‫ِﻬﻢ{‪} ،‬و‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎَﻣﻊ‬
‫ِإﻳﻤﺎﻧ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِإ‬‫ْدادوا‬ ‫َ‬
‫ِ‬‫ُﺺ‪ .‬ﻗﺎل اَُﻌﺎ ‪} :‬‬ ‫َﻨﻘ‬ ‫ِﻌﻞ‪َ،‬وِﺰ ﺪ و‬ ‫ْﻮل وﻓ‬ ‫َوﻫﻮ ﻗ‬
‫َُ‬ ‫ُ ًَ‬ ‫ﻳﻦَ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫ُْ‬ ‫ً ََُ َ‬ ‫ُُ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫ً َ َْ‬ ‫َُ‬ ‫َْ‬
‫ْﻮُ‪:‬‬‫ﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ{‪َ،‬وﻗ‬‫ِإ‬‫آﻣﻨﻮا‬ ‫اد اَِ‬ ‫ْﺰد‬‫َ‬ ‫ْﻢ{‪َ،‬‬
‫}و‬ ‫ْﻢ ﻘ‬
‫َﻮاﻫ‬ ‫ْﻢ ﻫﺪى وآﺗﺎﻫ‬ ‫ْواَزادﻫ‬ ‫َﺪ‬‫ﻳﻦ اﻫﺘ‬ ‫ْوا ﻫﺪى{‪} ،‬واِ‬ ‫َﺪ‬ ‫ﻳﻦ اﻫﺘ‬ ‫اِ‬
‫ْ ًَ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫ُ‬‫ْ‬ ‫ُ ََْ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ْ‬ ‫ً‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬‫ُ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ِ إﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ ﻓﺄﻣﺎ اَِ‬‫ً‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ُﺮه‪} :‬ﻓﺎﺧﺸﻮﻫﻢ ﻓﺰادﻫﻢ‬
‫ِإﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ{‪.‬‬ ‫ِإﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ{‪َ.‬وﻗﻮ ﺟﻞِذﻛ‬ ‫َﺰاد ﻬﻢ‬‫ﻳﻦ آﻣﻨﻮا ﻓ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ه‬‫ﺬ‬‫ِ‬‫ﻫ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫اد‬‫ز‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻳ‬‫}أ‬
‫ً‬ ‫ْ‬‫َ‬ ‫ً‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫ُ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬‫ُ‬‫ْ‬‫َ‬
‫ِﻠﻴﻤﺎ{‪.‬‬ ‫ِﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎَو ﺴ‬ ‫ِﻻ إ‬ ‫}وﻣﺎ زادﻫﻢ إ‬ ‫َوﻗﻮ ﻌﺎ ‪َ:‬‬
‫َﻦ َ‬ ‫ُْ‬ ‫ُ‬‫ْ‬ ‫ُﺐ ا َ‬ ‫َْ‬
‫ﺎن‪.‬‬
‫اﻹﻳﻤِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ﻣ‬‫ِ‬‫ِ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ِ‬‫ﺾ‬ ‫ﻐ‬ ‫ا‬‫و‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫وا‬
‫َ‬ ‫ًَ‬ ‫َ‬‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ًُ‬ ‫ُ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫ْْ‬ ‫َُ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ََ ُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ِﻦ‬‫ِﻊ وﺣﺪودا وﺳ ﻨﺎ‪ ،‬ﻤ‬ ‫ِﺾ و اﺋ‬ ‫ﺎن ﻓﺮاﺋ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ﻺﻳﻤ‬‫ِ‬ ‫ِنِ‬ ‫ِﺪي إ‬ ‫ِﻦ ﻋ‬ ‫ِﺪي ﺑ‬ ‫ِ ﻋ‬ ‫ِﺰِﺰ إ‬ ‫ِﺪ اﻟﻌ‬ ‫َو ﺘﺐ ﻤﺮ ﻦ ﺒ‬‫ُ‬
‫َُ َُ‬ ‫ََََْْ َُ‬ ‫ْْ‬ ‫َْْ َ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫َ ََ‬ ‫َ ْْ‬ ‫ََْ‬ ‫ْ‬
‫َﻬﺎ ﻟ ْﻢَﺣ‬ ‫َﺴﺄﺑ ﻨ‬‫ِﻋﺶ ﻓ‬ ‫ِن أ‬‫اﻹﻳﻤﺎن‪ ،‬ﻓﺈ‬‫ِﻞ ِ‬ ‫َﻜ‬
‫ِﻤ‬ ‫َﻬﺎْﻢَﺴﺘ‬ ‫ْﺴﺘﻜ‬
‫ِﻤﻠ‬ ‫ْﻢَ‬ ‫َﻣﻦ‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎن‪َ،‬و‬ ‫اﻹ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫َﻤﻞ‬ ‫َﻜ‬ ‫َﻤﻠﻬﺎ اﺳﺘ‬ ‫اﺳﺘﻜ‬
‫ْﻢَ‬ ‫َُ‬ ‫ََ ْ‬ ‫ُ َ ََْْ َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ِﺮٍﺺ‪.‬‬ ‫ِﺘ ِ‬ ‫ُﻣﺖَﻤﺎ أﻧﺎَ ُﺻﺤﺒ‬ ‫ِن أ‬ ‫ِﻬﺎ‪َ،‬و‬ ‫َﻤﻠﻮا ﺑ‬ ‫ﻌ‬
‫ْ‬ ‫َْ َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬‫َ‬

‫ِﻠﺲ ﺑ‬ ‫َوﻗﺎلُﻣﻌﺎذ‪ :‬اﺟ‬

‫ﻳﻤﺎن ﻪ‪.‬‬ ‫اﻹ‬
‫ٍد‪ :‬اِﻘ ِ‬ ‫ُﻦَْﺴﻌﻮ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َوﻗﺎل ا‬
‫ْ‬ ‫عَﻣﺎَﺣَ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫َُ َ‬ ‫ُْْ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ْ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫َْ ُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ِر‪.‬‬‫ِ ا ﺼﺪ‬ ‫ﺎك‬ ‫َﺪ‬‫َﻮىَﺣ ﻳ‬ ‫ِﻘﻴﻘﺔ ا ﻘ‬ ‫َﻌﺒﺪ ﺣ‬ ‫َﺮ‪ :‬ﻻ ﺒﻠﻎ اﻟ‬ ‫ُﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫َوﻗﺎل ا‬
‫ََُُ ًَ ً‬ ‫َََُ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫َ ٌ َ ََُ‬ ‫َُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫اﺣﺪا‪.‬‬
‫ِِ ِ‬‫و‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻳﻨ‬ ‫د‬ ‫ﺎه‬‫ﻳ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻳ‬ ‫ﺎك‬ ‫ﻨ‬‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺻ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ِﻫﺪ‪ َ} :‬ع ﻟ ﻢ{ أ‬ ‫َوﻗﺎل ﺎ‬
‫ًَ َ ًَ ً‬ ‫ًَْ‬ ‫ُﻦَ ﺒﺎس‪ْ} :‬‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ُﺳﻨﺔ‪.‬‬‫ِﻴﻼ و‬ ‫ِﻣﻨﻬﺎﺟﺎ{ ﺳ‬ ‫َﻋﺔ و‬ ‫َوﻗﺎل ا ٍ ِ‬

‫‪(2) Chapter: Your invocation means your faith‬‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎﻧ ْﻢ‬ ‫َؤ ﻢ‬
‫ِإ‬ ‫ﺑﺎب د‬

‫‪Narrated Ibn 'Umar:‬‬ ‫َﺎن‪،‬‬‫ِ ُﺳﻔﻴ‬‫َ ﻧﺎَﺣﻨﻈﻠﺔْﻦ أ‬‫ُﻦُ ﻮ ‪ ،‬ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬ ‫َ‬
‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒﻴﺪ اِ‬
‫َ‬‫ََ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َْ َ َ ْ ُ‬ ‫َ ْ‬
‫‪) said: Islam is based on (the‬ﷺ( ‪Allah's Messenger ‬‬
‫َﺮ ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻬﻤﺎ ـ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎل‬ ‫ِﻦ َﻤ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﺑ‬
‫ٍ‪ ،‬ﻋ‬‫ِ‬‫ِﻦ ﺧﺎ‬‫َﻣﺔ ﺑ‬ ‫ْﻦِﻋﻜ‬
‫ِﺮ‬
‫‪following) five (principles):‬‬
‫ْ ََ‬ ‫َُ َْ ََ‬ ‫َُ‬
‫‪1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but‬‬ ‫َﻬﺎد‬
‫ِة‬ ‫ُمَ ٍﺲ ﺷ‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬
‫ِ ِ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ﺑ‬ ‫ر‬
‫َ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ًَ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬‫َ‬
‫َﺎ‬ ‫ِة‪َ،‬و‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ‪ ،‬و‬ ‫ِﻻ اَُوأن ﻤﺪاَر‬ ‫َِ إ‬
‫‪).‬ﷺ(‪Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger ‬‬
‫‪2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers‬‬
‫ِء‬‫ِﻳﺘ‬ ‫ِﺎم ا ﺼﻼ‬
‫ِﻗ‬ ‫أن ﻻ إ‬
‫ََََْ‬ ‫َ ْ‬
‫‪dutifully and perfectly.‬‬ ‫َ ﻀﺎن "‪.‬‬ ‫ِم ر‬‫ا ﺰِة‪َ،‬واَﺞ‪َ،‬وﺻﻮ‬
‫‪3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) .‬‬

‫‪5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.‬‬

‫ِ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ُ‬ ‫ُ‬‫ِْاْﺮﻗِ‬ ‫ِﻠ و‬ ‫ِ‬
‫َُْ َ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫ْْ‬ ‫ْ َ‬ ‫ُ َََُ َُْ َ‬ ‫َ َ َ ََ َ َ‬
‫َﺔ‪.‬‬
‫ِﻣﻨﻮن{ اﻵﻳ‬‫َﺢ اُﻤﺆ‬‫ِ ‪} :‬ﻗﺪ أﻓﻠ‬
‫ِ‬‫ُﻢ اُﻤﺘﻘﻮن{‪َ.‬وﻗﻮ‬‫ِﻚ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻳﻦَﺻﺪﻗﻮا وأو‬ ‫ِﻚ اِ‬ ‫ِس أو‬ ‫ِﺣ ا ﺄ‬
‫ِء و‬ ‫َوا ا‬
‫َ‬‫َ َ‬ ‫َُ ْ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫َ ََ‬ ‫َ َ‬ ‫ُ ُْ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫ََ‬

‫‪Narrated Abu Huraira:‬‬ ‫ِﺪي‪ ،‬ﻗﺎل‬ ‫َﻌﻘ‬
‫ٍﺮ اﻟ‬
‫ٍﺪ‪ ،‬ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ ِ‬ ‫ُﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒﺪ اِ‬
‫َْ‬ ‫ْ ْ َ َ‬ ‫َْ‬ ‫َُ َ‬ ‫َُ‬
‫ﺎنْ‬ ‫ْ‬‫َ‬ ‫َ‬‫َ‬
‫‪) said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than‬ﷺ(‪The Prophet ‬‬
‫ٍﺢ‪،‬‬‫ِ َﺻﺎ‬
‫ِﻟ‬ ‫ﺎر‪ ،‬ﻦ أ‬ ‫ﻳﻨ‬
‫ِ ٍ‬ ‫د‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺪ‬
‫ِ‬‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫‪،‬‬‫ل‬‫ٍ‬‫ﻼ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُﺳﻠ‬
‫َْ ُ‬
‫"‪sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya (This term "Haya‬‬
‫َْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫‪covers a large number of concepts which are to be taken‬‬ ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬ ‫َﺮة ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـَﻋ‬ ‫َﺮ‬ ‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ﻦأ‬
‫َﻦ َ‬ ‫ٌ‬‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َُُ‬ ‫ًَْ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ َُ ٌَْ َُ‬ ‫َ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َﺔ‪ ،‬وا‬
‫‪together; amongst them are self respect, modesty,‬‬
‫"‪bashfulness, and scruple, etc.) is a part of faith.‬‬ ‫ﺎن "‪.‬‬

harming Muslims with his tongue and
hands

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
ِ ‫ِﻦ أ‬‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬ ‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬،‫َﺔ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ٍ‫ِﻳ‬
‫ِ إ‬ ‫ُمْﻦ أ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ آد‬
ْ َْ ْ َ َ ْ ََ َ َْ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "A Muslim is the one who avoids
‫ٍﺮو ـ ر‬ ‫ِﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬، ِ ‫ِﻦ ا ﺸﻌ‬‫ ﻋ‬،‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬ ‫ِﺳﻤﺎ‬ ‫ و‬،‫ِﺮ‬‫ا ﺴﻔ‬
harming Muslims with his tongue and hands. And a

Some people asked Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬, "Whose Islam
‫ ﻦِأ‬،‫ْﺮدة‬ ‫ِ ﺑ‬‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ْﺮدة‬ ‫ِ ﺑ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬
‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬‫ُﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ْﺮدة‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ ﺑ‬
is the best? i.e. (Who is a very good Muslim)?" He

replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims with his ‫ِم أﻓﻀﻞ‬‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬ِ‫ﻮ ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎ ﻮا ﻳﺎ رﺳﻮل اِ أى‬

َ ‫َﺴﺎﻧ‬

ِ ‫ ﻦ ﻳ‬،‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ا ﻠﻴﺚ‬، ٍ ‫ُﺮوْﻦ ﺧﺎ‬
ِ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻤ‬

A man asked the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ , "What sort of deeds or
‫َﺳﺄل‬،‫ُﺟﻼ‬ ‫ٍﺮو ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻬﻤﺎ ـ أن ر‬‫ِﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬، ِ
‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬ َ ‫ا‬
(what qualities of) Islam are good?" The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬
َ‫َﻌ‬ ُ ََ ْ َ
َ ْ َ
replied, 'To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you ،‫ﺎم‬ ‫ُﻢ اﻟﻄ‬‫ِم ﺧٌ ﻗﺎل "ْﻄ‬
‫ِﻌ‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬
ِ‫اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ أى‬
ََْْ َ َْ ََ ُ َْ
‫ْﻦْﻢ ﻌ‬
‫ﺖَوﻣ‬ ‫ْﻦَﻋ‬
‫َﺮﻓ‬ ‫َمَ َﻣ‬
‫َﺮأ ا ﺴﻼ‬

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "None of you will have faith till he

wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

‫ُﻮ ا ﺰﻧﺎ‬ ‫َﻌﻴ‬ ‫َ ﻧﺎ ﺷ‬‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ﺎن‬ َ
ِ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ ا ﻤ‬

"Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "By Him in Whose Hands
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ‬ ‫َﺮة ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـ أن ر‬ ‫َﺮ‬
‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِج‬ ‫اﻷﻋﺮ‬
my life is, none of you will have faith till he loves me more

than his father and his children." ‫ُﺪ ْﻢَﺣ‬ ‫ُﻦ أﺣ‬ ‫ِﻣ‬‫ُﺆ‬
‫ِﻻﻳ‬ ‫ِﺪه‬

loves me more than his father, his children and all

‫ ﻦ ﺘ‬،‫َﺔ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ آدم‬ ‫و‬

‫َﺣﺐ‬ ‫ُﺪ ْﻢَﺣ أ ﻮن أ‬ ‫ِﻣﻦ أﺣ‬‫ُﺆ‬
‫اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ﻻ ﻳ‬

Narrated Anas: ‫ ﻗﺎل‬، ِ ‫ﺎب ا ﻘ‬ِ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒﺪ ا ﻮﻫ‬، ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻤﺪ ﻦ ا ﻤﺜ‬
ََ َََ َْ َ ََُ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever possesses the following
‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫ ْﻦ أٍﺲ‬،‫َﺔ‬‫ِﻼﺑ‬‫ِ ﻗ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ﻮب‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﻳ‬
three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
َُ ْ َ َ ََََ ٌََ َ َ
‫َ ﻮن‬ ‫ﺎن أن ﻳ‬ َ َ َ‫ْﻦ ُ ﻦِ ﻴ‬ ‫وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﺛﻼثَﻣ‬
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes ِ‫اﻹﻳﻤ‬
ِ‫ِﻪ وﺟﺪ ﺣﻼوة‬
َُُ ْ ْ ُْ َ َُ َ َ َُ َ ُ
‫َء ﻻِ ﺒﻪ إ‬ ‫َوأنِ ﺐ اَﻤﺮ‬،‫َﻤﺎ‬ ْ ‫ُﺳﻮُ أﺣﺐ إ‬ ‫ا َور‬
dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's ‫ِﻻ‬ ‫ِﻪِ ﻤﺎِﺳﻮاﻫ‬ ِ
َ َْ َُْ ََْ َْ ُْ َُ َْ َ َْْ َ
sake. ‫ﺎر‬
ِ‫ِ ا‬ ‫ُه أن ﻘﺬف‬ ‫ِﺮ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻳ َﺮ‬
‫ِ اﻟ ﻔ‬ ‫َه أن ﻌﻮد‬‫َوأن ﻳ َﺮ‬، ِِ
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates
to be thrown into the fire." ."

