American Business Woman’s Association-Cape Cod Charter Chapter Scholarship


Eligibility Requirements:
Woman who are U.S. citizens and residents of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket/ Scholarship is one
time only and not renewable. Available to students who will be at least second semester level by August 2008
and who are attending or have been accepted at an accredited college, vocational or technical school. Must
have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale or verification of achievement.

Air Force ROTC

The Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship Program provides 3- and 4-year scholarships in three different
types to high school seniors. The application process is the same for each type.
The In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP) is open to college freshmen and sophomores in any major. The
program is divided into two selection phases and awards Type 2 (tuition capped at $15,000 per year), Type 3
(tuition capped at $9,000 per year) or Type 6 (tuition capped at $3,000 per year) scholarships for 2 or 3 years.

Apply now for the scholars program designed to be a catalyst for African American, Hispanic/Latino and
American Indian students seeking to pursue undergraduate college degrees in chemical sciences and chemical
technology. The amount of each individual award will depend upon the availability of funding, the number of
scholarships awarded, and evidence of financial need. Scholarships will be given up to a maximum of $3,000

Army Emergency Relief

AER is a private nonprofit organization incorporated in 1942 by the Secretary of War and the Army Chief of
Staff. AER's sole mission is to help soldiers and their dependents.

AER is the Army's own emergency financial assistance organization and is dedicated to "Helping the Army
Take Care of Its Own". AER provides commanders a valuable asset in accomplishing their basic command
responsibility for the morale and welfare of soldiers.
AER funds are made available to commanders having AER Sections to provide emergency financial assistance
to soldiers - active & retired - and their dependents when there is a valid need.

AER funds made available to commanders are not limited and are constrained only by the requirement of valid
need.

For these reasons, the AER assistance program is conducted within the Army structure by major commanders
and their installation/organization commanders through AER sections and other related organizations.

Combined Jewish Philanthropies Scholarship Fund

The Executive Leadership Council


Annually, the competition provides 10 scholarships and mentoring opportunities to undergraduate students who
write award-winning essays on an assigned business topic. Awardees also take part in weeklong Honors

John Gyles Education Awards

John Gyles Education Awards are available each year to students in both Canada and the United States. They
are the result of a private, benevolent endeavor established in 1990. Those selected will receive up to
$3,000.00. Several scholarships are awarded directly to students and a list of recipients is available at the end of

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving
sons and daughters of current or former United States Marines in their pursuit of higher education. We also
provide a very limited number of scholarships to children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with
Marines. One-year scholarships (ranging from $1,000 -$10,000) are awarded annually and are limited to
undergraduate studies at accredited educational and/or technical institutions. Our "Heroes Tribute
Scholarships" (of up to $20,000 over four years) are given to the children of Marines and the children of Navy
Corpsmen serving with the Marines whose parent is killed in the ongoing Global War on Terror. Current

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF)

National Federation of the Blind

Each year the NFB gives a broad array of thirty scholarships to recognize achievement by blind scholars. All
applicants for these scholarships:

Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants


The Carl W. Christiansen Scholarship and The Cheryl A. Ruggiero Scholarship is available to
undergraduate/graduate students majoring in accounting.
In 2007, the RI Society of CPAs awarded $9,400 in Christiansen Scholarships and $1,200 for the recently
established Cheryl A. Ruggiero Scholarship.

The Cheryl A. Ruggiero Scholarship was established in 2005 for women accounting students interested in
pursuing a career in public accounting. A formal scholarship presentation will take place at the RI Society’s
Annual Dinner in April.
