5.3 Class-of-Service 5.5 Signal Tones
Each line point has a set of Class-of-Service bits to set certain Different call types and information have different signal tones
functions and modes. The system has two 16-bit control words and/or patterns.
(tables), one basic control word which is read by the FC program
and one expanded control word used by the master program only. • The signal frequency is 640 Hz (+480 Hz in Emergency call).
The default setting for all bits are “1" in a new or initialized SW • The signal duration is from 100 ms to 800 ms repeated or
program.. The C-o-S bits can be changed per line point in the non-repeated.
SysMain Class-of-Service tables. Each bit acts as a switch to turn CALL

wires, radiating wires and equipment like radio
transmitters and electrical motors, or use

9.1 Line Length
The standard line circuit of the M100 S-72 exchange is designed
for a line loop resistance lower than 250 ohms at a line voltage
of 36 V. I.e. by short circuiting the line at one end, the measured Fig.17 Line cable distribution in small systems

supply LBB 7102/93 is 6 A.
q Calculate the total line current (IL) by adding the currents in
the LINE column for all used line points FNote that stations without socket and some kits are
powered directly, see installation instructions.
The available current for kits (IA) = 6–IL.
EXAMPLES: * Kits used in the LBB 7080/nn station series must
have local power supplies.
64 master stations:
Line current in All Call: IL = 64 x 0.035 = 2.3 A * Do not connect any power pole to earth!
Available current for kits: IA = 6.0 – 2.3 = 3.7 A
48 master stations and 8 simplex loudspeakers:
Line current to master stations: ILstn = 48 x 0.035 = 1.7 A
Line current to loudspeakers: ILlsp = 8 x 0.4 = 3.2 A
Total line current in All Call: 4.9 A
Available current for kits: IA = 6.0 – 4.9 = 1.1 A
Remember to calculate the kit current consumption from the PEAK col-
umn as the internal power supply is regulated.