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Love for the Ansar is a sign of faith
‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫ﺖ أًﺴﺎ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺳ‬، ٍ‫ِﻦَﺟ‬
‫ِﻤﻌ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬ ‫ﺒ‬
and hatred for the Ansar is a sign of hypocrisy."

person heading a group of six persons), on the night of Al- َ َ ََْ ََ َ َ َ َُ ً ْ ََََ
'Aqaba pledge: Allah's Apostle said while a group of his ‫ِﺔ ـ أن‬ ‫َﻌﻘﺒ‬‫ِءْﻠﺔ اﻟ‬ ‫ُﺪ ا ﻘﺒﺎ‬‫َﻮ أﺣ‬‫َوﻫ‬،‫َﺪرا‬ ‫ِﻬﺪ ﺑ‬‫اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـَو ن ﺷ‬
َ‫ْﺻ‬ َْ ٌ ََ َ َ ََ
‫َﺔِﻣﻦ أ‬ ‫َﺼﺎﺑ‬ ‫ْﻮُِﻋ‬‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎلَوﺣ‬
companions were around him, "Swear allegiance to me
for:

1. Not to join anything in worship along with Allah. ‫ وﻻ ﺗ‬،‫َوﻻ ِ ﻗﻮا‬،‫ًﺎ‬
‫َوﻻ‬،‫ْﺰﻧﻮا‬ ‫ِﺎِ ﺷ ﺌ‬‫ِ َ أن ﻻ ِ ﻮا ﺑ‬ ‫ِﻌﻮ‬‫ﺑﺎﻳ‬
2. Not to steal.
ُ َْ َ ُْ ََ َْ َ ْ َُْ َ َُ َ َ ُ ْ َ
3. Not to commit illegal sexual intercourse. ‫ِﺪﻳ ْﻢ‬‫َ أﻳ‬ ‫ﺎن ﻔُ وﻧﻪ ﺑ‬ ُ
‫َوﻻ ﺗﺄﺗﻮا ﺑ‬،‫ْوﻻد ْﻢ‬
ٍ‫ِﺒﻬﺘ‬ ‫ُﻠﻮا أ‬‫ﻘﺘ‬
َ ْ َ
َ ُْ َ َ َ ُ ْ َ ‫ُﺼﻮا‬ ََْ ُ ُ َ
َ‫ُه‬
‫ُﺮ‬‫ْﻦَو ِﻣﻨ ْﻢ ﻓﺄﺟ‬ ‫َوﻻ ﻌ‬،‫ِﻠ ْﻢ‬ ‫ْرﺟ‬ ‫َوأ‬
4. Not to kill your children.
‫ ﻤ‬،‫وف‬ٍ‫ِ ﻣﻌﺮ‬
5. Not to accuse an innocent person (to spread such an
ٌََ‫َﻮَﻛﻔ‬ َْ َ ُ َْ َََْ ََ ََ
accusation among people). ،ُ‫ﺎرة‬ ‫َﺎُﻬ‬‫ِ ا ﻴ‬ ‫ِﺐ‬‫ًﺎ ﻌﻮﻗ‬‫ِﻚ ﺷ ﺌ‬ ‫ْﻦ أﺻﺎبِﻣﻦ ذ‬ ‫َوﻣ‬، ِ‫ا‬
ََََْ ََ َ َ َ ُْ َََْ ََ ََ
‫ُﻬﻮ‬، ُ‫ُه ا‬‫ًﺎ ﻢَﺳ‬ ‫ْﻦ أﺻﺎبِﻣﻦ ذ‬
6. Not to be disobedient (when ordered) to do good
deed." ‫ﺎء ﻔﺎ‬ ‫ِإ اِِإن ﺷ‬ ‫ِﻚ ﺷ ﺌ‬ ‫َوﻣ‬
َََ َََْ ُ َ َََُْ ْ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ added: "Whoever among you fulfills his
.‫ِﻚ‬‫ُﺎهَ ذ‬ ‫َ ﺎ ﻌﻨ‬ ‫ﺎءَ ﺒ‬
‫ ﺒ‬." ‫َﻪ‬ ‫ِن ﺷ‬‫ و‬،‫ﻨﻪ‬
pledge will be rewarded by Allah. And whoever indulges
in any one of them (except the ascription of partners to
Allah) and gets the punishment in this world, that
punishment will be an expiation for that sin. And if one
indulges in any of them, and Allah conceals his sin, it is up
to Him to forgive or punish him (in the Hereafter)." 'Ubada

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "A time will soon come when

ٍ‫ِﻌ‬‫ِ َﺳ‬‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِﻪ‬‫ِﻴ‬‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫َﻌﺔ‬
‫ِ َﺻﻌﺼ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬ ‫ِﺪ ا ﺮِﻦ ﺑ‬‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫اِ ﺑ‬
the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will َ

take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall ‫ﻮﺷﻚ أن‬ِ‫ أﻧﻪ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎل رﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ﻳ‬،‫ِري‬ ‫اُﺪ‬

(valleys) so as to flee with his religion from afflictions."

Whenever Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ ordered the Muslims to
‫ْﻢ‬‫َﺮﻫ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬
‫ِإذا أ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎﻟﺖ ن ر‬،‫ِﺸﺔ‬ ‫ﻦ‬

do something, he used to order them deeds which were

easy for them to do, (according to their strength and ‫ُﺳﻮل‬ ‫َﻬﻴِﺘﻚ ﻳﺎ ر‬
‫ِﻧﺎْﺴﻨﺎ ﻛ‬‫ِﻄﻴﻘﻮن ﻗﺎ ﻮا إ‬‫ِﻤﺎ ﻳ‬
‫ﺎل ﺑ‬
ِ‫أ ﺮﻫﻢِﻣﻦ اﻷ ﻤ‬
ََ
ُ‫َﻀ‬ َََْ َ ََْ َ ََ َ َ ََ َْ َ
‫ ﻴ‬.‫َﻣﺎ ﺗﺄﺧﺮ‬
‫َﻐ‬ ‫ْﻦ ذﻧ‬ ‫َﺮ ﻚَﻣﺎ ﻘﺪمِﻣ‬ ‫ِإن اَ ﻗﺪ ﻔ‬
endurance). They said, "O Allah's Messenger (‫!)ﷺ‬ We are
not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." ‫ﺐ‬ ‫ِﺒﻚ و‬ ، ِ‫ا‬

So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on ‫َﻤ ْﻢ‬ ‫ِن أ ﻘﺎ ْﻢَوأﻋﻠ‬
‫ِﻪ ﻢ ﻘﻮل " إ‬ ‫َِوﺟ‬
‫ِﻬ‬ ‫ﺐ‬ ‫َﺮف اﻟﻐ‬ ‫َﺣ ﻌ‬
his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know

(14) Chapter: Whoever hates to revert to Kufr ‫ُه أن‬

Narrated Anas: ‫ ْﻦ أٍﺲ‬،‫َﺎدة‬ ‫ ﻦ ﺘ‬،‫َﺔ‬‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫ٍب‬‫ُﻦَﺣﺮ‬ْ‫ﺎن‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُﺳﻠﻴﻤ‬

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever possesses the following
‫ْﻦ‬‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﺛﻼثَﻣ‬ ‫ـ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـَﻋ‬
three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith:
َ َ َُ َُ ََْ َ ‫َة‬ َََ
‫ِﻪِ ﻤﺎ‬ْ‫ُﺳﻮُ أﺣﺐ إ‬ ‫ﺎنَﻣﻦ ن ا َور‬ َ َ َ‫ُ ﻦِ ﻴ‬
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer ِ ِ‫اﻹﻳﻤ‬
ِ ‫ِﻪ وﺟﺪ ﺣﻼو‬
َ َْ َ َْْ َُُ ً ْ َ َْ ُ
‫ُه أنُﻌﻮد‬ ‫َﻣﻦ ﻳ َﺮ‬
‫َو‬، ِِ ‫َﺣﺐ ﺒﺪا ﻻِ ﺒﻪ‬ ‫َﻣﻦ أ‬‫َو‬،‫َﻤﺎ‬‫َﻮاﻫ‬
than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's ِ ‫ِإﻻ‬ ‫ِﺳ‬

َ َُُْ ََْ َُ ُ َ ََ
َْْ ْْ ُْ
sake. ." ‫ﺎر‬ َ
ِ ‫ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻳ ﺮه أن ﻳﻠ ِ ا‬، ‫ِإذ أ ﻘﺬه ا‬ ‫َ ﻌﺪ‬ ‫ِﺮ‬‫اﻟ ﻔ‬
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah

thrown in fire."

(15) Chapter: The grades in superiority of the ‫ﺎل‬

believers will be according to their good
deeds

ِ‫ا ﻤ‬ ‫ِﻦ‬ ‫ ْﻦ ﻤ‬،‫ِﻚ‬
‫ِﺮو ﺑ‬ ‫ِ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪﺛ‬،‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ إ‬
‫ِﺳﻤﺎ‬

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "When the people of Paradise will
‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ‬ ‫ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ ـَﻋ‬،‫ِري‬ ‫ﻴﺪ اُﺪ‬ ٍ‫ِﻌ‬ ‫ِ ﺳ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِﻴ‬ ‫ﻦأ‬
enter Paradise and the people of Hell will go to Hell, Allah
َ ‫ُﻞ ا ﺎر ا‬ َْ َْ ْ ُ َُ ُْ َ َ
،‫ﺎر‬ ‫ﻫ‬ ‫أ‬‫و‬َ،‫ِﺔ اَﻨﺔ‬ ‫ﻨ‬َ‫ْﻫﻞ ا‬ ‫َﺪﺧﻞ أ‬ ‫اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﻳ‬
will order those who have had faith equal to the weight of ِ
ََْ ََُ ْ ْ َ ََْ َََْ ُُ َُ
‫ْﺮد‬ ‫ُﺟﻮاَﻣﻦ ن‬ ‫ﻢ ﻘﻮل اَُﻌﺎ أﺧ‬
a grain of mustard seed to be taken out from Hell. So they
will be taken out but (by then) they will be blackened
‫ٍل‬ ‫ٍﺔِﻣﻦ ﺧ‬ ‫ِﻪِﻣﺜﻘﺎل ﺣﺒ‬ ‫ِﺒ‬‫ِ ﻗﻠ‬ ‫ِﺮ‬
ََ ْ َ َ َ ََْ َ ْ ََ َْ َ َْ َ ْ
(charred). Then they will be put in the river of Haya' (rain) ‫ِو‬‫ِﺮ اَﻴﺎ ـ أ‬‫ِ ﻬ‬ ‫ْﻮن‬‫ُﻠﻘ‬ ‫ِﺪ اﺳﻮدوا ﻴ‬ ‫ُﺟﻮنِﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﻗ‬ ‫ُﺨﺮ‬ ‫ ﻴ‬.‫ﺎن‬
ٍ‫ِإﻳﻤ‬ ‫ِﻣﻦ‬
or Hayat (life) (the Narrator is in doubt as to which is the
ْ َ ‫ُﺔ‬ ْ ُُ ََْ ََُ َُْ َ ٌَ َ َ َْ
right term), and they will revive like a grain that grows near ،‫ِﻞ‬ ‫ﺐ ا ﺴﻴ‬ِ‫ﻧ‬
ِ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺟ‬ ِ ‫ﺒ‬ ِ‫ا‬ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﺗ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻛ‬ ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ِ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ، ‫ة‬
ِ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ا‬

َ َ ٌْ َ
َ َ ََََُُُ ً ْ ْ َْ َ َْ ََ
" ‫ٌﺮو‬ ‫َﺎ ْﻤ‬
‫ ﻗﺎلُوﻫﻴﺐ ﺣﺪ ﻨ‬." ‫َﺔ‬ ‫َﺮ أَﻬﺎ ﺮج ﺻﻔﺮاء ﻠﺘ‬
the bank of a flood channel. Don't you see that it comes
‫ِﻮ‬ ‫أﻢ ﺗ‬
out yellow and twisted"
ْ َ َ ََ َ َ ْ
." ٍ ‫ْﻦ ﺧ‬ ‫ٍلِﻣ‬‫ْﺮد‬

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "While I was sleeping I saw

‫ أﻧﻪ ﺳ‬،‫ٍﻞ‬ ‫ﺎﻣﺔ ﺑ‬ ‫ِ أ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ﺎب‬ ٍ‫ِﻦِﺷﻬ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﺑ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬،‫ٍﺢ‬‫ِﻟ‬
‫ﺻﺎ‬
(in a dream) some people wearing shirts of which some

were reaching up to the breasts only while others were ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ﺑ‬
‫َ ﻨﺎ‬ ‫ ﻘﻮل ﻗﺎل ر‬،‫ِري‬ ‫ﻴﺪ اُﺪ‬
ٍ‫ِﻌ‬ ‫ﺳ‬

‫َﻬﺎَﻣﺎ ﺒﻠﻎ‬ ‫ْﻢ ﻤﺺِﻣﻨ‬ ‫َوﻋﻠﻴ‬، َ‫ُﺿﻮن‬
even shorter than that. Umar bin Al-Khattab was shown
wearing a shirt that he was dragging." The people asked,
‫ِﻬ‬ ‫ﺎس ﻌﺮ‬ ‫ِﻢ رأﻳﺖ ا‬ ‫أﻧﺎ ﻧﺎﺋ‬
ََْ َ ُْ َُ َ‫َض‬ َََََُ َْ
"How did you interpret it? (What is its interpretation) O ‫ِﻪ‬‫َﻋﻠﻴ‬
‫ﺎب و‬ ُْ
ِ‫ﻤﺮ ﻦ ا ﻄ‬
َ ‫ُﻋ‬
‫ِﺮ‬ ‫َو‬،‫ِﻚ‬‫ِﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﻣﺎ دون ذ‬ ‫ و‬،‫اِﺪي‬
Allah's Messenger (‫"?)ﷺ‬ He (the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ ) replied, "It

is the Religion." ." ‫ﻳﻦ‬ ‫َﺎَرﺳﻮل اِ ﻗ‬ ‫ِﻚ ﻳ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎ ﻮا ﻤﺎ أوﻟﺖ ذ‬." ‫ُه‬

(16) Chapter: Al-Haya (self-respect, modesty ‫ﺎن‬

who was admonishing his brother regarding Haya'. On

that Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Leave him as Haya' is a ‫َﺎء‬
،ِ ‫ِ اَﻴ‬ ‫ﺎرَوﻫﻮ ﻳ‬
‫ِﻌﻆ أﺧﺎه‬ ِ‫ٍﻞِﻣﻦ اﻷﻧﺼ‬ ‫ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢَ ﺮَ َرﺟ‬
ََ ْ َُ َْ ُ َََ َ
‫َﻦ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " دﻋﻪ ﻓﺈ‬

