Renewable Energy Project Associate


Overview
Allotrope Partners is an international clean energy advisory firm with the mission to accelerate the transition to a
sustainable energy future. Allotrope is headquartered in the United States, with key staff based in Indonesia, the
Philippines, Vietnam, and other Asian markets. Through public-private collaboration initiatives, Allotrope
facilitates sharing key private sector insights with government decision-makers to ensure policy frameworks
encourage clean energy investment and accelerate the deployment of renewables.

Position Description
Allotrope seeks a Renewable Energy Project Associate to support the firm’s various operations in Indonesia. This
role will primarily involve implementation of Allotrope’s public-private collaboration initiatives, including program
management and stakeholder engagement, as well as communications and new business development.

This position will report to the Managing Director of Allotrope Indonesia and the Senior Director of Allotrope’s
Advisory Practice in the U.S., while also coordinating activities closely with Allotrope’s various partners and
stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Program Management and Implementation
● Support a range of Allotrope advisory activities in Indonesia, including public-private collaboration
initiatives and other projects in coordination with Allotrope’s global team.
● In support of the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA) Indonesia program, carry out the program's
work plans and activities, including but not limited to building and maintaining relationships with CEIA
Indonesia's networks and partners; coordinating meetings and programmatic events; and conducting
renewable energy research and analysis.
● Support ongoing engagement with PT PLN (Persero), the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources,
other relevant government ministries, and a range of public and private sector stakeholders.
● Track the latest developments in Indonesia’s clean energy sector.
● Contribute to developing deliverables and reports for all relevant grants, contracts, and workstreams in
coordination with members of Allotrope’s advisory team and subcontractors.
Business Development
● Identify grants, contracts, and other advisory opportunities to deepen and advance Allotrope’s clean
energy and finance initiatives in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
● Support outreach to clients and donors.
● Represent the firm at events and meetings.
● Develop concept notes and grant proposals for scaling Allotrope’s impact in Southeast Asia’s sustainable
energy ecosystem.
Communications
● Develop briefings, presentations, and other materials summarizing clean energy analysis and key
takeaways from public-private dialogues.
● Develop written and oral communications products to showcase key results and successes of Allotrope
Indonesia’s programs.
Operations Management
● Facilitate meetings to coordinate activities among the Allotrope team and partners.
● Support other Allotrope advisory or project development activities as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
● Legally able to work in Indonesia
● Bachelor’s degree in energy management, energy economics, finance, economics, engineering, international
affairs, environmental studies, sustainability, business, or a related field of study
● Five to eight years of professional working experience in the energy field
● Minimum three years of experience working with governments, civil society, and/or private sector entities
● Previous experience with stakeholder engagement, organizing meetings, and an understanding of
Indonesia’s energy sector
● Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks
● Prior experience working with a diverse, international English-speaking team and ability to provide
thorough and regular written and verbal communications with an international team
● Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
● Comfortable speaking in front of groups
● Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English

Preferred Qualifications:
● Understanding and familiarity with Indonesia’s energy and electricity landscape from both the demand
and supply perspectives
● Understanding and familiarity with industrial estates and special economic zones
● Existing networks relevant to Indonesia’s energy industry, commercial and industrial businesses, and
industrial estates
● Experience working, connecting, and dealing with companies, corporations, and other large industries in
Indonesia

Compensation
