Finishing Process:

Following are the finishing process that were done after casting of camshaft.
 Fettling
 Shot Blasting
 Linishing

Fettling:
The first stage of the finishing process was fettling. In this process we used a band saw to remove excess
material such as riser, runner and sprue.

Shot Blasting:
The second stage of finishing process was shot blasting. We blasted the casting part with stainless steel shot.
Shot blasting removed contaminants and created a uniform finish. Then we inspected the part to check further
irregularities.
Linishing:
The third step in finishing process was linishing. We used belt sander remove further excess material.