ًَ َُ ََْ َ َ ْ َ ‫َﻞ ا‬ َُْ َُ ُ
‫ِإﻻ اَُوأن ﻤﺪا‬ َ ‫ُﺪوا أن ﻻ‬ ‫ﺎسَﺣ َﺸﻬ‬ ‫ْﺮت أن أﻗﺎﺗ‬
Muhammad is Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬, and offer the
prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they
‫ِإ‬ ِ ‫أ‬
ِ
ََ ُ ََََ َ ُ َْ َ َ ُُ
perform that, then they save their lives and property from ‫ِﻚ‬ ‫ِﺈذا َﻌﻠﻮا ذ‬
‫ ﻓ‬،‫ُﺆﺗﻮا ا ﺰ ة‬ ُ‫ُﻘ‬
‫ و‬،‫ﻴﻤﻮا ا ﺼﻼة‬ ِ‫َو‬، ِ‫رﺳﻮل ا‬
َ
me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning
َ َ َ َْْ
َ‫ْﻢ‬‫ُﻬ‬ُ
‫َﺴﺎ‬ ‫َو‬،‫ِم‬
‫ِﺣ‬ ‫ْﺳﻼ‬‫اﻹ‬ َ ْ َُ َُ ََ ََُ
(accounts) will be done by Allah." ِ ‫ﻋﺼﻤﻮاِﻣ ِدﻣﺎءﻫﻢ وأ ﻮا ﻬﻢِإﻻِ ﻖ‬

(18) Chapter: Whoever says that faith is action ‫َﻤﻞ‬

Narrated Abu Huraira: ُ‫ِﻫ‬
‫ﻴﻢ‬ ْ
‫َﺮا‬ ‫ ﻗﺎﻻَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬،‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬
‫ِإﺑ‬ ‫ِإﺳﻤﺎ‬ ‫ُ ﻮ ْﻦ‬ ‫ و‬،‫ُﻮ ﺲ‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻳ‬ ‫ُﺪ‬َ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أ‬
َْ َ َُ ْ ْ َْ َ َُ َْ َََ َْ ْ
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ was asked, "What is the best
ِ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ﺐ‬ ِ‫ِﻦ ا ﻤﺴﻴ‬ ‫ﻴﺪ ﺑ‬
ِ‫ِﻌ‬‫ ﻦ ﺳ‬،‫ﺎب‬ ٍ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ا ﻦِﺷﻬ‬،‫ٍﺪ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺳﻌ‬
deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle
َُ ْ ََ ْ ََُ َ َ ََ ْ ُ
(Muhammad). The questioner then asked, "What is the ‫ِﻞ أﻓﻀﻞ‬ ‫َﻌﻤ‬
‫ِﻞ أى اﻟ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﺳﺌ‬ ‫ أن ر‬،‫َﺮة‬ ‫َﺮ‬
‫ﻫ‬
َُ ْ َ ََ َُ ٌَ ََ َ
َ ‫ﺎد‬ ‫ِ ﻴﻞ ﻢَﻣﺎذا ﻗﺎل " ا‬." ِ ‫ُﺳﻮ‬‫َر‬
‫ِﺎَِو‬
next (in goodness)? He replied, "To participate in Jihad
(religious fighting) in Allah's Cause." The questioner again
‫ﻴﻞ‬
ِ ِ‫ﺳ‬ ِ ‫ﻬ‬ ِ ِ ‫ﻳﻤﺎن ﺑ‬ ‫ﻘﺎل " إ‬
ِ
asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He replied, "To ٌُ
." ‫ور‬ َ‫َﺎل "َﺣﺞ‬
ْ ََََُ
‫ِ ﻴﻞ ﻢ ﻣﺎذا ﻗ‬." ِ‫ا‬
perform Hajj (Pilgrim age to Mecca) 'Mubrur, (which is
accepted by Allah and is performed with the intention of
seeking Allah's pleasure only and not to show off and
without committing a sin and in accordance with the
traditions of the Prophet)."

(19) Chapter: If one does not embrace Islam ‫ِﺔَو‬
‫ِﻘﻴﻘ‬‫ُمَ ا‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬

truly but does so by compulsion or for fear

of being killed (then that man is not a
believer)

ِ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ِﺮي‬ ‫ِﻦ ا ﺰﻫ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬،‫َﻌﻴﺐ‬ ‫َ ﻧﺎ ﺷ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ﺎن‬ َ

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ distributed (Zakat) amongst (a
‫ُﺳﻮل‬ ‫ ر اﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ أن ر‬،‫ٍﺪ‬ ‫ ْﻦَﺳﻌ‬،‫ﺎص‬ ٍ‫َِوﻗ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺳﻌ‬
‫ِﺪ ﺑ‬ ِ
group of) people while I was sitting there but Allah's
ُُ ََ ٌٌَ ًَْ ْ ْ َ
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ left a man whom I thought the best of the ‫َكَرﺳﻮل‬ َ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫ِﺲ‬ ‫َﺳﻌﺪ ﺟﺎ‬ ‫اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ أَﻄﻰَرﻫﻄﺎ و‬
َ ََُْ ُ ََْ َ‫ْﻋ‬ ََ ًُ َ
‫ُﺳﻮل‬ ‫ُﻬﻢ‬ ُ ‫ُﺟﻼ ﻫﻮ أ‬
lot. I asked, "O Allah's Messenger (‫!)ﷺ‬ Why have you left
that person? By Allah I regard him as a faithful believer."
‫ِإ ﻘﻠﺖ ﻳﺎ ر‬ ‫ﺠﺒ‬ ‫اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ر‬
َ ََ ًَْ َ َ َُْ ََ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ commented: "Or merely a Muslim." I ." ‫ًﻤﺎ‬‫ِﻠ‬‫ْوُْﺴ‬ ‫ ﻘﺎل " أ‬.‫ِﻣﻨﺎ‬ ‫ُاهُ ﺆ‬‫َر‬‫ِ ﻷ‬ ‫َﻮاِ إ‬ ‫ٍن ﻓ‬‫اَِﻣﺎ ﻚ ﻦ ﻓﻼ‬
remained quiet for a while, but could not help repeating
ُْ ُ َ ََ َُُْ َْ ْ َ َ ََ ًُ َ ََ َ
my question because of what I knew about him. And then ‫ﺖَﻣﺎ‬ ‫ِ ﻘﻠ‬ ‫َﻤﻘﺎﻟ‬ِ‫ُﻢِﻣﻨﻪُﻌﺪت‬ ‫ِ َﻣﺎ أﻋﻠ‬ ‫ ﻢ ﻏﻠﺒ‬،‫ِﻠﻴﻼ‬ ‫ﻓﺴﻜﺖ ﻗ‬
َ َ َ ُ ًُْْ َ ََ ًَْ ُ‫ُاه‬ََ َ َُْ ََ َ
ِ‫َﻮا‬
asked Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬, "Why have you left so and
ِ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻏ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ . " ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻤ‬‫ﻠ‬ِ‫ﺴ‬ ‫و‬‫أ‬ " ‫ﺎل‬‫ﻘ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻨ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﺆ‬ ‫ر‬‫ﻷ‬ ‫ِإ‬ ‫ٍن ﻓ‬‫ﻚ ﻦ ﻓﻼ‬
so? By Allah! He is a faithful believer." The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬
ُ َََ ََ َُُْ َْ ْ َ
again said, "Or merely a Muslim." And I could not help ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬ ‫َِو د ر‬ ‫َﻤﻘﺎﻟ‬ِ‫ُﻢِﻣﻨﻪُﻌﺪت‬ ‫َﻣﺎ أﻋﻠ‬
ََُْ َْ َ َُ ْ ََ ْ ُ ُ ْ َ َُ
‫َﺔ‬ ‫ُه أﺣﺐ‬ ‫ُﺟﻞَوﻏ‬ ،‫َﺎَﺳﻌﺪ‬
repeating my question because of what I knew about him.
Then the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "O Sa'd! I give to a person ‫ ﺧﺸﻴ‬،‫ِإ ِﻣﻨﻪ‬ ‫ِﻄﻲ ا ﺮ‬ ‫ِإ ﻷﻋ‬ ‫ﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﻳ‬
َُ ٌَْ َ ُُ ُ‫ُﻪ ا‬ َُْ َ
while another is dearer to me, for fear that he might be
ِ ‫ْﻦ أ‬ ‫ٌﺮَوا‬ ‫َﻤ‬ ‫َﻣﻌ‬‫ِﻟﺢ و‬ ‫ُﻮُﺲَوﺻﺎ‬ ‫َواه ﻳ‬‫َر‬
‫َو‬." ‫ﺎر‬
ِ ‫ا‬ ِ ‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫أ‬
thrown on his face in the Fire by Allah."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: ‫ ﻦِأ‬،‫ﻴﺐ‬ ٍ‫ِﺒ‬
‫ِ ﺣ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬
‫ِﺰ ﺪ ﺑ‬‫ ﻦ ﻳ‬،‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ا ﻠﻴﺚ‬،‫َﺔ‬
‫َﺒ‬
‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺘ‬
َ ََ َ ً ََ ْ َْ ْ َ َْ ْ
A person asked Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ . "What (sort of)
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ‬ ‫َﺳﺄل ر‬،‫ُﺟﻼ‬ ‫ أن ر‬،‫ٍﺮو‬
‫ِﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬ ‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬، َِ ‫ا‬
deeds in or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" He ُ َْ ََ ُْ ُ َ َْ َ َْ َ
replied, "To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you ‫َﺮأ‬‫َو ﻘ‬،‫ﺎم‬ ‫ِم ﺧٌ ﻗﺎل " ﻄ‬
‫ِﻌﻢ اﻟﻄﻌ‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬ِ ‫اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ أى‬
ْْ ََ َ َْ ََ
‫ْﻦْﻢ ﻌ‬‫ﺖَوﻣ‬ ‫ْﻦَﻋ‬
‫َﺮﻓ‬ ‫َمَ َﻣ‬
know and those whom you don't know."
." ‫ِﺮف‬ ‫ا ﺴﻼ‬

(21) Chapter: To be ungrateful to one's ‫ٍﺮ‬ ‫ِﺸَِو ﻔ‬
‫ٍﺮ دون ﻔ‬ ‫ان اﻟﻌ‬
ِ‫( ﺑﺎب ﻔﺮ‬21)
husband. And disbelief is of (different
grades) lesser (or greater) degrees.

.‫َﻢ‬ ‫ِﻦ اِ َﺻ اَُﻋﻠﻴ‬
‫ِﻪَو‬ ‫ِريَﻋ‬

‫ِﻪ ﻦ أ‬
‫ِﻴ‬
ََ َْ ْْ َ َْ َََ ْ ‫ُﺪ ا‬ ْ ََ ََ
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: ‫ ْﻦ‬،‫َﻢ‬ ‫ ْﻦَزِﺪ ﺑ‬،‫ٍﻚ‬
‫ِﻦ أﺳﻠ‬ ِ‫ ﻦ ﻣﺎ‬،‫َﻤﺔ‬ ‫ُﻦَْﺴﻠ‬ ِ ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒ‬
َ ََ َ َْ َ َ َْ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that
‫ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ٍ‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﺑ‬
‫ ﻋ‬،‫ﺎر‬ٍ‫ِﻦ ﺴ‬ ‫ِء ﺑ‬‫َﻄﺎ‬
the majority of its dwellers were women who were
َ َُ ْ َُ َْ ََ ََََْ ُ ُ
ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" ‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬." ‫ْﺮن‬ ‫َ ﻔ‬ ‫ِﺈذا أُ أﻫ‬
‫ِﻠﻬﺎ اﻟ ﺴﺎء ﻳ‬ ‫ِر ﺖ ا ﺎر ﻓ‬ ‫وﺳﻠﻢ " أ‬
َ َْ َ َََُْ ‫َﻌ‬ ْ َُ ْ َ َ َ َُْ
‫ْﻮ‬،‫َﺴﺎن‬ ْ ‫َ ﻔ‬
‫ْﺮن اﻟ‬ ‫ْﺮن ﺑ‬ ‫َ ﻔ‬
(or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are
ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the ‫اﻹﺣ‬
ِ ‫ و ﻔﺮن‬، ‫ِﺸ‬ ‫ِﺎِ ﻗﺎل " ﻳ‬ ‫أﻳ‬
َُْ ََ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ َ َ َُ ْ َ ُ ْ َ
ْ َْ ْ َ
favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ًﺎ ﻗﺎﻟﺖَﻣﺎَرأﻳ‬‫ﺖِإ ِإﺣﺪاﻫﻦ ا ﻫﺮ ﻢ رأتِﻣﻨﻚ ﺷ ﺌ‬ ‫َﺴﻨ‬ ‫أﺣ‬
you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them
َْ ََْ
and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she ." ‫ِﻣﻨﻚ ﺧً ا ﻂ‬
will say, 'I have never received any good from you."
ْْ َ ْ
(22) Chapter: Sins are from ignorance and a ‫ِﺔ‬
‫ِﻠﻴ‬‫ْﻦ أِﺮ اَﺎ‬
‫ِﻫ‬ ‫َﻌﺎ‬
‫ِ ِﻣ‬ ‫( ﺑﺎب اَﻤ‬22)
sinner is not a disbeliever unless he
worships others along with Allah 'Azza wa
Jall

‫ِﻻ ﺑ‬ ‫ِ ِﺎﺑ‬ ‫ُﻬﺎ ﺑ‬
‫ِﺎرﺗ‬ ِ‫ُﺮ ﺻ‬
‫ﺎﺣﺒ‬ ‫َوﻻ ﻳ‬

‫ِﻔ‬‫ِن اَ ﻻ ﻐ‬ ‫ }إ‬: ‫ِل اَِﻌﺎ‬‫َوﻗﻮ‬

Narrated Al-Ma'rur: ،‫ِب‬ ‫ٍﻞ اﻷﺣﺪ‬ ‫اﺻ‬ َْ َ
ِ‫ ﻦ و‬،‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒﺔ‬،‫ٍب‬ ‫ُﻦَﺣﺮ‬ ْ‫َﻤﺎن‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُﺳﻠﻴ‬

‫ِﻘﻴﺖ أﺑ‬‫ ﻗﺎل ﻟ‬،‫ور‬ َ
ِ‫ِﻦ ا ﻤﻌﺮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬
and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked ُُ ُ َ َُْ ً َ ََ ََْ َُ َ َْ ٌَ
about the reason for it. He replied, "I abused a person by ،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ َﻌْ ﺗﻪ ﺑ‬،‫ُﺟﻼ‬
‫ِﺄﻣ‬ ‫َﺒﺖ ر‬ ‫ِ َﺳﺎ‬ ‫ ﻘﺎل إ‬،‫ِﻚ‬ ‫ُﻪ ﻦ ذ‬ ‫ ﻓﺴﺄ‬،‫ُﺣﻠﺔ‬
َ ُُ َ َََ َ ََ َ
‫َﻋْ ﺗﻪ ﺑ‬ ‫َﺎ أﺑﺎ ذر أ‬
‫َ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ﻳ‬
calling his mother with bad names." The Prophet said to
me, 'O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse him by calling his mother ‫ِإﻧﻚ‬ ‫ِﻪ‬
‫ِﺄﻣ‬ ِ ‫ﻘﺎل‬
َْ َُ ُ َ َُُ ْ ُُْ ٌ َ َ ٌ ْ
with bad names You still have some characteristics of ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ُﻬﻢ ا‬ ‫َﻌﻠ‬‫َﺟ‬،‫َﻮﻟ ْﻢ‬ ‫َﻮاﻧ ﻢ ﺧ‬ ‫ِﺧ‬‫ إ‬،‫ِﻠﻴﺔ‬‫اُﺮؤِ ﻴﻚ ﺟﺎ‬
‫ِﻫ‬
ُْ ْ ُ ْ ْ َُُ َََ َ َ
َ،‫ُﻞ‬ َ ََْ َُ ْ
ignorance. Your slaves are your brothers and Allah has
ُْْ
put them under your command. So whoever has a brother ‫ْﺴﻪ‬ ِ‫ﻠ‬ ُ‫و‬ ‫َﺄ‬
‫ِﻌﻤﻪِ ﻤﺎ ﻳ‬ ‫ُﻄ‬‫ِه ﻓﻠﻴ‬‫ِﺪ‬ ‫ﻮه ﺖ ﻳ‬ ‫ْﻦ ن أﺧ‬ ‫ ﻤ‬،‫ِﺪﻳ ْﻢ‬ ‫أﻳ‬
ُ َ َُُ ََْْْ َْ َُُُ َ َ ْ
." ‫ْﻢ‬‫ُﻮﻫ‬ ‫ْﻢ ﻓﺄ‬‫ُﻤﻮﻫ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫ُﻬﻢ‬ُ ‫ْﻢَﻣﺎ ﻐ‬ ‫َوﻻ ﺗ ﻠﻔﻮﻫ‬،‫ُﺲ‬ ‫َﻠ‬
under his command should feed him of what he eats and
‫ِ ﻴﻨ‬ ‫ِﺈن ﻔﺘ‬ ‫ِﻠﺒ‬ ‫ِ ﻤﺎ ﻳ‬
dress him of what he wears. Do not ask them (slaves) to
do things beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so,
then help them.' "

