NO ANIMAL TESTING
In line with EU regulations, all products are tested on human volunteers, not animals. Since 1997 we have also ensured that none of our ingredients have been tested on animals.

NO SYNTHETIC PERFUMES OR COLOURS

We are proud that our formulations exclude synthetic perfumes and colours. Instead we prefer to use the unique aromas of pure essential oils. Colour is provided by the ingredients or natural inorganic minerals.

OUR HERITAGE
The story began over 30 years ago when British beauty therapist, Susan Molyneux became, perhaps, the first beauty therapist to recognise that the efficacy of professional products required a different formulation to those available at the time.
Unable to find a range that suited her clients demands, Susan began creating her own products from English herbs and plants, marine extracts and natural ingredients to produce one of the most exciting skin care ranges available to professional therapists, quickly becoming the number one choice of beauty professionals in the UK. As the brands reputation grew, Susan's reputation also expanded internationally as the beauty therapist who genuinely understood the requirements of other beauty therapists, delivering the products to match. Today, the brand has thousands of beauty therapists working with the product each day and delivering superb skin care to millions of women each year. Susan herself is no longer a part of the Monu skincare team, but the company is as committed to her values as it was 30 years ago. Over the past few years the brand has been refreshed, new products and ingredients introduced and innovative ranges created with world class formulator, Dr. Colette Haydon. New professional treatment protocols have been designed by celebrated facialists, who have used their extensive knowledge of skin and massage techniques to enhance the results that the ranges can achieve. Manufacturing at the companys headquarters in Cheltenham Spa has been painstakingly overveiwed to maintain every original aspect of the brand, whilst innovating wherever it will improve the final result.

Monu Skincare is a market leader in the Skincare Industry, as a result of our long term focus on research and the development of exciting new products. Our world renowned research and development team is led by Dr Colette Haydon.

Colette Haydon is a qualified doctor of pharmacy and dermo-cosmetology (University of Lyon, France). During her training and early career she gained broad experience with the Institut Merieux, L'Oreal/Lncome and Laboratoires C. Le Moult/Phyta. After moving to the UK she worked for both Biocosmetics and The Wellcome Foundation. Dr Colette Haydon is an acknowledged specialist in skin and cosmetic technology. She is a frequent contributor to glossies and beauty columns and a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists. Her laboratories are based in London where some of the most prestigious UK skin care brands have been formulated.

POOR SKINCARE INGREDIENTS

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE SKIN

This is a foaming agent often found in shampoos, bubble baths, and foaming cleansers, but it strips the skin and can cause sensitivity and dehydration. Derived from sheep wool this ingredient can often be found in lip balms. This ingredient blocks pores, causes breakouts and can cause allergic skin reactions such as eczema. A preservative used in some products often nail polishes, this ingredient can give off a toxic gas causing irritations, especially to the mucus membrane. These colorants that are added to product to give it a certain colour cause the pores to block resulting in breakouts. Artificial fragrance can cause hyper pigmentation if used frequently on the skin. Often used to make a product smell a certain way. Often found in sun protection products, this irritating ingredient can cause eczema within the skin and can often cause prickly heat. Another ingredient often found in sun protection products, this ingredient can become a carcinogen when it comes into contact with the sun!
