THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

Unlike Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia, Badajoz has not got a huge

number of Mexican restaurants. However, recently a friend of mine
advised visiting a brand new restaurant “Tequila Loca Loca” inspired
by the Mexican food and style and I must admit I was pleasantly
surprised. It is located in the peaceful district of Valdepasillas, in
Calle Carranza, 10.

The first thing that captures the visitor’s attention is its fabulous
decoration. All pieces of furniture are made of different types and
colours of wood, which create a warm and cosy environment.
Together with the typical mariachi ambient music you feel as if you
were in a traditional Mexican village.

The second thing which attracts most is obviously the food. In the
menu you will find a large variety of tacos made with beef or pork,
quesadillas and chicken with roasted potatoes. Being a bit of a foodie,
I was really keen to try out chile en nogada, accompanied by their
most famous sauce which is a super spicy chili sauce. The flavours, the
spiciness as well as the way how the dish was presented made
everything a simply unforgettable experience!

Overall, if you are looking for a different place and original food in
Badajoz, you will not regret visiting “Tequila Loca Loca”.
