Parassala Grama Panchayat in the financial year 20lt-2019
implemented two projects under the MGNREGS scheme

The above cited projects were approved by the District panchayat
Thiruvananthapuram vide approval No: 1(a) 13 dated 26-09-2018

The District panchayat apprehended its approval under section 13 (2) (a)
of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (hereafter
Act).The Parassala Block panchayat also approved and forwarded to the
District panchayat under section 13 (3) (a) of the Act. The aforesaid
projects are permissible under the provisions of the Act.
 The monitoring visit was conducted during the before
stase of the
project' There was no instruction either wriuen or
irliral form for the
stoppage of the aforesaid projects. Later, after the
completion of the work a
report was communicated that the projects are not permissible.

Grama panchayat acted and implemented the projects in

accordance with
the provisions of the Act. Prioi approval was obtained
and project was
implemented in accordance with the provisions of the
Act.
The actual expenditure for the projects are

A direction was communicated to the panchayat that an

amount of Rs 500000/- (1614006004rwc/33n5;) nr'-iooooor_
(1614006004/wc1337390) to be recovered from
the.".porriut. plrson. in
the panchayat level and remit it in the SEGF.

A' th-r Grama panchayat level no functionaries are responsible and

cannot be recovered. The subject matter has been
discussed in oetait by the
panchayat committee and a resorution was
taken as No: rrr) and 1(2)
dated 06-07-2019 to that effect.

The panchayat commiftee decided not to recover

the amount as per the
resolution cited in Ref (2) and (3). Hence the
specified amount cannot be
remitted in the SEGF.

The projects are implemented in accordance

with the provisions of
the Act and the objectives of the pro.lects have
