INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPETITIONS:

1. MODEL MAKING COMPETITION:


Elementary Level:
1. Students from Grade III to VIII can participate in this category.
2. Students can participate individually or in group.
3. The Model presented by the students must relate to STEM (specifically Science & Maths).
4. Participants will be given 4-6 minutes to explain their models.
5. Participants must be able to answer the Questions paused by judges/ visitors.
6. The decision of judges will be final.
7. The registration fee per head is 300/-
8. Cash prizes for this category are as under:
Winner: Rs. 5000/-

1 Runner-up: Rs. 3000/-
2nd Runner-up: Rs. 2000/-
9. Each participant will get the Certificate of Participation.
10. No entries shall be entertained after 22nd Jan, 2022.

Higher-Secondary Level:
1. Students from Grade IX to XII can participate in this category.
2. Students can participate individually or in group.
3. The Model presented by the students must relate to STEM (specifically Science, Maths &

2. QUIZ COMPETITION:
Elementary Level:
1. Students from Grade III to VIII can participate in this category.
2. Only individuals can participate, no pair or group is allowed.
3. A Sample Booklet of 100 MCQs will be provided at the time of registration. It contains 40 MCQs on
Science, 40 MCQs on Maths and 20 MCQs on ICT.
4. The Quiz will be taken as Objective-type Paper-Pencil Test. It will contain 50 items and hence will
be 50 marks. Marks distribution according to the subject is as under:
Science= 20 MCQs
Maths= 20 MCQs
ICT= 10 MCQs
5. The stipulated time to attempt the quiz will be 50 minutes.
6. The medium of instruction will be English.
7. 40% questions of the Quiz will be referred from provided Sample Booklet.
8. Mobile phones, calculators and smart watches will not be allowed during the Quiz.
9. The RULES shall be communicated before the Quiz. The participant will be disqualified in case of
violating any rule.
10. The registration fee per head is 300/-
11. Cash prizes for this category are as under:

3. LESSON PLAN MAKING COMPETITION:
1. Students of district colleges and universities of any department can participate in this category.
2. Students can participate on individual basis only.
3. The lesson plan must be made for elementary level students (Grade III to VIII) and must align with
the theme of STEM Education.
4. The subjects for making Lesson Plan are Science & Maths and stipulated time is 40 minutes.
However, participants may select the topic of their own choice.
5. Participants must consider the context (i.e. No. of students, their level and available facilities) while
developing a lesson plan.
6. The lesson plan should be made in a proper format (i.e. including all the necessary elements).
7. The lesson plan should be made in English language only.
8. Only online submissions are allowed.
9. Participants will share their lesson plan on the given mailing address and will must ensure whether
their lesson plan is submitted or not.

10. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Only 25% similarity is acceptable.

16. The participants may submit their lesson plans as soon as they are done. However, No entries shall
be entertained after 23rd Jan, 2022.

4. MICRO-TEACHING COMPETITION:
1. Students of district colleges and universities of any department can participate in this category.
2. Students can participate on individual basis only.
3. The subjects for Microteaching are Science & Maths for elementary level students (Grade III to
VIII).
4. Each participant will be given 7-10 minutes for microteaching.
5. The participants may select the topic of their own choice, however, it must be align with the theme
of STEM Education.
6. Participants must consider the context (i.e. No. of students, their level, available facilities, materials
required, etc.) and should inform it to the judges in the beginning of Microteaching.
7. Participants are encouraged to use English as a medium of instruction. However, they may remain
Bilingual as well.
8. Participants are advised to consider all the necessary elements of Microteaching before registration.
9. The decision of judges will be final.

5. STEM ACTIVITIES BOOKLET- ORAL PRESENTATION


COMPETITION:
1. Students of district colleges and universities of any department can participate in this category.
2. Students can participate on individual basis only.
3. Participants will design STEM related ACTIVITIES for elementary level students (Grade III to
VIII) and will present them in the form of Booklet.
4. The number of activities should not be less than 5 and should not be greater than 7.
5. Each activity should be defined under specific subject and topic.
6. Each participant will be given 7-10 minutes for presentation.
7. Each activity should be well-explained within the stipulated time.
8. Participants must consider and inform the context (i.e. No. of students, their level, materials
required, cost, etc.) to the judges while presenting.
9. All the activities should be practical and relevant to the context of Sindh.
10. Participants are encouraged to speak in English. However, they may remain Bilingual as well.
11. Participants are advised to consider all the necessary skills for a good presentation while preparing.
12. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
13. The decision of judges will be final.
