EFC MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM

The principal objective of the EFC is to contribute to the general advancement of the science of corrosion and the protection of
materials by promoting cooperation in Europe between scientific and technical societies and organizations and by collaboration
with similar scientific and technical societies and organisations throughout the world. Subject to the approval of the EFC Board of
Administrators and the EFC General Assembly, full membership of the EFC is available to organisations that are not-for-profit,
have legal status and support the above objective, in the following categories:
1) European Membership is available within the full member states of the Council of Europe;
2) International Membership is available in all other countries (subject to the support of three European Member Societies in

good standing ).

EFC Member Societies qualify for a number of important benefits, which include the following:
• Appoint members to EFC Working Parties;
• Opportunities to nominate individuals for the EFC Awards and for election to the EFC Committees (BoA and STAC);
• Discount on exhibitor booth and reduced registration fees for the society's members at the EFC annual EUROCORR Conference;
• Discounted prices to their members on all EFC publications;
• Access by their members to the restricted area containing the electronic proceedings of past EUROCORR Conferences;
• Participation of a society representative in the EFC General Assembly (with voting rights);
• Organisation of events with EFC endorsement and logo, including promotion in the EFC Newsletter and on the EFC Website;
• Free promotional write-ups of society's corrosion-related events and activities in the EFC Newsletter;
• Availability of General Membership of the World Corrosion Organisation (WCO) at no additional cost subject to formal application
and the approval of the WCO Board of Administrators and the WCO General Assembly.
In addition, European Member Societies may submit bids to host the EUROCORR Conference.
The membership fee 2018 is EUR 1,690 + VAT. A reduced membership fee (50% off) will be offered during the first two years of
membership. If you would like to apply on behalf of your society to join the EFC as either a European Member Society or an
International Member Society, please complete the form and submit it to one of the three offices of the EFC General Secretariat
given below.
