HISTORY OF SIDDIPET :
• Siddipet, a town in the Siddipet District, is renowned for its ancient religious
attractions like temples, mosques and churches as well as historical monuments
like Lal Kaman and Burj.
• The Yerra Cheruvu and Komati Cheruvu, tributaries of the Manjira River, flow
through the region.
• Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister KT Rama Rao
and Finance Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated the Ranganayaka Sagar project on
the outskirts of Siddipet district.
DEMOGRAPHIC LOCATION :

• Siddipet is a Town and Mandal in Medak district of Telangana state in India.

DRINKING WATER AND SANITATION :

home and curbing the use of plastic, the District Administration of Siddipet in
Telangana has launched a Swachha Badi (Cleanliness School).

WATER TREATMENT IN SIDDIPET :

• Effluent treatment plant (ETP) :

Effluent treatment plant –ETP is a method that is
used to treat the emanation coming out from
many areas of the plant. The treatment of the
effluent is done on the basis of the type effluent.
 STP WATER CLARIFIER :

The clarifier separation the treated slurry from

clean water. The sludge settels down and clean
water at the top flows down to the cooling
tower from where it content in this water must
not be greater than 100ppm.
 STP WATER AIRATION TANK :

The aeration tank (together with the settling

tank/clarifier that follows) is at the heart of
treatment system. The bulk of the treatment is
provided here, employing microbes/ bacteria
for the process.
DISINFECTION :

Water disinfection means the removal,

deactivation or killing of pathogenic
microorganisms. Microorganisms are
destroyed or deactivated, resulting in
termination of growth and reproduction.
When microorganisms are not removed from
drinking water, drinking water usage will
cause people to fall ill.
