Assumptions
1. The supply and installation of PV arrays in 248 health facilities will take place in Mauritius
rather than in Pakistan.

2. The site survey will require the project manager of each team to visit 3 to 4 health facilities
per day to inspect roof conditions, wind speed, etc. 13 teams will be made. Therefore, it will
take approximately 5 days to complete site survey.

3. 352 PV systems need to be installed at 248 health facilities. Teams of seven are made
whereby each team consists of an electrical engineer, a mechanical engineer, one electrician,
one technician and 2 workmen and a project manager.

 226 small health facilities (dispensaries, etc) - 1 solar array per health facility
 22 large hospitals- 5 solar arrays per hospital
Each system takes 7 days to complete. Number of days to complete 248 systems with only 1
team is 248x7=1736 days. Number of days to complete 248 systems with 13 teams is 134 days.
The installations over 134 days are divided into four job parts:

a) Roofing- Structural engineer and workmen (1 day per system) (19 days for 248 systems
by 13 teams)
b) Structural installations- Mechanical engineers, workmen and technician (2 days per
system) (39 days for 248 systems)
c) Electrical installations- Electrician, workmen and technician (2 days per system) (39 days
for 248 systems)
d) Online remote monitoring systems- Software engineer (2 days per system) (39 days for
248 systems)

4. Materials (PV arrays, batteries, etc) are imported from YYYYY and take about 23 days to
reach Mauritius in containers.

5. Working days exclude Saturdays and Sundays.
