= The reason why plants transport sucrose rather than glucose is due to the fact that sucrose
also has glucose in it hence it has more energy when broken down and is more efficient.
Nearby cells in plants also would not take up all the sucrose too quickly. Hence the plant
converts glucose to sucrose before transporting them throughout the plant.

= Proteins can be used as messengers, catalysts support and protection.

(ii) Enzymes are mainly globular protein. With reference to the levels of protein organization,

the effect of temperature on the enzyme protease.

=Globular proteins are proteins that are soluble in water and has a complex 3D structure. If
the temperature of the enzyme protease gets too high then the enzyme loses its shape/
structure is altered, which is known as denaturation and as a result the enzyme ceases to
work.
