ABSTRACT

This is a research paper on the study of the film MONEYBALL which was released in the
year 2011, directed by Bennett Miller, starring Brad pitt as the lead. The film, adapted
from the book by Michael Lewis, is based on the true story of how the Oakland Athletics
(A's) reinvented if not the game of baseball itself, then the game of baseball team
management. Brad Pitt as Billy Beane and Jonah Hill as Peter Brand in 2011
movie Moneyball. The movie had 20+ nominations and 8 wins in various categories from
renowned award pageants. The movie has also had a box office collection of 11.2crores

Based on my understandings of the literature, my overview about the reviews given is that the
film has created a deepest impact in everyone. While we read the reviews we can clearly state
that most of them retype the dialogues from the movie. The viewers state that this not just a film
alone to watch but that shows how the small can give tough competition for the big. Many feels
that this film has actually made them to practically think on the strategy and also most feels that
they where been given with an option whether it is at 18 or at 40. The viewers also state that the
film was captured more being like a reality way rather than a dram one. The viewers also
mentions that the sport is not just playing the game alone but it involves with lots of math,

On the whole with both insights of myself and with reference to the literature, I can sum up that
the film has created an exceptional thought on the minds of the viewers. The director has dug in
deep with the content so as to not give out just a drama content film rather a lively one. He
worked rightly on the selection of the right cast and crew. The picturization of the entire film had
carried out the movie viewers though out. The film will have a connect to everyone’s life
irrespective to any age category between 8yrs to 80yrs. In a line, this is a must watch film and
the viewers must only look at the film without any distraction.
