Activity Description
Provide a brief description of the proposed activity. Ensure you include specific details on how your
project will encourage students to consider health and science related careers in a positive way.

The Science fair will be geared towards introducing students to various careers in
the field of science. Covering topics such as space science (black holes), the science of
cooking/baking, first nations science (smoking fish & herbal medicine). Craft
making/project building such as first nation’s arts and crafts, building volcanoes and
steam engines, building simple machines and careers in science.

Anticipated Results/Deliverables:
Please describe your anticipated results/deliverables and how the activity inspired students to
pursue health and science related education and career opportunities.

The science fair will cover a wide range of topics to introduce and expose students to
the various careers in the field of science. The various hands on learning activities
will give students a better understanding of some of the activities involved in the
sciences. The science fair will consist of various themes represented in the different
classrooms and school gym that introduces and promotes the sciences. This hands
on approach and fun activities will cause students to enjoy science.
