Plenary – Class discussion about what we have
learnt in the lesson.

Input – Measuring the weather PowerPoint (PREPARED IN ADVANCE)

Activity – making own rain gauge/wind vane  Gravel/large stones
(preparation needed).  Ruler
Children will use this over future lessons to Wind vane
record the weather using the weather recording  Drinking straw
sheet. Introduce this sheet in the lesson.  Piece of thin card
