Background of the Study

There are many factors affecting the success in every work, hence, it is important to appreciate the
impact of every position from small to vast. Each impact is made through the combined contributions
of specialized workers in a specific field. This aspect is discovered through gaining experience in
accordance with maturity timeline of an individual by fulfilling the societal norms of human stages.
However, there are still people who experienced preclusion in discovering the right field for
themselves due to some circumstances. This is when the disadvantaged group experiences challenges
in work application.

The focused disadvantaged group is the population of the out-of-school youth in Barangay Gumaoc.
The researchers conducted an intervention program to provide an assistance into which the out-of-
school will experience more convenient way in finding jobs that will fit their skills and interests.
PMAMT ('Pag May Alam, May Trabaho) Program provides and shares information about the
 availability of existing organizations and institutions that can possibly address the problem of the
out-of-school youth through the utilization of three important aspects—education, employment and
entrepreneurship.

Education, employment, and entrepreneurship could attribute development in the out-of-school

youth’s KSA in distinctive ways. Therefore, the researchers have to consider what approach of
reaching out fits a certain individual. According to Boogard (2019), loving what you personally
chose is a wonderful thing. Not only it will bring home the bacon, but you also get the added reward
of feeling fulfilled, accomplished, and satisfied. And it’s pretty much of the human nature to enjoy the
things they are good at. It simply means that if personal interests based on demographic profile are
put into priority, it is more likely that the out-of-school youth will undertake the implementation of
intervention program with great degree of acceptance. (Excerpt from the research of Española et al.,
2020)

My Critique

In this 2020 study the researcher aims to help the out of

school youth to seek a job. Many out of school youth has a low
employment due to they are lack of requirements. In this study , the

2021-2022
MERGEFOR program PMMAT.
The study that centered on utilization of individuals interest
and abilities is an effective inquiry that supports out of school youth. In
this way, people are given the chance to enjoy the things they are good
at. It is more like of honing their God-given talents. If given the chance ,
those individuals will start from small like cultivating their interest going to
vast in their way of becoming expert in their field of expertise. The study
remain effective as it is. It was also provided by several citations which
support the argument imparted by the researchers. It also give emphasis
on the three aspects which is education, employment and
entrepreneurship as choices for youths in pursuing development because
doors are open to cater their interest.
However, it can trigger drawbacks in a sense that it favors
those out of school youths where in fact, behavior of not participating in
school is highly discouraged. Though it helps them cultivate their ability
but there is a proper way and proper place to engage in order for them to
learn. Thus, the study is effective where the advantages outweighs the
disadvantages because it gives solution somehow to give aid to out of
 school youth.
