PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Advance Vertical Flight Lab
Aerospace Research Technician – US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), College Station, TX January 2020 – Present
• Developed an amphibious platform with multiple cycloidal propellers providing 360° of instantaneous thrust vectoring.
• Created 3D models of cycloidal propellers, hull, and transmission system using SolidWorks, 3D printing, milling, and
assorted hand tools for various under water testing analysis.
• Delivered iterative design models enabling the lab to verify our models through computational fluid dynamic analysis
within real world testing.
• Optimized cyclic blade pitch control for station keeping and underwater maneuvering by using Matlab and Python to
analyze underwater test data.
• Delivered technical presentations detailing requirements, analysis, and test results to communicate with stakeholders such as
sponsors and NRL.

PROJECTS
Preliminary Design of a Business Executive Jet (BizX) August 2021 – Present
• Delivered a system requirement document that outlines functional requirements, performance requirement, subsystems, and
concepts of operations.
• Calculated the aerodynamic coefficients, aerodynamic center, lengths, and weights for the aircraft using AAA.
• Created a 3D model of a business jet with truce-braced wings using SolidWorks to analyze wind tunnel test data.
Optimization of a Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) August 2021 – December 2021
• Analyzed performance measurements to obtain the figure of merit, aerodynamic coefficients, and power requirements through
blade element momentum theory.
• Determined effects of blade airfoil section, blade twist, blade planform taper, rotor solidity to optimize a mini rotor for
optimum power and thrust on Matlab.
F-100 Jet Engine Analysis January 2020 – May 2020
• Analyzed a F-100 afterburning turbofan engine to simulate the power cycle using Matlab.
• Produced data to mitigate excess fuel consumption and thrust produced within a given fuel consumption level.

LEADERSHIP
Union of Vietnamese Student Association of the Southern Region
General Staff – Internal Development and Alumni Relations Committee August 2019 – May 2020
• Developed efficiency amongst member schools’ Vietnamese Student Associations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
• Maintained communications and record keeping between the communities at 9 partner schools.
Vietnamese Student Association
Vice President of External Affairs August 2019 – May 2020
• Oversaw membership growth by 250% in the first month by hosting more events and event evaluations.
• Developed and executed large events up to 100+ members such as volunteering, social, and professional development
workshops for members, campus, and the community on campus.
• ‘Organization of the Year’ by Asian Presidents’ Council and ‘VSA of the Year’ by the Union of Vietnamese Student
Associations.
