WESCAN SITE RULES

» All persons on worksites SHALL WEAR HARDHATS, STEEL TOED (CSA) WORK BOOTS
OR SHOES, AND SAFETY GLASSES.

» No horseplay, vandalism, the or misuse of tools or equipment. Workers shall be


subject to dismissal for gross misconduct.

» All persons exposed to high noise levels (above 80 Db) shall wear approved hearing
protec on.

» Guardrails and/or approved fall protec on equipment must be used when working at
heights over 10 feet (i.e. scaffolding, open ledges).

» Extension ladders are to be secured. Do not work off the top or highest step of
stepladders, or use them leaned against walls or equipment.

» Work areas shall be kept clean and well lit.

» Use of, or exposure to hazardous products or chemicals shall comply with WHMIS
regula ons. Use safe work instruc ons and PPE as indicated on labels and MSDS.

» Unsafe tools or equipment shall not be used on any site. Inspect all equipment prior
to daily use. Any deficient tools must be red tagged. Only operate equipment and
tools for which you are trained.

» The possession or use of alcohol or non-prescrip on drugs, or being under the


influence or a er affects, is strictly prohibited.

» Strictly no smoking indoors.

All workers shall report accidents, incidents, or unsafe condi ons to the site supervisor
or Safety Coordinator IMMEDIATELY.

not otherwise menƟoned here. If you have any concerns over
Workplace Safety, consult your Health and Safety Manual,
Handbook or ask your supervisor.
