b) Connect dots to form star patterns.
c) Appreciate star patterns.

1. Greetings

“Good Morning, class”

“Good morning, Ma’am”

2. Prayer

“Ok, before we start please stand up and pray


to be led by ____________”

(__________ will lead the prayer)

“Kindly arrange your chairs and pick-up the


pieces of trash under your seats”

“Yes Ma’am”

“Okay you may take a sit”

(Pupils will do the command)

3. Checking of attendance

“Is there any absent today Ms. Jena?”

“No one is absent today, Ma’am”

“I am happy that there is no absent today, so


that all of you will be able to learn our new
lesson”

B. Review of the past lesson

“All right before we move on to our next


topic, let’s have a recap on what we’ve been
discussed last meeting”

“What are the four phases of the moon?”

“The four phases of the moon are new moon,


waxing crescent moon, waning gibbous moon
and full moon Ma’am”

“Now, group your class into two. Each group


will form the four phases of the moon using
the picture puzzle pieces that I will give for
each group. The first group that will have the
right answers will be the winner”

(The students will do the activity.)

Congratulations for both groups. Both of you


answered correctly and let’s give three big
claps for the first group who answered
correctly.

(The pupils will clap their hands)

C. Motivation

“When you look at the sky at night, what do


you see?”

“Moon and stars Ma’am”

“What can you observe in the stars?”

“Some of them are bright. Some of them are not


that bright.”

“We see different shapes.”

“We see different animals, objects and other


things.”

“Do you have any idea what a constellation is?”

“Constellation are group of stars in the sky.”

“Constellation are star patterns.”

“Observe the picture in front.”

“Can you please connect the dots ____?

(The student will connect the dots)

“Thank you. Are you familiar with this


pattern?”

“Yes ma’am”

“What is this pattern?”

“It’s the Big Dipper Ma’am”

“ It’s the first pattern on stars we see in the night


sky”

“ It consists of 7 stars”

“Small dipper look like big dipper too but


smaller.”

“Very good. Now let’s take a look at its actual


picture in the sky”

“What can you observe in the picture?”

“It looks like a spoon.”


“It looks like a pan”
“It looks like a kite”

“Why do you think it’s called the big dipper?

“Because it looks like a big dipper.

“Very good!”

“Group yourself again into two. I will give each


of you a piece of paper. Each group will have
different paper. Don’t share your paper to the
other group.”

“Pretend you are looking at the sky and these


dots are the stars. Connect the dots tell me what
do you see.”

E. Generalization:
Group 1 will connect the dots and form a bird.
Group 2 will connect the dots and form a
horse.