‫َﻠﻮا‬
‫ِﻨَ ا ﺘﺘ‬‫َﻦ اُﻤﺆ‬
‫ِﻣ‬ ‫ﺎنِﻣ‬ َ
ِ‫ِﻔﺘ‬‫ِن ﻃﺎﺋ‬
‫ }و‬:‫ﺑﺎب‬

"And if two parties (or groups) from among ‫َﻠﻮا‬
‫ِﻨَ ا ﺘﺘ‬‫َﻦ اُﻤﺆ‬
‫ِﻣ‬ ‫ﺎنِﻣ‬ َ
ِ‫ِﻔﺘ‬
‫ِن ﻃﺎﺋ‬ ‫ }و‬:‫ﺑﺎب‬
the believers fall to fighting, then make َ‫ْﺆﻣﻨ‬
ُُْ َُ ََ ََُْ ُ‫ْﺻ‬َ َ
ِِ‫ِﻠﺤﻮا ﺑ ﻨﻬﻤﺎ{ ﻓﺴﻤﺎﻫﻢ ا ﻤ‬ ‫ﻓﺄ‬
peace between them both…" Allah has
called them "believers"
ََ ْ ََُ َ ََ ْ َْ ْ ْ ََ َ
Narrated Al-Ahnaf bin Qais: ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬،‫ٍﺪ‬ ‫ُﻦَز‬ْ‫ﺎد‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬،‫ِك‬ ‫ُﻦ اُﻤﺒﺎر‬ ‫ُﺪ ا ﺮِﻦ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒ‬

While I was going to help this man ('Ali Ibn Abi Talib), Abu
‫ﺖ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ذﻫﺒ‬،‫ِﻦ ﻗٍﺲ‬ ‫ِﻒ ﺑ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﻷﺣﻨ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬،‫ِﻦ‬ ‫ِﻦ اَﺴ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬،‫ُ ﻮ ﺲ‬ ‫ و‬،‫أﻳﻮب‬
Bakra met me and asked, "Where are you going?" I َ

ََْ ََْ ُ ََ َ ََ َ َُ َْ
replied, "I am going to help that person." He said, "Go ُ ُ ‫ِﺮُﺪ ﻗﻠﺖ أﻧ‬ ‫َ َﺮة ﻘﺎل أ ﻦ ﺗ‬ ‫ِ أﺑﻮ ﺑ‬ ‫ ﻓﻠ‬،‫ُﺟﻞ‬
‫ِﻘﻴ‬ ‫َ ﻫﺬا ا ﺮ‬ ‫ﻷﻧ‬
َ ََُْ َْْ َ ََ َ َ
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ار‬.‫ُﺟﻞ‬
back for I have heard Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ saying,
'When two Muslims fight (meet) each other with their
‫ِﻤﻌﺖ ر‬ ‫ِ ﺳ‬ ‫ِﺟﻊ ﻓﺈ‬ ‫ﻫﺬا ا ﺮ‬
ُْ ْ َُ َْ ْ َْ َُْ ْ ََْ ُُ َ
swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will
ِ‫ُﻮل‬ ‫ِﻞَواَﻤﻘﺘ‬‫َﻤﺎ ﻓﺎﻟﻘﺎﺗ‬‫َﺴﻴﻔﻴ‬
‫ِﻬ‬ ِ ‫ﺎن‬
ِ‫ِﻠﻤ‬ ‫َ ا ﻤﺴ‬ ‫ِإذا ا‬" ‫وﺳﻠﻢ ﻘﻮل‬
go to the Hell-fire.' I said, 'O Allah's Messenger (‫!)ﷺ‬ It is
ُ َ َُ َُْْ ََ ََُ َْ َ َ ََُْ َ
ُ
all right for the murderer but what about the murdered ‫ِﻧﻪ‬
‫ﻮل ﻗﺎل " إ‬
ِ‫ِﻞ ﻤﺎ ﺑﺎل ا ﻤﻘﺘ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻘﺎﺗ‬ ‫ ﻘﻠﺖ ﻳﺎ ر‬." ‫ﺎر‬ ِ‫ا‬
َْ ََ ََ
‫ِﺮًﺼﺎَ ﺘ‬ ‫نَﺣ‬
one?' Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "He surely had the
." ‫ِﻪ‬
‫ِﺒ‬
‫ﺎﺣ‬
ِ‫ِﻞ ﺻ‬
intention to kill his companion."

(23) Chapter: Dhulm (wrong) of one kind can ‫ٍﻢ‬
‫( ﺑﺎب ﻇﻠﻢ دون ﻇﻠ‬23)
be greater or lesser than that of another
َ َ ْ ََ ََ ُْ َُ َ َ َ َ ْ ََ َ
Narrated 'Abdullah: ‫ ﻗﺎل‬، ٌِِ ‫ ﻗﺎلَوﺣﺪﺛ‬.‫ ح‬،‫َﺔ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫ِِﺪ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬
‫ُﻮ ا ﻮ‬
ََ ْ ََ َ َ َْ َ ََْ ُ ٌََ َُ َ
When the following Verse was revealed: "It is those who
،‫َﻤﺔ‬‫ ْﻦَﻋﻠﻘ‬،‫ﻴﻢ‬ ‫ِﻫ‬‫ْﺮا‬ ‫ ْﻦ‬،‫َﻤﺎن‬
‫ِإﺑ‬ ‫ ْﻦُﺳﻠﻴ‬،‫َﺔ‬‫ ْﻦ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻤﺪ‬
believe and confuse not their belief with wrong
ََ ُْ َ ََ َ َ ََ َ ْ َ َ
(worshipping others besides Allah.)" (6:83), the ‫ْﻢ‬‫ﻳﻤﺎُﻬ‬‫ِﺴﻮا إ‬
ِ ‫ُﻮاَوْﻢ ﻳ‬
‫َﻠ‬ ‫ﺖ }اِ ﻳﻦ آﻣﻨ‬ َ
ِ‫ ﻗﺎل ﻤﺎ ﻧﺰﻟ‬، ِ‫ِﺪ ا‬ ‫ْﻦ ﺒ‬
ََََْ ََُُْ ََ َ ُْ
‫ْﻢ‬ ‫ﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ أ ﻨﺎْﻢ ﻈ‬
companions of Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ asked, "Who is
amongst us who had not done injustice (wrong)?" Allah ‫ِﻠ‬ ِ‫ٍﻢ{ ﻗﺎل أﺻﺤﺎب رﺳ‬ ‫ِﻈﻠ‬‫ﺑ‬
ٌ‫ٌﻢَﻋﻈ‬ ُْ ََ ْ } ُ‫َل ا‬ َ
َْ
revealed: "No doubt, joining others in worship with Allah is .{‫ﻴﻢ‬ ِ ‫ِإن ا ك ﻟﻈﻠ‬ ‫َﺰ‬‫ﻓﺄﻧ‬
a great injustice (wrong) indeed." (31.13)

(24) Chapter: The signs of a hypocrite ‫ِﻖ‬
ِ ‫( ﺑﺎبَﻋﻼﻣ‬24)
‫ِﺔ اُﻤﻨﺎﻓ‬
َ ََ ْ ُْ َ َْ َ َ َ َُْ ََ َ
Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ُﻦَﺟﻌﻔ‬
‫ ﻗﺎل‬،‫ٍﺮ‬ ‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬ ‫ِﺳﻤﺎ‬‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ إ‬،‫ﻴﻊ‬
ِِ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُﺳﻠﻴ‬
‫َﻤﺎن أﺑ‬
‫ُﻮ ا ﺮ‬
َْ َ َْ َ ْ َ َ َْ َُ ََ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three:
ِ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِﻴ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ٍﻞ‬ ‫َﻬﻴ‬
‫ُﻮُﺳ‬ ‫ٍﺮ أﺑ‬
ِ ِ ‫ِﻦ أ‬ ‫ِﻚ ﺑ‬ ِ‫ُﻊْﻦ ﻣﺎ‬‫ِﻓ‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻧﺎ‬
1. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
ٌََ َ ُْ َ َ َْ ُ
2. Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his ‫ِﻖ ﺛﻼث‬ ‫َﺔ اُﻤﻨﺎﻓ‬
ِ ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " آﻳ‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫َﺮة‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫ﻫ‬
ََ ُ ََْ َ َ
ََْ َ ََ ََ َ
." ‫َﻦ ﺧﺎن‬ ‫ و‬،‫َﻋﺪ أﺧﻠﻒ‬ ‫ِذاَو‬ ‫َو‬،‫ِذاَﺣﺪث ﻛﺬب‬
promise ).
3. If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep ‫ِﻤ‬
‫ِذا اؤﺗ‬ ‫إ‬
something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)"
َ َ َْ َ َُ َْ َ َ ََْ ُ َََُْ َ
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: ‫ ْﻦ‬،‫ِﺶ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﻷ ﻤ‬‫ ﻋ‬،‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُﺳﻔﻴﺎن‬،‫َﺔ‬ ‫ُﻦ ﻘﺒ‬ ‫ِﺒﻴﺼﺔ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻗ‬
َ ْ َْ ْ ََ ُ َْْ ََُ ْ ْ َ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever has the following four
ِ ‫ أ‬،‫ٍﺮو‬
‫ا‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ِﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬،‫وق‬ ٍ ‫ ﻦ‬،‫ِﻦ ﺮة‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬ ‫ﺒ‬
(characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has
ًََ ََ ُ ْ ََ َ
one of the following four characteristics will have one ،‫ًﺼﺎ‬ِ ‫ِﻪ نُﻣﻨﺎﻓ‬
‫ِﻘﺎ ﺧﺎ‬ ‫ٌﻊَﻣﻦ ﻦِ ﻴ‬ َ‫ْر‬
‫ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " أ‬
َ ٌَ ََْ َْ َ ٌْ ََْ َْ ََ
‫ﺎقَﺣ‬ ‫ُﻬﻦ ﻧﺖِ ﻴ‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻧﺖِ ﻴ‬ ‫َوﻣ‬
characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.
1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays. ِ‫ِﻪ ﺧﺼﻠﺔِﻣﻦ ا ﻔ‬ ‫ِﻪ ﺧﺼﻠﺔِﻣﻨ‬
َََ َ ََ َ ََََ ََ َََََُ ْ َ ََ
2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie. ‫ِذا‬‫ و‬،‫ِذاَ ﻫﺪ ﻏﺪر‬ ‫ِذاَﺣﺪث ﻛﺬب و‬ ‫ِﻤﻦ ﺧﺎن و‬ ‫َﺪَﻬﺎِإذا اؤﺗ‬ ‫ﻳ‬
3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves َ
ْ َُ ْ َُُ َ َََََ
treacherous. .‫ِﺶ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﻷَﻤ‬‫َﺔ ﻋ‬‫َﻌﻪ ﺷﻌﺒ‬‫ ﺗﺎ‬." ‫َﺮ‬
‫ﺧﺎﺻﻢ ﻓﺠ‬
4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent,
evil and insulting manner."

ِ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺎم‬ ‫( ﺑﺎبِ ﻴ‬25)
voluntary) prayers on the night of Qadr is a
part of faith
َ ََ َ َ َ ٌْ ََُ ْ ََ َ َ ُْ ََ ََ
Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ِﻦ‬‫َﻋ‬،‫ِد‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬،‫ﺐ‬
‫ُﻮ ا ﺰﻧﺎ‬ ‫َﻌﻴ‬
‫َ ﻧﺎ ﺷ‬‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ﺎن‬ َ
ُ ََ ََ ََْ ُ َْ َ َ َْ
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever establishes the
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎل ر‬،‫َﺮة‬‫َﺮ‬
‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِج‬‫اﻷﻋﺮ‬
َ َ ًًَََُْ ْ َْ
prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and
َْ ََ َ ََُ ََ
hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not to show off) then all ." ‫ِﻪ‬‫ْﻦ ذﻧ‬
‫ِﺒ‬ ‫َﺮَُﻣﺎ ﻘﺪمِﻣ‬ ‫ِﻔ‬
‫ِﺴﺎﺑﺎ ﻏ‬‫ِإﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ واﺣ‬ ‫ْﻢْﻠﺔ اﻟﻘﺪ‬
‫ِر‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻘ‬ ‫"ﻣ‬
his past sins will be forgiven."
َ‫َﻦ اﻹ‬ َُ ْ
(26) Chapter: Al-Jihad (fighting tn Allah's ‫ﺎن‬
ِِ ‫ﻳﻤ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﺎد‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ِ‫( ﺑﺎب ا‬26)
Cause) is a part of faith
ََ َ َ َ ُْ ََْ ََ َ َ ْ ََ ََ
Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬،‫ِﺪ‬ ‫اﺣ‬
ِ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒﺪ ا ﻮ‬،‫ٍﺺ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺣﻔ‬ ْ ‫َﺮ‬
ِ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺣ‬
َََُْ َ َْ ْ َ َْ ََ َ َ َُ ُ
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "The person who participates in
‫َﺎ‬
‫ﺖ أﺑ‬‫ِﻤﻌ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺳ‬،‫ِﺮٍﺮ‬‫ِﻦ ﺟ‬ ‫ُﻦ ﻤ‬
‫ِﺮو ﺑ‬ ‫َﻋﺔ‬ ‫ْر‬
‫ُﻮُز‬‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬،‫ﺎرة‬
َ‫َﻤ‬
(Holy battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to
ُ ََ َْ َ َ َْ ُ
do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be ‫ْﻦ‬‫َﻤ‬ِ ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ا ﺘﺪب ا‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫َﺮة‬ ‫َﺮ‬
‫ﻫ‬
ُْ ُْ َُ ٌ ْ َ ٌَ ُ َُْ َ ََ َ
‫َﻌﻪ‬ ‫ُﺮﺳ‬ ‫َِوﺗﺼ‬ ‫ُﺟﻪ إ‬
recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he
survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in
‫ِﺟ‬
‫ِ أن أر‬ ‫ِﺪﻳﻖ ﺑ‬
ِ ‫ِﻳﻤﺎن‬‫ِﻻ إ‬ ‫ِﻪ ﻻ ِﺮ‬ ‫ِﻠ‬
‫ِﻴ‬‫ِ ﺳ‬ ‫ﺧﺮج‬
ََ‫ُﺷﻖ‬ َْ َََ َْ ُ َْ َُ ََْ َْ َ َ َ
the battle as a martyr). Had I not found it difficult for my ‫َوْﻮﻻ أن أ‬،‫ِﺧﻠﻪ اَﻨﺔ‬ ‫ْو أد‬‫ أ‬،‫ٍﺔ‬‫ِﻨﻴﻤ‬‫ٍﺮ أو ﻏ‬ ‫ْﻦ أﺟ‬ ‫َﻤﺎ ﻧﺎلِﻣ‬‫ﺑ‬
ِ
followers, then I would not remain behind any sariya going
ُ ُ
ُْ ََُْ َ ََ ْ ََُْ ُ
for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's ‫ﻴﻞ اِ ﻢ‬ ِِ ‫ِ َﺳ‬ ‫َﻞ‬‫ِددت أ أ ﺘ‬‫َو ﻮ‬،‫ٍِﺔ‬ ‫ِ َﻣﺎَﻌﺪت ﺧﻠﻒ‬ ‫أﻣ‬
ْ
ُ َُُ ُ
ْ ُُ َُ ُْ ُْ
." ‫َﻞ‬‫ ﻢ أ ﺘ‬،‫َﻞ ﻢ أﺣﻴﺎ‬
cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then
‫ ﻢ أ ﺘ‬،‫أﺣﻴﺎ‬
made alive, and then again martyred in His cause."
َ ‫َﻦ‬ َََ ََ ُ َ
(27) Chapter: It is a part of faith to establish the ‫ﺎن‬
ِ‫اﻹﻳﻤ‬ ‫( ﺑﺎبَﻄﻮعِ ﻴ‬27)
ِ ‫ِﺎم ر ﻀﺎنِﻣ‬
(Nawafil — voluntary) prayers during the
nights of Ramadan

Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ ْﻦَﻴ‬،‫ﺎب‬

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said: "Whoever establishes
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ‬ ‫ أن ر‬،‫َﺮة‬ ‫َﺮ‬
‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ِﻦ‬ ‫ِﺪ ا ﺮ‬ ‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ﺑ‬

prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of
َ ََ َ َ
sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for ‫ْﻦ‬ ‫َﺮَُﻣﺎ ﻘﺪ‬
‫َمِﻣ‬ ‫ِﻔ‬
‫ِﺴﺎﺑﺎ ﻏ‬ ‫ﺎمَر ﻀﺎن‬
‫ِإﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ واﺣ‬ ‫وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل "َﻣ‬

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever observes fasts

during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and

hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will ‫َﺮَُﻣﺎ‬‫ِﻔ‬

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Religion is very easy and whoever
‫ ﻦِأ‬،‫ِي‬ ‫ﻴﺪ اَﻤﻘ‬
ٍ‫ِﻌ‬ ‫ِ ﺳ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬ ‫ﻴﺪ ﺑ‬
ِ‫ِﻌ‬ ‫ ﻦ ﺳ‬،‫ﺎري‬ ِ‫ِﻐﻔ‬ ‫ٍﺪ اﻟ‬‫ِﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to
َ َْ َ َ َْ ُ
continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but ‫ْﻦ‬ ‫َوﻟ‬، ٌُ‫ﻳﻦ‬ ‫ِإن ا‬ " ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫َﺮة‬‫َﺮ‬
‫ﻫ‬
َ َُ َُ َ َ ٌ ََ
try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings
‫ُﻮا‬ َ
‫ِﻌﻴﻨ‬ ْ‫َو‬،‫ُْ وا‬
‫اﺳﺘ‬ ِ‫ﺎر ﻮاَوأ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ َ‫َﺴﺪدوا‬
‫و‬ ‫ﻓ‬ ،
ُ
‫ﻪ‬َ
‫ﺒ‬ ‫ﻠ‬‫ﻏ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬ َ َُ
that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by ِ ِ ‫ﺸﺎد ا ﻳﻦ أ‬
‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬
ْ َ َْ َْ ْ
worshipping in the mornings, the afternoons, and during ." ‫ِﺔ‬َ ‫ِﺔَو ٍءِﻣﻦ ا‬ ‫َﺣ‬‫ْو‬
‫ِةَوا ﺮ‬‫َو‬
‫ِﺎﻟﻐﺪ‬

Narrated Al-Bara' (bin 'Azib): ،‫ﺤﺎق‬ ‫ِإﺳ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ‬، ٌ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُزﻫ‬، ٍ ِ‫ُﺮوْﻦ ﺧﺎ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻤ‬

When the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ came to Medina, he stayed first

‫ِﺪﻳﻨ‬‫َم ا ﻤ‬‫ِﺪ‬‫ أن اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ن أول ﻣﺎ ﻗ‬،ِ ‫َ اء‬ ‫ِﻦ ا‬

with his grandfathers or maternal uncles from Ansar. He

offered his prayers facing Baitul-Maqdis (Jerusalem) for ‫َﻞ‬‫َوأﻧﻪَﺻ ِﻗﺒ‬،‫ﺎر‬ ِ‫ِ ـِﻣﻦ اﻷﻧﺼ‬ ِ‫ْو ﻗﺎل أﺧﻮا‬ ‫ِه ـ أ‬
‫ِد‬‫َﺰلَ أﺟﺪا‬ ‫ﻧ‬
ُْ ََُ ْ َ َ َْ َ ْ ََ َ ْْ ْ
‫ُﻪ‬ ‫َو ن ﻌ‬،‫ًﺮا‬ ‫َﻌﺔَﻋَ ﺷﻬ‬ ‫ْوَﺳﺒ‬ ‫ أ‬،‫ًﺮا‬ ‫ِسِﺳﺘﺔَﻋَ ﺷﻬ‬ ‫ﺖ اَﻤﻘ‬ َ
sixteen or seventeen months, but he wished that he could
pray facing the Ka'ba (at Mecca). The first prayer which ‫ِﺠﺒ‬ ‫ِﺪ‬ ِ‫ﻴ‬
ََ َ ََََ ََُ َْْ َُ ََُْْ َ
he offered facing the Ka'ba was the 'Asr prayer in the ‫ٍةَﺻﻼﻫﺎَﺻﻼة‬ ‫َوأﻧﻪ ﺻ أول ﺻﻼ‬،‫ﺖ‬ ِ‫َﻴ‬ ‫َﻞ ا‬ ‫ُﻪ ﻗ‬
‫ِﺒ‬ ‫ِﺒﻠﺘ‬
‫أن ﺗ ﻮن ﻗ‬
company of some people. Then one of those who had
ْ ََ ََُ َْ ٌ ََ ْ ََُ َ ْْ
offered that prayer with him came out and passed by ‫ِﻞ‬‫َﻤﺮَ أﻫ‬،‫َﻌﻪ‬ ‫ُﺟﻞِ ﻤﻦ ﺻ ﻣ‬ ‫َجَر‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫ ﻓﺨ‬،‫ٌم‬ ‫َﻌﻪ ﻗﻮ‬ ‫َوﺻ ﻣ‬، ِ‫َﻌ‬ ‫اﻟ‬
ََُْْ َ َ ُ َ
ْ ََ ََ َْ ُ َْ
ُ ََ ‫َﻬﺪ ﺑ‬ ‫ُﻌﻮن ﻘﺎل أﺷ‬ ‫َوﻫﻢ را‬،‫ٍﺪ‬
some people in a mosque who were bowing during their
prayers (facing Jerusalem). He said addressing them, "By
ِ‫ﻮل ا‬
ِ‫ِﺎِ ﻟﻘﺪ ﺻﻠﻴﺖ ﻣﻊ رﺳ‬ ‫ِﻛ‬ ‫ِﺠ‬ ‫ﺴ‬
ْ
ْ َْ َ ُ َ ُ‫َﺪ‬ َ َََ َ
Allah, I testify that I have prayed with Allah's Messenger ،‫ﺖ‬ِ‫َﻴ‬ ‫َﻤﺎ ﻫﻢِﻗﺒﻞ ا‬ ‫اروا ﻛ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢِﻗﺒﻞ ﻣﻜﺔ‬
ُْ َ ْْ ْ ََ ََْْ َ‫ْﻋ‬ َْ ََُ ْ َ َ
‫ﺖ اَﻤﻘ‬ َ‫َﺼ ﻗ‬ ُ ‫ُﻬﻢ‬ َ ‫ُﻬﻮد ﻗﺪ أ‬
(‫)ﷺ‬ facing Mecca (Ka'ba).' Hearing that, those people
changed their direction towards the Ka'ba immediately. ‫َوأﻫﻞ‬،‫ِس‬ ‫ِﺪ‬ ِ‫ِﺒﻞ ﻴ‬ ‫ِإذ ن ﻳ‬ ‫ﺠﺒ‬ ‫ﺖا‬ ِ‫َو ﻧ‬
ْ ََ َ ََ ُ َْ َ ْْ َ ُْ َ َ َْ
Jews and the people of the scriptures used to be pleased ٌ‫ ﻗﺎلُزﻫ‬.‫ِﻚ‬ ‫ﺖ أﻧ ﺮوا ذ‬ ِ‫َﻴ‬ ‫َﻞ ا‬ ‫َﻬﻪ ﻗ‬
‫ِﺒ‬ ‫ ﻓﻠﻤﺎَو َوﺟ‬،‫ﺎب‬ ِ‫ﻜﺘ‬ ِ‫اﻟ‬
to see the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ facing Jerusalem in prayers but
َ ْ َ
ْ َََُ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ‫ْﺳ‬ َ َ َ
when he changed his direction towards the Ka'ba, during ‫ِﺔ‬
‫ِﻘﺒﻠ‬‫اﻟ‬ ‫ِﻪ ﻫﺬا أﻧﻪ ﻣﺎت‬ ‫ِﺜ‬
‫ِﺪﻳ‬‫ِ ﺣ‬ ‫ِء‬‫َا‬ ‫ِﻦ ا‬ ‫ﺤﺎقَﻋ‬ ‫ِإ‬‫ُﻮ‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬
َ ُْ ََ
the prayers, they disapproved of it. ُ‫َل ا‬ ْ
‫َﺰ‬
َ
‫ ﻓﺄﻧ‬،‫ْﻢ‬‫ﻴﻬ‬ ِ
ُُ
‫ﻮل‬ ‫ﻘ‬
ََ ْ
‫ﺎ‬‫ﻣ‬ ‫ر‬‫ﺪ‬
َْ
‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﻢ‬
َ
‫ﻠ‬

‫ﻓ‬ ،‫ﻮا‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ َ‫ٌﺎل‬
‫و‬ ‫ﺟ‬َ‫ر‬ ‫ل‬

‫ﻮ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ﺒﻞ أ‬
َْ
Al-Bara' added, "Before we changed our direction ِ ِ ِ ِ
ََُ َ ُُ َََ ََ
towards the Ka'ba (Mecca) in prayers, some Muslims had {‫ﻳﻤﺎﻧ ْﻢ‬ ‫ِإ‬‫َوﻣﺎ ن ا ِِﻀﻴﻊ‬ } ‫َﻌﺎ‬
died or had been killed and we did not know what to say
about them (regarding their prayers.) Allah then revealed:
And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost
(i.e. the prayers of those Muslims were valid).' " (2:143).

(31) Chapter: (What is said regarding the ‫ِم اَﻤ‬
‫ْﺮ‬
‫ِء‬ ‫ِإﺳﻼ‬
‫ِﻦ‬

Islam sincerely.

ٍ ‫ﺴ‬ َ‫َﻄ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫أ‬ ، ‫ﻢ‬‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺳ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ز‬ََ
ِ ‫ِﻚ أ‬
‫ﺧ‬ ‫ﻗﺎل ﻣﺎ‬
َ ََََُُ َْ ْ ْ َ
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "If a person embraces Islam
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬ ‫ِﻤﻊ ر‬ ‫ ﺳ‬،‫َه أﻧﻪ‬َ ‫ِري أﺧ‬‫ﻴﺪ اُﺪ‬ ٍ‫ِﻌ‬ ‫ﺳ‬
sincerely, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and

َُ َ ُ َ ََُْ ُ َ ْ
ْ َْ َ َ َ ُ َُ
after that starts the settlement of accounts, the reward of ‫ٍﺔ‬‫ُﺮ اُ ﻨﻪ َﺳ ﺌ‬ ‫ُ ﻔ‬ ‫ُﻣﻪ ﻳ‬
‫ِإﺳﻼ‬ ‫َﻌﺒﺪ ﻓﺤﺴﻦ‬ ‫ِإذا أﺳﻠﻢ اﻟ‬" ‫ﻘﻮل‬
َ ََ ْ َْ ُ ََ ْ ََََُْ ْ ََ َ َ ََ
‫َﻌِ أﻣﺜﺎ‬ ‫َﺴﻨﺔِﺑ‬ ‫َو نَﻌﺪ ذ‬،‫َﻬﺎ‬ ‫نَزﻟﻔ‬
his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times
for each good deed and one evil deed will be recorded as ‫ِﻬﺎِإ‬ ‫ ا‬،‫ِﻘﺼﺎص‬ ‫ِﻚ اﻟ‬
َْ َََ َْ َ َْ ُ ْ َْ
it is unless Allah forgives it." ." ‫َﻬﺎ‬
‫َز اُ ﻨ‬ ‫ِإﻻ أن ﺘﺠﺎو‬ ‫ِﻠﻬﺎ‬ ‫ِﻤﺜ‬‫َﺔ ﺑ‬
ِ ‫َوا ﺴ ﺌ‬،‫ٍﻒ‬‫ِﺔِﺿﻌ‬ ‫ِﻤﺎﺋ‬
‫ِﻌ‬‫َﺳﺒ‬

‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ٍﺎم‬ ‫ ﻦ ﻫﻤ‬،‫ٌﺮ‬ ‫َﻣﻌﻤ‬
(follows strictly) his Islamic religion then his good deeds
ُ ََْ ََُُْْ ُ َ َ َْ ََ
will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for ‫َﻬﺎ‬
‫َﻤﻠ‬ ‫َﺴﻨ‬
‫ٍﺔ ﻌ‬ ‫ ﻓ َﺣ‬،‫َﻣﻪ‬ ‫ُﺪ ﻢ إ‬
‫ِ ﺳﻼ‬ ‫َﻦ أﺣ‬‫ِذا أﺣﺴ‬ ‫ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " إ‬

َََ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ
ْ ُْ ََُ ُْ
‫َﻬﺎ‬
‫َﻤﻠ‬ ‫َﻬﺎِإ َﺳﺒ‬‫َﻌِ أﻣﺜﺎ‬
each good deed and a bad deed will be recorded as it is."

‫ و ﺳ ﺌ‬،‫ٍﻒ‬ ‫ِﺔِﺿﻌ‬‫ِﻤﺎﺋ‬
‫ِﻌ‬ ِ ‫ﺐ ﺑ‬

‫ِﻤﺜ‬‫ﺐ ﺑ‬
ِ ‫ﺗ ﺘ‬

(32) Chapter: Ad-Din (good, righteous deed - ‫ُﻣﻪ‬
‫ِإ اِ أدو‬
‫ﻳﻦ‬
ِ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺐ‬‫ﺣ‬‫( ﺑﺎب أ‬32)
act of worship) loved most by Allah Jalla
Jalalahu is that which is done regularly.
(And in fact the best religion with Allah is
Islam)

Once the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ came while a woman was sitting
‫ِﻋﻨﺪﻫﺎ‬ ‫ أن اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ دﺧﻞَﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ و‬،‫ِﺸﺔ‬ ‫ﻦ‬
with me. He said, "Who is she?" I replied, "She is so and

‫َﺣﺐ‬ ‫َو ن أ‬." ‫َﻮاِ ﻻَﻤﻞ اَُﺣ ﻤﻠﻮا‬ ‫َﻋﻠﻴ ﻢ ﺑ‬
disapprovingly, "Do (good) deeds which is within your
capacity (without being overtaxed) as Allah does not get
‫ ﻓ‬،‫ِﻄﻴﻘﻮن‬ ‫ِﻤﺎ ﺗ‬
ُ َْ َ َََْ َ
tired (of giving rewards) but (surely) you will get tired and .‫ُﻪ‬
‫ﺎﺣﺒ‬
ِ‫ِﻪ ﺻ‬ ‫امَﻋﻠﻴ‬‫ِِﻪ ﻣﺎ د‬‫ﻳﻦ إ‬
ِ‫ا‬
the best deed (act of Worship) in the sight of Allah is that
which is done regularly."

