Identification Policy
It is your responsibility to read and understand the ID requirements in the GRE Bulletin
or at www.ets.org/gre/idrequirements. A valid ID with your name, signature and

citizenship and where you plan to test. If you arrive at the test center without the

Reschedule/Cancel Policy
You must reschedule or cancel your test registration no later than four days prior to
your test date or your test fee will be forfeited. Review all reschedule and cancellation
policies at www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/register/change.
You can take the GRE General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any
continuous rolling 12-month period (365 days). This applies even if you cancelled your
scores on a test taken previously. You may take the paper-delivered GRE General Test
and GRE Subject Tests as often as they are offered.
TEST PREPARATION MATERIALS
Two free POWERPREP® Online practice tests are available to help you prepare for the
computer-delivered GRE General Test. To order the practice tests, go to “Shop for Test
Preparation” in your ETS Account and add the free POWERPREP™ Online practice tests
to your cart. View more information about the POWERPREP practice tests, including
system requirements and frequently asked questions.
SENDING SCORES
With the ScoreSelect® option, you can decide which GRE® scores from your reportable
history to send to the institutions you designate. Knowing you'll have the option to send
the GRE scores that you feel reflect your personal best can help you approach test day
with more confidence. To learn more about how to send your most recent scores, all
scores, or any scores within your reportable history, visit www.ets.org/gre/scoreselect.
GRE® Subject Tests are an excellent way for you to demonstrate your knowledge in
specific subject areas and to help strengthen your graduate school application. Subject
Tests are available in 6 disciplines: Biology; Chemistry; Literature in English;
Mathematics; Physics; and Psychology. If you're majoring in, or have extensive
background in one these disciplines, you should consider taking a GRE Subject Test in
addition to the GRE® General Test. To learn more, visit www.ets.org/gre/subject.
