(Slogan Explanation)

In using sports facilities and equipment, we should always be pleasant and respect
other’s proximity (personal space). Being pleasant allows us to connect with other
people and build meaningful relationships. So, everyone will feel connected and more
willing to cooperate. Also, being pleasant improves relationships and health, broadening
our minds and perspective. We never know what someone is going through, so we
should always be pleasant.

Furthermore, it's polite to give others as much space as possible. Aside from being
dangerous for both you and the other person, we all know that it's not the most
comfortable feeling to try. It is not only uncomfortable, but it's dangerous. Hence, no
matter how many people we're battling, we should still make an effort to respect
everyone's proximity.
Gyms get crowded, especially during the first few months of the year. But no matter how
many people you're battling, you should still make an effort to respect everyone's
personal space. 

Can't get to a bench on Monday night? Too bad. Don't stand 20 cm away from the person who has one,
ready to pounce. and blast out some biceps curls while there's a guy less than a metre away attempting
power cleans.

Gyms can get busy, but it's polite to give other gym-goers as much space as
you can. Try not to get on a bike or treadmill right next to someone if other
machines are open. If you do have to squeeze in your cardio next to another
person, keep your eyes on your own machine, TV screen, and workout stats.
Your neighbor doesn't want you watching over his or her shoulder!
Similar gym etiquette rules apply in the weight room: Keep a wide berth
around the heavy lifters to keep them (and yourself) safe. You also want to
stay out of their line of sight; while this may seem counterintuitive, it's
distracting to weightlifters when they notice someone close to their bench or
bar. 

And regardless of where you are, don't flirt with others who are trying to
exercise. The gym is a great place to meet new people, but it should also be
a safe space to work out, not a place where people worry about being
harassed.

 Do not crowd or hover around others. In an effort to accommodate all


the needs of members, fitness facilities attempt to incorporate a wide
variety of equipment while balancing that against space needed to
move and exercise freely. For the safety of you and those around you,
provide ample space for everyone, following the social distancing rule
of 6 feet.
 Avoid getting in the habit of performing exercises while standing at the
dumbbell rack. Un-rack your weight(s) and take a couple of steps back
so others may continue to have access to the weights.
