Project Name:

Online Student Result Management System – J a v a ( J S P ) + M y SQL.

Abstract:

Today most of the result are provided offline or they are provided using desktop, stand-
alone system to manage the result. In this proposed Online Student Result Management System it
will run on internet or intranet and students can check their result online from different location via
internet. It can be used multi location also as it can be hosted in central location. The online Student
Result Management System is used to overcome the entire problem which they are facing currently,
and making complete atomization of manual or semi automatic process of student library
management system.

Advantages

Provides complete web based solution, an enhanced atomized online system is developed to
maintain the results of the students. If the students want the hard copy then they can also take the
print out of the result whenever required.

Project Scope:

From an end-user perspective, the Student Result Management System Project consists of two
functional elements: an enhanced searchable database for the students, and a report generation
system:

 Searching Results: An enhanced atomized online system is developed to maintain the

results of the student. Even after a very long period of time the students can easily
get his/her results just by entering their enrollment number.

 Report Generation: A Report Generation system will be developed for the admin and the
professors. This system will have details and summary type reports for analysis of the
student from same batch.

Login, Home Page, Search R esu lt, New User, Change Password, Reports, etc.

 Java (JSP)
 Eclipse 2020
 My SQL 8.0

Hardware Requirements:

Processor: Preferably 3.0 GHz or Greater.

RAM : 1 GB or Greater.

Limitations of the Software:

This project was developed to fulfill user requirement; however there are lots of scope to
improve the performance of the Online Student Marks Management System in the area of user
interface,database performance, and query processing time. Etc.

Future Enhancements:

 SMS and Email alert for notification.

 Integration with other legacy accounting database through Web Service.