(33) Chapter: Faith increases and decreases ‫َﺼﺎﻧ‬

Narrated Anas: ،‫َﺎدة‬
‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺘ‬،‫ﺎم‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎِﻫﺸ‬،‫ﻴﻢ‬ ‫ْﺮا‬
‫ِﻫ‬ ‫ُﻦِإﺑ‬ ْ‫ُﻢ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎُْﺴ‬

The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "Whoever said "None has the right
‫ﺎر‬ َ ُُ
ِ ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﺮجِﻣﻦ ا‬ ‫َﻋ‬،‫ْﻦ أٍﺲ‬
to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good
َْ ْ َ َ َُ َْ َُ َ ََ َ ََ
(faith) equal to the weight of a barley grain will be taken ‫َﻦ‬‫ُجِﻣ‬ ‫َوُﺮ‬، ٍ‫ْﻦ ﺧ‬ ‫ِﻌٍةِﻣ‬ ‫ْزن ﺷ‬ ‫ِﻪَو‬ ‫ِﺒ‬
‫ِ ﻗﻠ‬‫ و‬، ‫ِإِإﻻ ا‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻗﺎل ﻻ‬‫ﻣ‬
َْ ْ َ ْ
َُ َ َُ َ َ َ َ ََ
‫ُج‬ ‫َوُﺮ‬، ٍ‫ْﻦ ﺧ‬ ‫ْزن ﺑ‬
‫ُﺮ‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻗﺎل ﻻ إ‬
out of Hell. And whoever said: "None has the right to be
worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith)
‫ٍةِﻣ‬ ‫ِﻪ و‬‫ِﺒ‬
‫ِ ﻗﻠ‬ ‫ و‬، ‫ِﻻ ا‬ ‫ِ إ‬ ‫ﺎر ﻣ‬

equal to the weight of a wheat grain will be taken out of ‫ ﻗﺎل‬." ٍ‫ْﻦ ﺧ‬ ‫ٍةِﻣ‬‫ْزن ذر‬‫ِﻪ و‬‫ِﺒ‬
‫ِ ﻗﻠ‬ ‫َو‬، ُ‫ِإﻻ ا‬ َ‫ْﻦ ﻗﺎل ﻻ إ‬
ِ ‫ﺎرَﻣ‬ َ
ِ ‫ِﻣﻦ ا‬
Hell. And whoever said, "None has the right to be َََ َ ُ َََ َ ََُ َ ْ ََ
worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) ‫ِﻦ اِ ﺻ‬ ‫َﺎدةَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أٌﺲَﻋ‬ ‫َﺎنَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺘ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﻗﺎل أﺑ‬ ‫ُﻮ ﺒ‬ ‫أﺑ‬

equal to the weight of an atom will be taken out of Hell."

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab: ‫ُﻮ‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬،‫ٍن‬ ‫ْﻮ‬‫َﻦَﻋ‬ ْ‫َﺮ‬ ‫َﻊَﺟﻌﻔ‬ ‫ِﻤ‬‫ ﺳ‬،‫ﺎح‬ِ‫ُﻦ ا ﺼﺒ‬ ْ‫ُﻦ‬ ‫َﺴ‬ َ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ا‬

Once a Jew said to me, "O the chief of believers! There is

ِ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ق‬ ‫ﺎر‬
ِ ‫ﻃ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ،‫ﻢ‬ٍ‫ﻠ‬
ِ ‫ﺴ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ َ

a verse in your Holy Book Which is read by all of you

(Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have ، َ‫ِﻨ‬‫ِﻣ‬‫َِ اُﻤﺆ‬ ‫َﺎ أ‬‫ِد ﻗﺎلُ ﻳ‬‫َﻦ اَﻬﻮ‬ ‫ِﻣ‬،‫ُﺟﻼ‬ ‫ أنَر‬،‫ﺎب‬ ِ‫ِﻦ ا ﻄ‬ ‫َﻤ‬
‫َﺮ ﺑ‬
َ ََْ ََْ ُ َْ َْ َْ َ ََ ْ َُ َ ٌ
‫َﺰﻟﺖ ﻻ ﺬﻧﺎ‬ ‫ُءوَﻬﺎْﻮَﻋﻠﻴﻨﺎَﻣﻌَ اَﻬﻮ‬ ‫ِ ْﻢ ﻘﺮ‬ ‫َﺔ‬
taken that day (on which it was revealed as a day of
celebration." 'Umar bin Al-Khattab asked, "Which is that ‫ِد ﻧ‬ ‫ِ ِﻛﺘﺎﺑ‬ ‫آﻳ‬
َُ ََُُ َ ْ ْ َ ْ َ ْ
verse?" The Jew replied, "This day I have perfected your ‫ﺖ ﻟ ْﻢِدﻳﻨ ْﻢ‬ َ‫َﺎل }ا‬
‫ْﻮم أ ﻤﻠ‬

‫ٍﺔ ﻗ‬
ًَ ْ
‫ ﻗﺎل أى آﻳ‬.‫َمِ ﻴﺪا‬ ‫ِﻚ اَﻮ‬

religion For you, completed My favor upon you, And have

chosen for you Islam as your religion." (5:3) 'Umar ‫ُﺮ‬‫ ﻗﺎل َﻤ‬.{‫َمِدﻳﻨﺎ‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬ ِ‫ِﺿﻴﺖ ﻟ ﻢ‬ ‫ِ َور‬ ‫َﻤ‬‫ِﻌ‬‫ﺖَﻋﻠﻴ ﻢ ﻧ‬ ‫َوأَﻤﻤ‬

‫ِﻪَ اِ ﺻ اﷲ‬ ‫َﺰﻟﺖِ ﻴ‬ ‫َمَواَﻤ ن اِ ي ﻧ‬ ‫ِﻚ اَﻮ‬ ‫َﺮ ﻨﺎ ذ‬
replied,"No doubt, we know when and where this verse
‫ﻗﺪ ﻋ‬
was revealed to the Prophet. It was Friday and the

Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ was standing at 'Arafat (i.e. the Day of Hajj)" .‫ٍﺔ‬‫َﻌ‬ُ ‫ْﻮم‬

Narrated Talha bin 'Ubaidullah: ‫ِﻞ‬ ‫َﻬﻴ‬‫ِ ُﺳ‬ ‫ ﻦ ﻤ‬،‫ُﻦ أٍﺲ‬
‫ِﻪ أ‬ ‫ِﻚ‬ ‫ِ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺣﺪﺛ‬،‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬ ‫ِإﺳﻤﺎ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬
َ‫ﻮلَﺟ‬ ُُ َ ْ ُ َْ َََََُْ َْ َ َْ
A man from Najd with unkempt hair came to Allah's
‫ﺎء‬ ‫ ﻘ‬، ِ‫ِﺪ ا‬ ‫َﻴ‬
‫َﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ﺤﺔ‬ ‫ِﻤﻊ ﻃﻠ‬‫ أﻧﻪ ﺳ‬،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِﻴ‬‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ٍﻚ‬ ِ ‫ِﻦ ﻣﺎ‬‫ﺑ‬
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ and we heard his loud voice but could not
َ ْ َْْ َ ُ َ َ ٌَُ
understand what he was saying, till he came near and ‫ُﺮ‬‫ ﺛﺎﺋ‬،‫ِﻞ ٍﺪ‬
ِ ‫ﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢِﻣﻦ أﻫ‬ ِ‫رﺟﻞِإ رﺳ‬
then we came to know that he was asking about Islam.
‫َﻮ‬
ََُ َ
‫ِﺈذا ﻫ‬
َ ُُ َ ُ ََُْ َْ َُ
‫ ﻓ‬،‫َوﻻ ﻔﻘﻪَﻣﺎ ﻘﻮلَﺣ دﻧﺎ‬،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِوي ﺻﻮﺗ‬ ‫َﻤﻊ د‬‫ْﺴ‬ُ،‫ْس‬ ‫ا ﺮأ‬
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "You have to offer prayers ِ ِ
ْ َ ُ َ َ َ
َ ْ َ ْ َ

perfectly five times in a day and night (24 hours)." The ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ـ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " ُﺲ‬ ‫ِم ﻘﺎلَر‬ ‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬ِ‫ِﻦ‬ ‫َﺴﺄل ﻋ‬
man asked, "Is there any more (praying)?" Allah's
ْ َ َ َ ََْ ََ ْ َََ َ َ ْ ْ ْ ََ
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "No, but if you want to offer the ‫ِإﻻ أن‬ ،‫ ﻘﺎل ﻫﻞَ ﻏُﻫﺎ ﻗﺎل " ﻻ‬." ‫ِﺔ‬ ‫ِمَوا ﻠﻴﻠ‬‫ِ اَﻮ‬ ‫ات‬ َ
ٍ‫ﺻﻠﻮ‬
َََََُ ُ ََ ََ َ
." ‫َ ﻀﺎن‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " و‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ر‬." ‫َﻄﻮع‬
Nawafil prayers (you can)." Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ further
‫ِﺻﻴﺎم ر‬
said to him: "You have to observe fasts during the month

ُُ َُ َ ََ َ ََ َْ َُ
،‫ُه ﻗﺎل " ﻻ‬
ََْ ْ
‫ﻗﺎل ﻫﻞَ ﻏ‬
ََ َ
of Ramadan." The man asked, "Is there any more ِ‫ ﻗﺎل وذﻛﺮ رﺳﻮل ا‬." ‫ِإﻻ أن ﻄﻮع‬
ْ َ َ َ ََْ ََ ْ ََ ََ َ
،‫ ﻗﺎل ﻫﻞَ ﻏُﻫﺎ ﻗﺎل " ﻻ‬.‫ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ا ﺰ ة‬
fasting?" Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "No, but if you
want to observe the Nawafil fasts (you can.)" Then Allah's ‫ِإﻻ أن‬
َ َ ََ ََ َُُ َُ ُ َ َََْ ََ َ
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ further said to him, "You have to pay the
‫ِزُﺪَ ﻫﺬاَوﻻ‬ ‫َﻮ ﻘﻮل واِ ﻻ أ‬ ‫ُﺟﻞَوﻫ‬ ‫َﺮ ا ﺮ‬‫ ﻗﺎل ﻓﺄدﺑ‬." ‫َﻄﻮع‬
Zakat (obligatory charity)." The man asked, "Is there any
َ َ َْ ََْ ُ ََ َ ُ َْ
thing other than the Zakat for me to pay?" Allah's ." ‫ِإنَﺻﺪق‬ ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ " أﻓﻠﺢ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ر‬.‫ُﺺ‬ ‫أﻘ‬
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "No, unless you want to give alms
of your own." And then that man retreated saying, "By
Allah! I will neither do less nor more than this." Allah's
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "If what he said is true, then he will
be successful (i.e. he will be granted Paradise)."

(35) Chapter: To accompany the funeral ‫ﺎن‬
ِ ِ ِ ‫( ﺑﺎب ا ﺒﺎع ا‬35)

processions (up to the place of burial) is a
part of faith

Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ ﻗﺎل‬،‫ْوح‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ر‬، ِ ‫ِ اَﻤﻨﺠﻮ‬ ‫ِﻦ‬
‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬‫ُﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أَﺪ‬
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "(A believer) who َُ َ ََ َْ َ ُ َْ َ َ ُ َ
‫َو ﻤ‬،‫ِﻦ‬
ْ َ ٌ
‫ِﻦ اَﺴ‬ ‫ ﻋ‬،‫ْﻮف‬

‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎَﻋ‬
ِ‫ أن رﺳﻮل ا‬،‫ِ ﻫﺮ ﺮة‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫ٍﺪ‬
accompanies the funeral procession of a Muslim out of
ًَ َُْ ََ ََ
sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's reward and ‫ﻳﻤﺎﻧﺎ‬ ‫ٍﻢِإ‬‫ِﻠ‬‫ﺎزة ﺴ‬ ‫َﻊَﺟﻨ‬ َ
‫ِﻦ ا ﺒ‬‫ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل "َﻣ‬
َُ َْ َ َُ َْ َ َ ُ َُ
ْ ََ ََْ
‫ْﻦ دﻓ‬‫َﻔﺮغِﻣ‬ ‫ و‬،‫َﺼ َﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ‬ ‫َﻌﻪ ﺣ ﻳ‬ ‫َو نَﻣ‬،‫ًﺎ‬
remains with it till the funeral prayer is offered and the
burial ceremonies are over, he will return with a reward of
‫ِﺈﻧﻪ‬‫ ﻓ‬،‫ِﻨﻬﺎ‬ ‫ِﺴﺎﺑ‬‫واﺣ‬
َ
َْ َْ ُ ُ ْ َ ُْ َ
ْ َ ُْ
two Qirats. Each Qirat is like the size of the (Mount) ‫َﻬﺎ‬‫َﻣﻦ ﺻ ﻋﻠﻴ‬ ‫َو‬،‫ٍﺪ‬‫ُﺣ‬‫اطِﻣﺜﻞ أ‬ٍِ ‫ ﻗ‬، ِ‫اﻃ‬ ََ‫ﺟﺮ ﺑﻘ‬
ِِِ‫ِﺟﻊِﻣﻦ اﻷ‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫ﻳ‬
Uhud. He who offers the funeral prayer only and returns
َُ ْ ُ ْ َُُ َ ُ ََ َْ ُ ََْ َ
ْ َ ُ
before the burial, will return with the reward of one Qirat ‫َﻤﺎن اُﻤﺆذن‬ ‫َﻌﻪ ﺜ‬ ‫ ﺗﺎ‬." ‫اط‬ٍَ‫ِﻘ‬ ‫ُﻊ ﺑ‬
ِ

‫ِﺟ‬ ‫َﻊ ﺒﻞ أن ﺗﺪ ﻦ ﻓ‬
‫ِﺈﻧﻪ ﻳ‬ ‫ﻢَرﺟ‬

‫َﺮةَﻋ‬ ‫َﺮ‬ ‫ْﻮف ْﻦ ﻤ‬ ‫ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﻋ‬

of a believer that his good deeds may be

َ‫ﺎق‬‫ْﻢ ﺎف ا ﻔ‬ ‫ِﻪَوﺳﻠﻢ ﻬ‬‫ﺎب اِ َﺻ اَُﻋﻠﻴ‬ ِ‫ِ ِﻣﻦ أﺻﺤ‬ ‫َر ﺖ ﺛﻼﺛ‬ ‫ِ ُ ﻠﻴﻜﺔ أد‬ ‫ْﻦ أ‬ ‫َوﻗﺎل ا‬

Narrated 'Abdullah: ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺳﺄﻟ‬،‫ٍﺪ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫َﺮة‬

doing) and killing him is Kufr (disbelief)."

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: ،‫ٍﺪ‬‫ ْﻦَﻴ‬،‫ٍﺮ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺟﻌﻔ‬ ‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬‫ِﺳﻤﺎ‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ إ‬،‫ﻴﺪ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺳ‬

"Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ went out to inform the people
‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ‬ ‫ أن ر‬،‫ﺖ‬ ‫ُﻦ ا ﺼﺎ‬
ِ‫ِﻣ‬ ‫َﺎدة‬
‫َِ ﺒ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ْﻦ أٍﺲ‬
about the (date of the) night of decree (Al-Qadr) but there
ََ َ ََ ْ َْ َ ْ َ ُْ ُ َ َ
happened a quarrel between two Muslim men. The ‫َﻦ‬‫ِنِﻣ‬ ‫ُﺟﻼ‬ ‫َﻼ ر‬ ‫ ﺘ‬،‫ِر‬ ‫ِﺔ اﻟﻘﺪ‬ ‫َج ِ ﺑ‬
‫ِﻠﻴﻠ‬ ‫ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﺧﺮ‬
َ َََُ ْ ََْ َْْ ُْ ُ ُْ َ ََ َ ُْ ْ
‫َ ﻢﺑ‬ ‫َﺮﺟ‬ " ‫ِﻤَ ﻘﺎل‬
Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "I came out to inform you about (the
date of) the night of Al-Qadr, but as so and so and so and
‫ِﻧﻪ ﺗﻼ‬ ‫ و‬،‫ِر‬‫ِﺔ اﻟﻘﺪ‬‫ِﻠﻴﻠ‬ ِ‫ﺖ ﻷﺧ‬ ‫ِإ ﺧ‬ ‫ِﻠ‬
‫ا ﻤﺴ‬
ََُ ُْ ًَُ ْ َََُْ ََ ُْ ٌَ َُ ٌ َُ
so quarrelled, its knowledge was taken away (I forgot it)
ِ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻮﻫ‬ ‫ﺴ‬‫ﻤ‬ِ ‫ا‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺧ‬ ‫ﻮن‬ ‫ﻳ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫َﻋ أ‬ ‫َﻌﺖَو‬‫ﻓﻼنَوﻓﻼن ﻓﺮﻓ‬

and maybe it was better for you. Now look for it in the 7th,

the 9th and the 5th (of the last 10 nights of the month of ." ‫ِﺲ‬‫ِﻊَواَﻤ‬‫ِﻊ واﻟ ﺴ‬‫ا ﺴﺒ‬

Narrated Abu Huraira: ‫ُﻮَﺣﻴﺎن‬ ‫َ ﻧﺎ أﺑ‬َ‫ أﺧ‬،‫ﻴﻢ‬ ‫ِﻫ‬‫َﺮا‬
‫ِإﺑ‬‫ْﻦ‬ ‫ِ ﻴﻞ‬ ‫ِإﺳﻤﺎ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬،‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎَُﺴﺪد‬

