Iris Carr

Iris Car age 70 years. Widowed 35 years ago. She had 4 children of which only
1 lives with her and suffers from mental disability.

Her and her son's livelihood prior to the hurricanes was farming. However, the
land was filled with salt water as a result of the floods.

Currently, she subsists on the help of food packages provided by some

organization like us.
With the arrival of the first hurricane, she and her son were evacuated, when
they returned, their house was still there, but a few days later the second
hurricane came and this one destroyed everything, it left nothing.

"I was suffering and anguished because I didn't know what to do since I didn't
have a place of refuge.

Today that I see my house, I have no words to thank you. The new house for me
is synonymous with joy, today my heart is happy. I don't know how much
money this house cost, but may God reward you for all you have done for me.
