PUBLIC LIBRARY CUM PUBLIC PARK:

Introduction:
A library is a room or building containing balanced collection of data and information in
the form of books, journals, archives and even recorded audio visual material for use of borrowing
by public for a certain period of time.

With the changing times and as a result of digitalization and worldwide webbing , the
treasury and the temple of knowledge is losing the importance of having the primary role of a
traditional library.

Aim:
To understand the role of the public library not only as a storage of books for the individual
development but also in terms of community growth.

To design the public library and make it accessible and more functional through creating a
well defined park spaces which enhances the public to use it completely.

Objective:
To achieve individual as well as community learning and also meets the education needs of
the children and young generations.

To create a community space that gather people of all age groups and abilities and
encourage literacy among them and acquisition of new skills.

To make the library more sociable ,introducing new level academic exercises like
workshops,refresher courses,seminars, book festivals are to be done.

The main focus is to blend the design with nature and to provide a visually retreat to the
users.

Scope:
The study covers the need of the library in rapidly changing urban context by
understanding the necessities of various grades of the society.

This study focuses on how a public park serves a important aspect for the accessibility of
an public library.

Area : 27 acres

As the site is near to the eductional and housing units it helps for the public to access it easily.
