MAKERSPACE CHOICE BOARD

Here are some fun makerspace activities you can do at home! You can choose to do
as many or as few as you would like.
These tasks encourage problem solving and critical thinking skills. The process for
each should involve: IMAGINE - PLAN - CREATE - EXPERIMENT - IMPROVE

In other words, think of some ideas, make a plan/design, create it, see how well it
works, find ways to improve your design. I would love to see pictures or videos of
your creations!

Ways you can share your work:

● Drag the video or picture to the Google Drive folder, “Student Work”,
● Email me trevor.nugent-smith@sd8.bc.ca
● Upload to Class Dojo Portfolio

Prompts for Parents:

What’s happening?
What’s your goal?
What’s next?
What is working?
What is not working?
What can you do to fix that?
What are some adjustments
you can make to improve
your design?

Embrace the mistakes.
