Experiment # 1
Title:
To study the degree of freedom of RV-2AJ Mitsubishi robotic arm.
Objective:
The objectives to perform this experiment would be:
Degree of freedom:
Degree of freedom is the number of independent directional parameters in which a body can freely
moves.
Robotic arm: A robotic arm is electromechanical equipment that can perform a desired function.
A robotic arm has three major components:
1. Basic motor
2. Teach pendent.
3. End effectors
Basic motor:
Motors are one of the primary mechanisms by which robots move. Some motors can be attached to
wheels that drive a robot around.
Teach pendent:
A control box for programming the motions of a robot. Also called a "teach box," the robot is set to
"learning" or "teach" mode, and the pendant is used to control the robot step by step.
End effectors:
An End effector is any device that affects the environment. Robots control their effectors, which are
also known as end effectors. Effectors include legs, wheels, arms, fingers.

Experiment # 2
Title:
To study the operation of a FESTO robotic work cell.
Objectives:
This experiment would be performed to achieve following objectives:
Construction:
The robot cell is completely mounted on an aluminum profile plate. The robot controller is neatly
housed in the frame. The station is equipped with a main switch and additional control panel. The safety
concept for the cell includes doors with a safety switch and an emergency stop mushroom actuator.
Sensors:
Different types of sensors used in FESTO robotic arm work cell for different purposes:
In focus:
Festo sensors Increased cycle times, better process control, shorter downtimes.
