1. Kelvin is the unit used for temperature, while joule is the unit used for heat. Heat and
temperature differ in their reactivity to the quantity of molecules present. Heat and temperature
also differ in the types of variables. Lastly, they are measured differently. Heat is measured
using a calorimeter while on the other hand, temperature is measured using a thermometer.

2. Heat is referred to as thermo, while motion is referred to as dynamics. The initial and the
ending states of heat are the only ones considered in thermodynamics. We examine the
processes of transporting heat from one body to another in heat transfer, such as conduction,
convection, and radiation. Thermodynamics shows us the amount of heat that is transported,
how much work has been completed, and the system's final state. On the other hand, heat
transfer shows us how heat is transported in one of three ways: conduction, convection, or
radiation, the pace at which heat is transferred, and the dispersion of body temperature.

3. The different ways of heat transfer include conduction, radiation, and convection. Conduction
is the passage of energy by direct contact between the molecules of a material or substance
with temperature variations. Radiation is the transmission of heat energy from atomic and
subatomic agitation at a body's surface in the form of electromagnetic waves. Convection is
defined as the enhancement of conduction in a fluid due to the fluid's motion.

4. Thermal conductivity is the rate at which a substance may transport heat.

5. The rate of heat transmission between a solid surface and a fluid is measured by the
convection heat-transfer coefficient.

6. The conduction process in solids works in two ways: vibrations in the lattice and free electron
transport. While gases have molecules that are constantly moving at random, transferring
energy and momentum. When a molecule from a high-temperature zone collides with one from
a low-temperature zone, the molecule loses energy as a result of the collision.

7. When a hot fluid, such as air, travels, it carries its energy with it. When a fluid, such as air,
travels through its bulk, it causes heat convection. When an item's surrounding fluid is heated,
energy is carried away from the source of heat, which is known as heat convection. When the
surface temperature of a fluid differs from that of the surrounding fluid, convective heat transfer
occurs.
8. The biggest order of magnitude belongs to forced convection, which is followed by free
convection and boiling.

9. In the presence of a material medium, heat is transported through conduction and convection.
In the case of radiation, no medium is required for heat transport. Heat transfer occurs in a
vacuum in the case of radiation. The transmission of electromagnetic radiation as a result of a
temperature differential is known as thermal radiation.

10. Copper, brass, lead, silver, aluminum, iron, mercury, steel, bronze, and gold are ten good
heat conductors.
Asbestos, water, cotton wool, glass, wood, cork, air, Styrofoam, rubber, and paper are ten poor
heat conductors.

11. Metals have the highest thermal conductivity, followed by solid insulating materials, liquids,
and finally gases.

12. He/she is incorrect, in my opinion, because I studied in ME22 that heat may be transported
in a vacuum, and I am aware of the three ways of heat transfer: conduction, convection, and
radiation.

13. The total of all internal energy kinds is enthalpy. Enthalpy is the heat absorbed or released
during chemical processes, whereas internal energy is the total of a system's potential and
kinetic energy. When a thermodynamic system expands under external pressure, the work is
done.
