Subject + have / has + past participle

Past participles

Sometimes the past and the past


participle are the same.

eg. buy – bought – bought

Sometimes the inf, the past and


the past participle are the same.

eg. cost – cost – cost

Sometimes the inf, past and the past


participle are all different.

eg. write – wrote – written

There is always a connection between the past and the present ( now).

If there is no connection, you put past simple.

Have you ever means in all your life until now

Difference between present perfect and past simple

Imagine it's 11.30 am. It's still the morning. Imagine it's 7pm. It's the evening.
