Dear Sir,
Good day!
I wrote a letter to express my sincere intention to apply for the Educational Assistance
for college students being offered by your good office.
I am Allan Benavente Balute currently residing at Zone-6 Binitayan, Malilipot, Albay. I
am 21 years old and an incoming fourth year college student taking up Bachelor of
Elementary Education at San Jose Community College. I choose this course because I
strongly believe that in Education I can overcome Poverty and I want to help my fellow
youth by inspiring them to become a leader. I am dedicated to lift my family in poverty. I
am a student who is willing to finish my degree even my parents can’t fully support my
financial needs. In this day of pandemic it’s really hard for me to cope with my studies
because of the online class and other media platforms that is being used in studying. I
have no laptop, computer, and most especially Wi-Fi connection that can use for the
online class. Last year I leaved my parent resident in Bacacay, Albay because they can’t
sustain me financially in my studies because we are two college students. So, I decided
to live in my grandmother house in Binitayan, Malilipot, Albay. I really felt the struggle
because it’s really hard that I don’t have internet connection to adopt in the new style of
learning. Sometimes I can’t attend in the online class because I don’t have the
connection. I really felt sad of it, but I just make it as my motivation to fight for my
dreams. Sometimes, I really felt the pity and sadness to see my grandmother to do all
the work just to support me financially. So I’m taking this opportunity to knock in your
benevolence heart to help me in my financial expenses and in my online class in school.
Experiencing all of this makes me eager to pursue more in studying. I’m really grateful
and thankful to have this opportunity. That will be a big help for me to finish my studies
and help my family to overcome poverty.
