 Ethics means do the right thing. Professional ethics are a code of conduct that govern how member of a
profession deal with each other and third parties. Lawyers have a professional code of conduct and we
need to follow those conduct for protecting our image and benefit for the societies people. As a future
lawyer I will try to follow all of the conduct of ethic. Our clients expect us to take them untruth to truth,
darkness to light. I will not misuse their expectation. The legal profession is not about making money, it
is about helping the people to reaching the justice. We know honesty is the best policy and should be an
essential policy for we lawyers. Suppose I am a seller selling cloths to the customers, now how will I
communicate with them in which manner I will deal with customers depends on me. If I give respect,
listen carefully their needs, I can be able to retain them and they will be attracting towards me. I will
follow this method in my future profession. If I do not behave well with clients, do not hear them
carefully, if I do not follow their instructions properly. I will faced loss in my professional life, my
customer rating will go down. Nobody will come to me for taking help. So good behavior and giving
respect is important. In this field to maintain a level of competence not take cases that his beyond
expertise. Maintain truthfulness in statements to other and not to communicate with opposite parties.
Lawyers provides some pro bono legal service and otherwise to contribute to the legal community and
society in general. I will be trying to do this same. Most of the people of Bangladesh are poor, they have
very little knowledge about the lawyer and justice. For this reason, many of them could not be able to
get justice. I will help them to get proper justice by taking less fees from those backdated and poor
people. I will not make the case lengthy for my own benefit. If the case has become lengthy those poor
people need to come to the court according to the courts given date. Only for this reason they damage
finically, they lost attraction and believe for lawyers and justice. So, I won’t do this never. I will take fees
according to the client’s financial situation because many people of Bangladesh are extremely poor as
we know it. I will explain my clients about the position of case, merits and demerits of the case. If I lost
the case, I would explain it to my client’s exact reason of losing the case so that they could make
satisfied, no hesitation would not be remained in their mind. It is important to maintain a good
friendship with opponent lawyer. Because we are not enemy, we are same specious. Before taking any
case, I should take that case within my ability, I need to have the courage to argue for cases to convince
the judge. For all of this I need to have all types of knowledge of law and keep learning is important to
become a good and ethical lawyer. If I n don’t have clear idea about the specific case how could I fight
for my clients’ victory. Maintain confidentiality is vey much important. I should mai9ntain clear
accounts, will received money from clients as required. I will not withdraw from a case without notice
and reasonable cause. I shall not give instruction to the opposite party, shall not disclose any discussion
between me and clients to others. If I become a lawyer its my duty to for see what is coming next, what
will be the next counter attack of opponent lawyer, which type of question can be come from judge,
what can be the judgements etc.
