Crate believes that all employees work best in an environment that is drug free. Usage of
any alcohol or drugs during operating hours is not tolerated and will subjected to
disciplinary action
Crate recognizes that use of the Internet, e-mail, and social media is necessary in the
workplace, and employees are encouraged to use the Internet, e-mail, and social media to
market products and services to other firms, and the consumers, offer coupon codes and
upcoming promotions for our products, and give hints to our new products that we will be
releasing to the market.
V. Employee Performance
A) Performance Evaluations:
To assist each employee in reaching his/her full potential, the CEO will conduct a
Performance Review on a bimonthly basis. The purpose of the performance review is to
analyze the employee’s performance and to develop a plan to continue to improve
performance. Performance evaluations will be conducted bi-monthly as your productivity
is recorded. The administrative team will work closely in monitoring work performance.
After each executive completes their department’s evaluations, each department head will
select an employee of the month. On the last Monday of each month the executives will
select the employee during their meeting. However, the entire company will submit to HR
their personal selection for employee of the month. The CEO will make the final choice.
Employees can only be the employee of the month once.

C) Invaluable Work Ethic:
Expected work ethic includes holding a professional and neat work environment as well
as a positive attitude every day. Wasting time and company money is not tolerated and
will result in disciplinary action.
D) Professional Development:
We at Crate provide professional development training opportunities allowing our staff to
build their confidence in the work that they do. It also helps them to build credibility as
they continue to gain new skill sets and certificates.
6
B) Conflict Resolution:
When two employees or more in the workplace do not get along, or cause a conflict,
measures will be taken based on how serious the conflict is. Conflict resolution involves
HR, or any other supervisor talking to both sides of the conflict and coming up with a
reasonable compromise and filling out the Crate Conflict Resolution Agreement Sheet
and signed by all parties that were involved in the conflict and it will be sent to HR to be
archived.
A) Payroll:
Employees work to a standard of 5-8 hours a week without compensation for overtime.
Employees will be paid bi-monthly on the 15th and last day of every month. Bonuses will
be provided to the Employee of the month.
B) Retirement Planning:
We at crate offer our employees a Retirement plan by using 401(K). 401k contributions
are taken before income taxes, leaving the employee with a lesser gross income. To
calculate the income tax in your paycheck employees will have the option to decide on
how much money goes into their 401(K) contributions and value from every payroll
period. As of right now Crate will not be matching people’s contribution. Employees can
keep these perks after quitting or being fired while waiting for vesting periods to end.
A) General Attendance:
Each employee is expected to arrive at the workplace prepared, and if you take a personal
day, sick day , or Covid leave you need call our company phone number which is (516)
971-3497 or filling out the Personal Day Off sheet and get it filled out by a supervisor
when taking these and note that you will not get paid if you take off from work. All
employees will be given 7 personal days, 7 sick days, and 14 days if you have Covid, and
it will be reset every semester.
7
B) Personal day:
Taking a personal day means that you can come into work for that day because maybe
you have jury duty, emergency, or any other things.
C) Tardiness:
For every three class periods an employee is tardy and they will receive an absence as a
consequence after 9 tardy days you will meet with the human resources department to
find a solution as well as penalization for your repeated tardiness.
Sick Days can only happen when you can’t make it into the office because of an illness,
injury, or disability. Employees will be given 7 sick days per semester, and if you have
Covid-19 then you will receive a mandatory 14 day quarantine. All of these will reset
after each semester.
