PRODUCT DATA SHEET

ZINFOS 340 WS
Available in - brushing/roller and spraying grades
INTENDED USE
DECORATION OF BUILDINGS A solvent borne high performance anti-corrosive high
performance one coat, multi surface, self priming mid sheen topcoat (50%gloss). Two grades
are available, both have high opacity and will obliterate in ‘one coat’ in most colours: Brushing
- for application by brush or roller and Spraying - for application by airless spray.
VOC classification 2004/42/(CatA /i).
Typical uses are the internal commercial decoration of factory walls and ceilings –
covers in one coat and saves 50% in labour time when painting older property containing
a mixture of substrates, steel, old galvanised, asbestos, timber, blockwork and previously
painted surfaces.
ARTICLES INSIDE BUILDINGS - but which are out of scope of the VOC Product Directive.
Typical uses are to coat machinery, process steelwork, fixed plant, and portable equipment
with a tough ‘one coat’ polyurethane anti corrosive mid sheen finish, resistant to spillage of
most cutting oils and chemicals.

METAL FINISHING A low odour, low VOC, high flash point, medium high solids, ‘one coat
anti corrosive’ semi-gloss finish (50% gloss) available in a brushing and spraying grade.
Designed for use in poorly ventilated paint shops, or any application where odour is a
problem, often used for painting large items in an open yard.
Typical applications include portable accommodation units, containers, metal stillages,
storage tanks, waste containers, farm buildings, and original equipment.
Because of its high opacity and excellent application characteristics the ‘Brushing’ grade is
particularly recommended for use over Zinfos 630 / 490 / 250 when striping portable
accommodation units.
See also the Manor supplementary information sheet ’ Guide to the UK VOC legislation’
to understand how the VOC content of a coating determines its suitability for use in any
application.

SUITABLE SUBSTRATES Can be applied directly to many surfaces, see above, they must be dry, sound and free
from dirt, dust, rust and grease. For ferrous metal ideally blast clean, where this is not
AND PREPARATION
possible ensure the metal is adequately manually prepared. For new, unweathered
external non ferrous metals pre-treat with: Manor Wash Primer for aluminium, and alloys
and Manor 1 Pack Etch Primer CT for galvanised surfaces.

AVAILABILITY Brushing in 5 litres Spraying in 20 litre pails.

An extensive range of colours is available from the MANORMIX scheme.
