;

(iv) Knowledge of working on computer.

(v) Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subject in Matric


or above.
2. The above post shall be filled up by engaging retired officers who have served in the
Central Government or State Government or statutory authority, Board or Corporation owned
or controlled by the Central Government or the State Government.
3. Applicants may note the following: -
a. Age and term of appointment: The age of the applicant on the last day of
submission of the application should not exceed 62 years. The term of
appointment of a person shall be three years or the duration of the project on
which he is appointed, or till he attains the age of 65 years, or joining of
permanent incumbent, whichever is earlier.
b. Remunerations : The remuneration payable to the candidates selected on
contract basis shall be last pay drawn minus pension received. Retired persons
who are not in receipt of pension, a lump sum pay equivalent to 50% of last
pay drawn may be paid.
c. No special pay, compensatory allowance, house rent allowance, medical
allowance or any other allowances shall be payable.
d. Persons appointed as temporary staff shall not be eligible for any kind of
pension, gratuity or death benefit etc. for the period of such appointment.
e. Submission of Applications : Eligible candidates who are willing may submit
scanned copy of their application in prescribed Performa attached at
Annexure `A` along with a photograph to GMDA through e-mail. Mail id :

f. Last date for submission of applications : 20th April, 2021.


4. Existing incumbent need not apply for these posts. Their candidature will be
considered as per their performance.
5. Incomplete applications or those received after the last date for submission of
application shall be summarily rejected.