One day while the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ was sitting in the company
‫ ﻗﺎل ن اِ ﺻ اﷲ‬،‫َﺮة‬ ‫َﺮ‬
‫ِ ﻫ‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫َﻋﺔ‬ ‫ِ ُزر‬ ‫ ﻦأ‬، ِ ‫ا ﻴ‬
of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked,
َ ََُ َََ َُْ ُ ََ َ
"What is faith?" Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, 'Faith is to " ‫اﻹﻳﻤﺎن ﻗﺎل‬ ِ‫ ﻓﺄﺗﺎهِﺟِ ﻞ ﻘﺎل ﻣﺎ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ِ‫ِﻠﻨ‬ ‫ًﻣﺎ‬‫ْﻮ‬ َ
‫ًزا ﻳ‬‫ﺎر‬َ
ِ‫ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﺑ‬
ُْ ُ ََ َ ََ ُْْ ََُ
‫َﻦ‬ ‫َوﺗﺆ‬،‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ُرﺳ‬
‫ِﻪَو‬ َ ‫َﻦ ﺑﺎ‬
believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His
Apostles, and to believe in Resurrection." Then he further ‫ِﻣ‬ ‫ِﻠ‬ ‫ِﻠﻘﺎﺋ‬
ِ ‫و‬
ِ ‫ﻪ‬
ِ ‫ﺘ‬
ِ ‫ﺋ‬
ِ ‫ﻼ‬ ‫و‬ ِ ِ ‫ﻣ‬
ِ ‫ﺆ‬‫ﺗ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫اﻹﻳﻤﺎن أ‬ ِ
َ ْ َ
ُ ََ َ َُُْْ ْ َ َ َ َ
َُ ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ
‫اﻹﺳﻼم أن ﻌﺒﺪ ا وﻻ ِك‬ َ
ِ" ‫اﻹﺳﻼم ﻗﺎل‬ ِ‫ ﻗﺎل ﻣﺎ‬." ‫ﺚ‬ ِ‫ِﺎ ﻌ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
asked, "What is Islam?" Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied,
"To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers
َََ َ‫ُﺼ‬ َ َ ْ ْ َ
َ َ َ ََََ َ َ ُ َ ُ
perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to ." ‫ﻮمَر ﻀﺎن‬ ‫َوﺗ‬،‫ُﺮوﺿﺔ‬ ‫ وﺗﺆدي ا ﺰ ة ا ﻤﻔ‬،‫ِﻘﻴﻢ ا ﺼﻼة‬ ‫ وﺗ‬،‫ِﻪ‬‫ﺑ‬
ِ
َْ ََََُُْ َ
ََ َ َْ َْ َ َ َُ ْ ََ َ
‫ُاه‬
‫َﺮ‬‫ِنْﻢ ﺗ ﻦ ﺗ‬ ‫ ﻓﺈ‬،‫ُﺪ اَ ﻛﺄﻧﻚ ﺗﺮاه‬ ‫َﺴﺎن ﻗﺎل " أن ﻌﺒ‬
observe fasts during the month of Ramadan." Then he
‫اﻹﺣ‬ِ‫ﻗﺎل ﻣﺎ‬
further asked, "What is Ihsan (perfection)?" Allah's
َْ ََ َُْ َْ ْ َ َُ َ َ ََ َُ
Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "To worship Allah as if you see ‫َﻦ‬ ‫َﻢِﻣ‬ ‫ِﺄﻋﻠ‬‫ُﻮل ﻨﻬﺎ ﺑ‬ ‫ﺎﻋﺔ ﻗﺎل "َﻣﺎ ا ﻤﺴﺌ‬ َ‫َ ا ﺴ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﻣ‬." ‫اك‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫ِﺈﻧﻪ ﻳ‬
‫ﻓ‬
َ َََ ََُ َ َ ََ َ َْْ ََ َْ ُ
َ‫َﻄ‬ ‫ و‬،‫َﻣﺔ ر ﻬﺎ‬ ‫َِت اﻷ‬ ِ ‫ُك ﻦ أ‬
Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then
you must consider that He is looking at you." Then he ‫ﺎول‬ ‫ِذا‬ ‫ِإذاَو‬ ‫اﻃﻬﺎ‬ ِ‫َوﺳﺄﺧ‬،‫ِﻞ‬ ‫ا ﺴﺎﺋ‬
ِ
ََُ ُ َ َ ْ
ْ َ َ َ ْْ ْ ْ ُ َ
further asked, "When will the Hour be established?"
‫ ﻢ ﺗﻼ‬." ‫ِﻻ ا‬ ‫ُﻬﻦ إ‬ ‫ُﻤ‬‫ِ ٍﺲ ﻻ ﻌﻠ‬ ،‫ﺎن‬ ُ ‫ُﻢ‬
ِ‫ِ ا ﻴ‬ ‫ُﻬ‬ ‫ِﻞ ا‬‫اﻹﺑ‬
ِِ‫ر ة‬
ُ
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ replied, "The answerer has no
َُ َ ُ ْ َ ْ
better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you ‫ ﻢ‬.‫َﺔ‬ ‫ِﺔ{ اﻵﻳ‬ ‫ُهِﻋﻠﻢ ا ﺴﺎﻋ‬ ‫ِإن اَِﻋﻨﺪ‬ } ‫اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ‬
ََُُْ َ َ ََ َْ ََ ََ ُُ ََ ََ َْ
‫ُﻢ‬‫ﺎءَﻌﻠ‬ ‫ ﻘﺎل " ﻫﺬاِﺟِ ﻞ ﺟ‬.‫ًﺎ‬ ‫ْوا ﺷ ﺌ‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫ْﻢ ﻳ‬ ‫َﺮ ﻘﺎل " رد‬
about its portents.
1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
‫ ﻓﻠ‬." ‫وه‬ ‫أدﺑ‬
َََُُ ْ َ ََ َ ُ َ َ
2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting .‫ﺎن‬ َ ‫َﻦ‬
ِ‫اﻹﻳﻤ‬ ِ ‫ِﻚ ﻪِﻣ‬ ‫َﻌﻞ ذ‬ ‫ِﺪ اَِﺟ‬ ‫ُﻮ ﺒ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺑ‬." ‫ْﻢ‬ ‫ﺎسِدﻳﻨﻬ‬ ‫ا‬
and competing with others in the construction of higher
buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody
knows except Allah.
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ then recited: "Verily, with Allah (Alone) is
the knowledge of the Hour--." (31. 34) Then that man
(Gabriel) left and the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ asked his companions
to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the
Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "That was Gabriel who came to teach
the people their religion." Abu 'Abdullah said: He (the
Prophet) considered all that as a part of faith.
(38) Chapter: ‫( ﺑﺎب‬38)

‫َﺮا‬ ‫ِﻫﻴﻢ‬ ‫ْﺮا‬
‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎِإﺑ‬
َْ ََ ْ َْ ْ َُ َ َْ َ
I was informed by Abu Sufyan that Heraclius said to him,
ِ‫ أن ﺒﺪ ا‬، ِ‫ِﺪ ا‬ ‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ِﺪ اِ ﺑ‬‫َﻴ‬
‫ ْﻦ ﺒ‬،‫ﺎب‬ٍ‫ِﻦِﺷﻬ‬ ‫ِﻦ اﺑ‬‫ ﻋ‬،‫ٍﺢ‬‫ِﻟ‬
‫ﺻﺎ‬
"I asked you whether they (followers of Muhammad) were
َ َ َ َْ َ ْ
َ ُُ َ َ َ
ْ َ َ َْ َ ْ
increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were
ُ‫ ﻗﺎل‬،‫َﺮﻗﻞ‬ ‫ أنِﻫ‬،‫َﺎن‬ ‫َِ أﺑﻮ ﺳﻔﻴ‬ ‫ُه ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬ََ ‫ أﺧ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ٍ‫َﻦ ﺒ‬
ََ َ َ َْ ََْ َََُُ َْْ ََ َْ ََْ َ
‫َو ﺬ‬،‫ِﺰُﺪون‬‫ﺖ أُﻬﻢ ﻳ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫ِﺰُﺪون أم ﻨﻘﺼﻮن‬
‫َﺰ ﻤ‬ ‫ُ ﻚ ﻫﻞ ﻳ‬ ‫َﺳﺄ‬
increasing. And in fact, this is the way of true Faith till it is
complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there
‫ِﻚ‬
ََْْ ً ٌَْ َ ََ َْ ََْ َ َُ
was anybody, who, after embracing his (the Prophets) ‫ِﻪَﻌﺪ أن‬ ‫ِﻨ‬
‫ِﻳ‬ َ ْ
ِ‫ُﻚ ﻫﻞ ﻳﺮﺗﺪ أﺣﺪ ﺳﺨﻄﺔ‬ ‫َﺳﺄ‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎنَﺣ ﻳ‬
َ
‫َو‬.‫ِﺘﻢ‬ ‫اﻹ‬
ِ
religion (Islam) became displeased and discarded it. You
ََُُ َ َُ ُ َ َ َ َ َْ َْ َ َ ُ ْ
replied in the negative, and in fact, this is (a sign of) true ‫ُﻂ ﺸﺎﺷﺘﻪ‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎنِﺣَ ﺎ‬
‫ِﻟ‬ َ‫َو ﺬ ﻚ اﻹ‬،‫ﺖ أن ﻻ‬
ِ ِ
َ‫َﺰ ﻤ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫ِﻪ‬‫َﺪﺧﻞِ ﻴ‬ ‫ﻳ‬
َ
ٌ ُُ ََ َ ُ َ ُ ْ
.‫َﺣﺪ‬‫ْﺴﺨﻄﻪ أ‬
faith. When its delight enters the heart and mixes with
‫ ﻻ‬،‫اﻟﻘﻠﻮب‬
them completely, nobody can be displeased with it."

(39) Chapter: The superiority of that person ‫ِﻪ‬
‫ِﻨ‬
‫ِﻳ‬
ِ‫ََأ‬
‫ِﻦ اﺳﺘ‬
‫ِﻞ ﻣ‬

who leaves all doubtful (unclear) things for
the sake of his religion

Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir: ‫َﻤﺎن‬ ‫ِﻤﻌﺖ ا ﻌ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﺳ‬،‫ٍﺮ‬ ِ ‫ ﻦ‬،‫ﺎء‬ ‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎَزِﺮ‬،‫ٍﻢ‬ ‫ُﻮَﻌﻴ‬‫َﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑ‬

I heard Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ saying, 'Both legal and
" ‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻘﻮل‬ ‫ِﻤﻌﺖ ر‬ ‫ ﻘﻮل ﺳ‬، ٍ‫ِﺸ‬ ‫ْﻦ‬
illegal things are evident but in between them there are
َ ُ َْ ََ ٌ ََُ ٌَََُْ
َ ْ َُْ
doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have ‫َﻦ‬‫ِﺜٌِﻣ‬ ‫َﻬﺎ ﻛ‬‫َﻬﺎت ﻻ ﻌﻠﻤ‬ ‫ُﻬﻤﺎ ﺸﺒ‬ ‫َﻨ‬‫ و‬، ‫ٌََواَﺮام ﺑ‬ ‫اَﻼل ﺑ‬

no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself

ِِ‫ﺎت اﺳﺘ أ‬ِ‫ِﻦ ا ا ﻤﺸﺒﻬ‬ ‫ ﻤ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ِ‫ا‬

honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is ‫ِﻟ‬ ‫ِن‬‫ أﻻ و‬.‫َﻌﻪ‬ ‫َﻮا‬

‫ﻮﺷﻚ أن ﻳ‬ ِ‫ ﻳ‬، ِ‫اع ﻳﺮ ﺣﻮل ا‬
ٍَ‫َﺮ‬ ‫ﺎت ﻛ‬ ُ
ِ‫ا ﺸﺒﻬ‬
like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima ْ ََُ َ َ ْ َ ََ ً َ
(private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he ‫ِﺪ‬‫َﺴ‬ َ ‫ِ ا‬ ‫ِن‬ ‫ أﻻَو‬،‫ُﻣﻪ‬ ‫ﺎر‬
ِ ‫ﻪ‬
ِ‫ﺿ‬ِ‫ر‬‫أ‬ ِ ِ ‫ا‬ َ ‫ﺣ‬
ِ ‫ن‬ ‫إ‬
ِ ‫ أ‬، ‫ٍﻚِﺣ‬
‫ﻻ‬ ‫ِﻠ‬
ْ
َ‫َﺪ ا‬ َََْ ََََُُُ ْ َ َ
َْ ًََ َْ
‫ُﺪ‬‫َﺴ‬ ‫َﺴ‬ ‫ و‬،‫َﺢ اَﺴﺪ ﻪ‬ ‫ﺤﺖَﺻﻠ‬ ‫ُ ﻀﻐﺔ إ‬
is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a
‫ِذا ﻓﺴﺪت ﻓ‬ ‫ِذا ﺻﻠ‬
ْ َََُُ
Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal
ُْ
." ‫ﺐ‬

‫َ اﻟﻘﻠ‬ ‫ أﻻ و‬.‫ﻪ‬
(forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the ِ
body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body
becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets
spoilt and that is the heart.

(40) Chapter: To pay Al-Khumus (one-fifth of ‫ﺎن‬

Narrated Abu Jamra: ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل ﻛﻨ‬،‫ِ َﺮة‬ ‫ ﻦ أ‬،‫َﺔ‬ ‫َ ﻧﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫ِﺪ‬ ‫ُﻦ اَﻌ‬ ِ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ‬

I used to sit with Ibn 'Abbas and he made me sit on his
‫ِﺪيَﺣ‬ ‫ِﻗﻢِﻋﻨ‬ ‫ِه ﻘﺎل أ‬ ‫ِ َ ِِﺮ‬ ‫ُﺴ‬‫ ِﻠ‬،‫ﺎس‬ ٍ‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ُﺪَﻣﻊ اﺑ‬ ‫أُﻌ‬
sitting place. He requested me to stay with him in order
َْ َ َُ ْ ََُُْْ َََ َْ ً َْ ََْ َ
that he might give me a share from his property. So I ‫ ﻢ ﻗﺎلِإنَوﻓﺪ‬،‫ِﻦ‬ ‫َﺮ‬‫َﻌﻪ ﺷﻬ‬ ‫ ﻓﺄ ﻤﺖ ﻣ‬، ِ ‫َﻌﻞ ﻚَﺳﻬﻤﺎِﻣﻦ ﻣﺎ‬ ‫أﺟ‬
َ َْ ََ َ َََ ْ َْْ َ
‫ْو‬‫ُم أ‬ ‫ْﻮ‬ ‫ُﻮا اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " ﻣ‬
stayed with him for two months. Once he told (me) that
when the delegation of the tribe of 'Abdul Qais came to ‫ِﻦ اﻟﻘ‬ ‫ِﺪ اﻟﻘِﺲ ﻤﺎ أﺗ‬ ‫ﺒ‬
ْ َ ْ ْْ َ ْ ًَْ َ" ‫َﺎل‬َُ َ‫ُﻮاَر‬ َ ُ ْ َْ
the Prophet, the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ asked them, "Who are the َ ‫ِﺪ ـ ﻏ‬ ‫َﻮﻓ‬ ‫ِﺎ‬
‫ِم ـ أو ﺑ‬ ‫َﺣﺒﺎ ﺑ‬
‫ِﺎﻟﻘﻮ‬ ‫ْﺮ‬ ‫ ﻗ‬.‫ﻴﻌﺔ‬ ِ ‫ ﻗﺎ‬." ‫ِﻦ ا ﻮﻓﺪ‬
َ ‫ﻣ‬
people (i.e. you)? (Or) who are the delegate?" They
َ َُْ َْ َ ََ َ َََُ َ َ ََ َ َ
replied, "We are from the tribe of Rabi'a." Then the ‫َﻚ‬ ‫ِﻴ‬ ‫ِﻄﻴﻊ أن ﻧﺄ‬ ‫ِﻧﺎ ﻻْﺴﺘ‬ ‫ إ‬، ِ‫ُﺳﻮل ا‬ ‫ ﻘﺎ ﻮا ﻳﺎ ر‬." َ ‫َﺎَوﻻ ﻧﺪا‬ ‫ﺧﺰاﻳ‬

