Subject: Work and Cost proposal for Geotechnical Analysis for Proposed 80 sqm. Residential Bldg.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Sir/Madam;

In accordance with your inquiry on the above subject, we are pleased to submit our quotation.

We understand that this investigation will consist of Subsurface Geotechnical / Geological Foundation
investigation.

Field and Laboratory test will be conducted for the engineering characterization of rock and soil Condition to
determine the strength of the subsurface materials.

1. FIELD WORK

This requires drilling of Two (2) Boreholes of 15 meters depth if exceed in 15 meters
depth there will be an additional charge of 1,000.00 per linear meter until the hard rock
refusal had reached.

The COMBINED TOTAL MINIMUM DEPTH to be drilled is Thirty (30) meters.

1.1.1 Wash boring will be employed to advance the hole into subsurface materials.
1.1.2 Rotary core drilling will resorted or diamond drilling utilizing a rotary hydraulic
drilling machine to obtain rock core samples will be used.
1.2 FIELD TESTING

1. Standard Penetration Test (SPT) shall be conducted at every 1.0-meter interval up

to a depth of 6.0 meters thereafter through and then 1.5 meters after reaching a
depth of 3.0 meters into hard strata. This is an in-situ test performed while
advancing the borehole. Soil at different depths is given a numerical rating
(N-Value) which is measured of the relative density of sands or consistency of
clays.
2. Field Sampling: Subsurface materials will be collected through:
2.1 Disturbed soil samples shall be retrieved by means of a 2.00” O.D and 1-3/8”
I.D Split spoon driven by a 140 lbs. hammer.
2.2 Undisturbed soil samples (UDS) will be collected using a hollow thin walled,
Cylindrical container (Shelby Tube) hydraulically pressed to extract and
Cohesive soils.

2. GEOMECHANICS LABORATORY

All samples will be taken to our laboratory for testing. This test will establish safe construction parameters for
rock and soil. The following test, as other engineering test that clients may specify, will be conducted conforming
to ASTM, AASHTO and USCS standards.
