The Past Perfect is a verb tense which is used to show that an action took place once or many
times before another point in the past.
Example:
Statement: You had studied playing guitar in Manila before you moved in California.
Question: Had you studied playing guitar before you moved in California?
Negative: You had not studied playing guitar before you moved in California.