‫ْﺮﻧﺎ‬ ‫ ﻤ‬،َ َ ‫َﺮ‬ َ
Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said to them, "Welcome! O people (or O
‫ﺎر‬
ِ‫ و ﻨﻨﺎ و ﻨﻚ ﻫﺬا اﻟ ِﻣﻦ ﻛﻔ‬،‫ِام‬ ‫ِﺮ ا‬‫ِ ﺷﻬ‬ ‫ِإﻻ‬
delegation of 'Abdul Qais)! Neither will you have disgrace َ
َُ َْ ْ ُْ َ َ ُ ْ
ْ َْ َ
nor will you regret." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (‫!)ﷺ‬ ‫ِﻦ‬ ‫ﻮهَﻋ‬ ُ ‫َوﺳﺄ‬.‫ِﻪ اَﻨﺔ‬ ‫َوﻧﺪﺧﻞِﺑ‬،‫اءﻧﺎ‬ َ‫َر‬‫ْﻦَو‬ ‫ِﻪَﻣ‬‫ِْﺑ‬ ِ ٍ ٍ‫ِﺄ‬
، ‫ﻞ‬‫ﺼ‬ ‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺑ‬
َ ‫ْﻢ ﺑ‬ ُ َ

ْ‫ْﻢ ﺑ‬ َ
ََُ َْ َ
We cannot come to you except in the sacred month and
َ ََ ‫َﺮﻫ‬
there is the infidel tribe of Mudar intervening between you ِ‫ِﺎ‬ ‫ﺎن ﺑ‬ِ‫ﺎﻹﻳﻤ‬ِِ‫ أ ﺮﻫ‬،‫ و ﻬﺎﻫﻢ ﻦ أرٍﻊ‬،‫ِﺄرٍﻊ‬ ‫ ﻓﺄ‬.‫اﻷِِﺔ‬

ُ‫ُﺳﻮ‬ ُ َ َْ َُ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ
َ َُ َ ْ
and us. So please order us to do something good
‫ ﻗﺎ ﻮا اَُو‬." ‫ُه‬
‫َر‬ ‫ِﺎَِوﺣﺪ‬ ‫ﻳﻤﺎن ﺑ‬ ‫اﻹ‬
ِ ‫ ﻗﺎل " أﺗﺪرون ﻣﺎ‬.‫وﺣﺪه‬

ُ ًََ َُ ََْ َ ََ َ ََ َ
(religious deeds) so that we may inform our people whom
we have left behind (at home), and that we may enter
َُ
‫ﺎم‬ ‫ِﻗ‬‫َو‬، ِ‫ُﺳﻮل ا‬ ‫ِﻻ اَُوأن ﻤﺪا ر‬ ‫َِ إ‬
ُ
‫َﻬﺎدة أن ﻻ إ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎل " ﺷ‬.‫ُﻢ‬
ْ
‫أ ﻋﻠ‬
َ ْْ ُْْ َ ََََُ َ َ َ
‫َﻦ اَﻤﻐﻨ‬ ‫ُﻄﻮاِﻣ‬ ‫َوأن ﻌ‬،‫َ ﻀﺎن‬ ‫َو‬،‫ﺎء ا ﺰِة‬ ُ‫َو ﻳﺘ‬،‫ِة‬
Paradise (by acting on them)." Then they asked about
drinks (what is legal and what is illegal). The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬
‫ِﻢ‬ ‫ِﺻﻴﺎم ر‬ ِ ‫ا ﺼﻼ‬
ْ َ ْ
ْ ََ َ َ َُ َ ْ
ordered them to do four things and forbade them from .‫ﺖ‬ َُ
ِ‫ِءَواِﻘَِوا ﻤﺰﻓ‬ ‫ِﻢَوا ﺑﺎ‬ ‫ِﻦ اَﻨﺘ‬ ‫ْرٍﻊ ﻋ‬ ‫ْﻢ ْﻦ أ‬ ‫َو ﻬﺎﻫ‬." ‫َﺲ‬ ‫ُﻤ‬ُ ‫ا‬
four things. He ordered them to believe in Allah Alone and

ْ ُُ َ َ
ْ َ َ َ َ ْ َ
asked them, "Do you know what is meant by believing in ." ‫اء ْﻢ‬ ‫ْﻦَور‬ ‫ِﻬﻦَﻣ‬ ‫ُ وا ﺑ‬
ِ ِ‫َوﻗﺎل " اﺣﻔﻈﻮﻫﻦَوأﺧ‬. ِ‫ُرَﻤﺎ ﻗﺎل اُﻤﻘ‬ ‫و‬
Allah Alone?" They replied, "Allah and His Apostle know
better." Thereupon the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "It means:
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but
Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬.
2. To offer prayers perfectly
3. To pay the Zakat (obligatory charity)

4. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.
5. And to pay Al-Khumus (one fifth of the booty to be
given in Allah's Cause).
Then he forbade them four things, namely, Hantam,
Dubba,' Naqir Ann Muzaffat or Muqaiyar; (These were the
names of pots in which Alcoholic drinks were prepared)
(The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ mentioned the container of wine and he
meant the wine itself). The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ further said (to
them): "Memorize them (these instructions) and convey
them to the people whom you have left behind."

(41) Chapter: What is said regarding the ‫ِﻟ‬ ‫ْﺴﺒ‬
‫ِﺔ و‬ ِ ِ ِ ‫( ﺑﺎب ﻣﺎ ﺟﺎء أن اﻷ‬41)
‫ا‬‫و‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻴ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺎل‬ ‫ﻤ‬

statement: "The reward of deeds depends
‫َﻮى‬
‫ئ ﻣﺎ ﻧ‬
ٍ‫اِﺮ‬
upon the intention and hoping to get
rewards from Allah."

‫ﻮءَوا ﺼﻼةَوا ﺰ ةَواَﺞَوا ﺼﻮ‬ ‫ُﻮﺿ‬‫اﻹﻳﻤﺎن وا‬
ِ‫ِﻪ‬‫ﻓﺪﺧﻞِ ﻴ‬

.‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِﻪ{َ ﻧ‬
‫ِِﺘ‬ ‫ِﺘ‬ ِ‫َﻤﻞَ ﺷﺎ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ }ﻗﻞ‬: ‫َوﻗﺎل اَُﻌﺎ‬

.«‫َﻬﺎَﺻﺪﻗﺔ‬
‫ِﻪ ِﺴﺒ‬ ‫ِﻞَ أﻫ‬
‫ِﻠ‬ ‫» ﻔﻘﺔ ا ﺮﺟ‬
ٌٌََ ْ َ َ:‫َﺎل‬ َ

‫»وﻟِ ﻦِﺟﻬﺎد و‬ ‫َوﻗ‬

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab: ‫ِﻦ‬ ‫ ْﻦ َ ﺑ‬،‫ِﻚ‬ ‫َ ﻧﺎ ﻣﺎ‬َ ‫ُﻦَْﺴﻠ‬
‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫َﻤﺔ‬ ِ ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺒ‬
َُ ْ ََ ْ ََ َ ََُ َ
Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "The reward of deeds
،‫َﺮ‬ ‫ ْﻦ َﻤ‬،‫ﺎص‬ ٍ‫ِﻦَوﻗ‬ ‫ ْﻦَﻋﻠﻘ‬،‫ﻴﻢ‬
‫َﻤﺔ ﺑ‬ ‫ِﻫ‬‫ْﺮا‬
‫ِإﺑ‬‫ِﻦ‬ْ ‫ ْﻦ ﻤ‬،‫ﻴﺪ‬
‫ِﺪ ﺑ‬ ٍ‫ِﻌ‬‫ﺳ‬
depends upon the intention and every person will get the

reward according to what he has intended. So whoever ‫ِﻟ‬
‫ و‬،‫ِﺔ‬
‫ِﺎ ﻴ‬‫ُﺳﻮل اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " اﻷَﻤﺎل ﺑ‬ ‫أن ر‬
َُ ُْ َ َ ُُْ َْ ْ َ َ ََ ْ
‫َﺮﺗﻪِإ‬ ‫ُﺳﻮ‬‫َر‬‫َﺮﺗﻪِإ اَِو‬ ‫َﻤﻦ ﻧﺖِﻫﺠ‬،‫َﻮى‬
emigrated for Allah and His Apostle, then his emigration
was for Allah and His Apostle. And whoever emigrated for
‫ِﻬﺠ‬‫ ﻓ‬،ِِ ‫ئ ﻣﺎ ﻧ‬ٍ‫اِﺮ‬
ََ َ ْ َ َ ُْ ُْ َْ ََ
worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration ،‫َﻬﺎ‬ ‫ُﺟ‬‫ََ و‬‫ٍة ﻳ‬ ‫ أ‬،‫ُﻬﺎ‬
‫ِو ا ﺮأ‬ ‫ِﺼﻴﺒ‬‫َﺎ ﻳ‬
ُ ‫ُﻴ‬ِ‫َﺮﺗﻪ‬‫ْﻦ ﻧﺖِﻫﺠ‬ ‫َوﻣ‬، ِ
ِ‫ُﺳﻮ‬‫َر‬
‫اَِو‬
ََ َ‫ََﻣﺎَﻫ‬ َُْ
was for what he emigrated for."

." ‫ِﻪ‬ ‫ِإ‬‫ﺎﺟﺮ‬ ‫َﺮﺗﻪ‬

Narrated Abu Mas'ud: ‫ُﻦ‬ ‫ِﺪي‬‫ِ َﻋ‬ََ‫ ﻗﺎل أﺧ‬،‫َﺔ‬‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺷﻌﺒ‬،‫ﺎل‬
ٍ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ ﺣﺠﺎج ﻦِﻣﻨﻬ‬
The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "If a man spends on his family (with

‫ﺴ‬

‫ ْﻦ أ‬،‫ِﺰ ﺪ‬

‫ﺖ ﺒﺪ اِْﻦ ﻳ‬

‫ ﻗﺎل ﺳ‬،‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﺛﺎﺑ‬

the intention of having a reward from Allah) sincerely for

َْ َ َ
Allah's sake then it is a (kind of) alms-giving in reward for ‫َﻬﺎ‬
ُ
‫ِﻪ ِﺴﺒ‬ ‫ُﺟﻞَ أﻫ‬
‫ِﻠ‬ ‫ِذا أ ﻔﻖ ا ﺮ‬
‫ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﺎل " إ‬

." ‫َﻮَُﺻﺪﻗﺔ‬

Allah's Messenger (‫)ﷺ‬ said, "You will be rewarded for

‫ﺎص أﻧﻪ أﺧ‬ٍ‫ِ وﻗ‬ ‫ِﻦ أ‬‫ِﺪ ﺑ‬ ‫ٍﺪ ْﻦَﺳﻌ‬ ‫ُﻦَﺳﻌ‬ ‫ُﺮ‬
ِ ِ ‫َﺣﺪﺛ‬
whatever you spend for Allah's sake even if it were a

ََ ْ ُ ََ َ َ َ َْ
morsel which you put in your wife's mouth." ‫َﻬﺎَوﺟﻪ‬

‫َﻖ ﻔﻘﺔ ﺗ ﺘ‬ ‫ْﻦ ﻨ‬
‫ِﻔ‬ ‫ِإﻧﻚ ﻟ‬ " ‫َﻢ ﻗﺎل‬
‫ِﻪَوﺳﻠ‬‫اَِﺻ اَُﻋﻠﻴ‬

‫ِﻦ ﺒ‬

for the following:

1. offer prayers perfectly ‫ِﺢِﻟ‬
‫ وا ﺼ‬،‫ِء ا ﺰِة‬ ‫ِﻳﺘﺎ‬
‫ و‬،‫ِة‬
‫ِﺎم ا ﺼﻼ‬‫اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢَ ِإﻗ‬
‫ُْﺴ‬
2. pay the Zakat (obligatory charity)
3. and be sincere and true to every Muslim.

Narrated Ziyad bin'Ilaqa: ،‫ِﻦِﻋﻼﻗﺔ‬ ‫ِد ﺑ‬‫ ﻦِز ﺎ‬،‫َﻮاﻧﺔ‬ ‫ ﻗﺎلَﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ ﻋ‬،‫ﺎن‬
ِ‫ﺣﺪ ﻨﺎ أﺑﻮ ا ﻌﻤ‬
َْ ُ ُْ َْ ْ ُُ َ ْ َ َْ َََُْ َ
I heard Jarir bin 'Abdullah (Praising Allah). On the day
‫َﺔ‬
‫ُﻦ ﺷﻌﺒ‬ ‫ِﻐَ ة‬‫َمَﻣﺎت اُﻤ‬ ‫َﻮ‬
‫ ﻘﻮل ﻳ‬، ِ‫ِﺪ ا‬ ‫َﻦ ﺒ‬ ‫ِﺮ ﺮ‬‫ِﻤﻌﺖ ﺟ‬ ‫ﻗﺎل ﺳ‬
when Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba died, he (Jarir) got up (on the
ََ ْ َ ْ ُْ َ َ َْ َ ْ َ َََََ
pulpit) and thanked and praised Allah and said, "Be afraid ‫ُه ﻻ‬ ‫ِء اَِوﺣﺪ‬ ‫ِﺎ ﻘﺎ‬‫ِﻪَوﻗﺎلَﻋﻠﻴ ﻢ ﺑ‬ ‫َ َﻋﻠﻴ‬ ‫ِﻤﺪ اََوأﺛ‬ ‫ﻗﺎم ﻓﺤ‬
ْ
ُ ٌَََ ْ َ ْ
ُ َ ََ َ َ َُْ ََ َ
‫ِﻴ ُﻢ‬ ‫َ ﻢأ‬ َ
of Allah alone Who has none along with Him to be
worshipped.(You should) be calm and quiet till the (new)
‫ِﺈ ﻤﺎ ﻳﺄ‬‫ﻓ‬، ِ ‫ِﻴ‬‫ِﺔ ﺣ ﻳﺄ‬ ‫ﻜﻴﻨ‬
ِ‫ﺎر وا ﺴ‬
ِ‫ وا ﻮﻗ‬، ‫ِ ﻚ‬
ََ َُ ْ ْ َََُُْ َُ ُ ْْ َ ََُ
chief comes to you and he will come to you soon. Ask ‫ ﻢ ﻗﺎل أﻣﺎ‬.‫َﻮ‬ ‫َﻌﻔ‬ ‫ِﻧﻪ نِ ﺐ اﻟ‬ ‫ ﻓﺈ‬،‫ِِ ﻢ‬ ‫َﻌﻔﻮا ﻷ‬‫ ﻢ ﻗﺎل اﺳﺘ‬،‫اﻵن‬
Allah's forgiveness for your (late) chief because he himself
ََ‫ﻚ‬ ََُ ُُْ ُ ََُْ َُ ْ
loved to forgive others." Jarir added, "Amma badu (now ‫ِﻌ‬
‫ﺖ أﺑﺎﻳ‬ ‫ﺖ اِ ﺻ اﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ ﻗﻠ‬ ‫ِﺈ أ ﻴ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬،‫َ ﻌﺪ‬
َ ََُْ ََ ُْ ُ ْ ََ َ َ َْ
‫َرب‬ ‫َو‬،‫ُﻪَ ﻫﺬا‬ ‫َﺎ ﻌﺘ‬ ‫َطَ وا ﺼ‬ َ
then), I went to the Prophet and said, 'I give my pledge of
‫ ﺒ‬.‫ٍﻢ‬
‫ِﻠ‬‫ﺴ‬ ‫ِﻟ‬‫ِﺢ‬ ‫ ﻓ‬.‫ِم‬
‫اﻹﺳﻼ‬ِ
allegiance to you for Islam." The Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬ conditioned
َََ َََْ َْ ُْ َ
ُ ٌَ َ ْ ََْ َ
(my pledge) for me to be sincere and true to every Muslim .‫ ﻢ اﺳﺘﻐﻔﺮ وﻧﺰل‬.‫ﺎﺻﺢ ﻟ ﻢ‬ ِ ‫ِإ‬ ‫ِﺪ‬‫ِﺠ‬‫ﻫﺬا ا ﻤﺴ‬
so I gave my pledge to him for this. By the Lord of this
mosque! I am sincere and true to you (Muslims). Then
Jarir asked for Allah's forgiveness and came down (from
the pulpit).
