Rational numbers can be expressed by a fraction. Irrational can

3. What are properties of exponents; how to simplify expressions?


Product of powers= when multiplying two exponents with the same base, you
can add the exponents and keep the base.
power to a power= just have to multiply the exponents.
quotient of powers= dividing two powers with the same base is the same as
subtracting the exponent of the denominator from the exponent of the numerator and
raising the base to that power.
power of product= multiplying the exponents and keeping the same base.
