Our Speaker : Senior Executive Engineer Ng Bingrong
Center of Excellence on Building Research
HDB Building Research Institute, Housing and Development Board, Singapore

Mr Ng Bingrong is a HDB overseas scholarship holder. He read Civil Engineering at Imperial College 


London, and graduated with a Masters in Engineering (Civil Engineering) First Class Honours.

Upon graduation, Mr Ng joined HDB in 2006. He took charge of HDB's 1st eco‐friendly housing precinct, 


Treelodge@Punggol, starting as the project coordinator on the conceptual and detailed design and later 
as the project director, managing the construction of the project. He is also actively involved in R&D on 
green building technologies, including energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, greenery 
solutions, and rainwater collection. 

Mr Ng is currently spearheading the R&D and wide‐scale test‐bedding of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) 
technologies in HDB estates. He has been involved in devising developmental plans and the actual 
implementation of R&D projects and developing strategic plans for future wide‐scale implementation.
