Kodim Intersection is one of (the) intersections located on Jalan Raya Sawangan, Depok
City. This intersection connects 3 (2) cities (and 1 district) those are Depok City, Bogor
(District) City, and South Jakarta, as a consequence, congestion often occurs (at the
intersection). Because of the congestion, many road users are restive. Congestion on Kodim
Intersection is caused by increasing volume of vehicles and high population growth. It is
compounded by the absence of traffic lights to unravel the (increase) surge volume of the
vehicles during peak hours. (This research aims to analyse the total vehicles flow and degree
of saturation at Kodim Intersection, Sawangan, Depok). Data collection method is (was)
carried out for 2 days on Tuesday and Sunday by (using) traffic volume survey of vehicles.
The traffic survey aims (aimed) to get (obtain) the highest vehicle volume data. Furthermore,
the data were analyzed using the Panduan Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI, 2014). Based
on research (the result of analysis), the highest value of vehicle volume is (was) found on
Tuesday afternoon with total of 7,993 vehicles/hour and (the) degree of saturation value can
be up to (was) 1.3. Based on the result of the highest vehicle volume and the degree of
saturation value, the level of traffic congestion at Kodim Intersection is high. The best
solution that can be done is to increase the width of (widen) the road and (to build new)
traffic lights. With this research, the authors hope the local government should widen the
road and build some (traffic) facilities such as traffic lights and road signs to unravel (the)
congestion (at the intersection).

With this research, the authors hope the local government should widen the road and build
some facilities such as traffic lights and road signs to unravel congestion.
