SAFE V.12.3.2

Max. L.T.D = 14.5 mm

SAFE V.16.0.0

Max. L.T.D = 14.5 mm

SAFE V.20.0.0

Max. L.T.D = 21.54 mm

ETABS V.20.0.0.

Max. L.T.D = 21.865 mm

Deflection using RCM V.17.8.5.

Max. L.T.D = 15.25 mm

Conclusion

Method RCM 17.8.5. SAFE V.12.3.2 SAFE V.16.0.0 SAFE V.20.0.0 ETABS V.20.0.0.
L.T.D. (mm) 15.25 14.5 14.5 21.54 21.865

• The study shows that the results of the Long Term Deflection (L.T.D.) from SAFE V.12.3.2. & SAFE V.16.0.0. are very close to the manual calculations
proceeded by RCM 17.8.5.
• The values of L.T.D. from the last versions of CSI software SAFE V.20.0.0. & ETABS V.20.0.0. are almost the same which indicates great accuracy between
them.
• The values of L.T.D. from SAFE V.20.0.0. & ETABS V.20.0.0. are higher than that of RCM by only 6 mm (0.6 cm), which can be considered as acceptable.
